Una gastronomía elegante espera al comensal en el área de comedor privada tanto dentro del establecimiento como al aire libre, así como los espacios en el bar principal. Justo al entrar lo recibe la barra de mármol, en donde se encontrará a la luz de las velas frente a las mesas de manteles blancos ubicadas en un área de hermoso piso de madera y ladrillo, y rodeadas de botellas de elegantes vinos italianos. Decir que la comida es auténtica sería un eufemismo, pues la chef y propietaria transporta al comensal hasta su ciudad en el norte de Italia gracias a las importaciones de comida italiana y a sus más de 40 vinos, casi todos ellos servidos por copa.

                                                                                        The service at The Italian Barrel was outstanding! The waitstaff was extremely attentive while also giving my fiancée and I our space to have a romantic dinner together. The restaurant itself is smaller, with less than twenty tables in the entire restaurant, which we both enjoyed! The smaller space gave off a much more intimate and romantic atmosphere that really adds to a relaxing date night. The pasta was delicious as well. I had the Penne Alla Vodka with crab while my fiancée had the fusilli with speck, both dishes were fantastic! Also, the focaccia with the oil and balsamic was the perfect appetizer before our meal. Overall, The Italian Barrel was fantastic, and a great change of pace from the Cajun and American restaurants found dotted all around the French Quarter. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nicer dinner in New Orleans.

                                                                                        Might have been off night so hate to be negative but my veal real picatta rubbery and bitter, like the lemon had been left on too long. The salads were very good. Service was good but the kitchen took longer than expected.
