New England's only Scottish Restaurant and Bar in the historic Haffenreffer brewery complex in Jamaica Plain, (relocated in 2022 - after originally opening in 2010).
We now provide expanded menu offerings, multiple weekly events and a fantastic cocktail and single malt program in a beautiful award-winning designed space. There's a tasteful nod to Scotland and a sense of comfort throughout the new larger space. There's a reason The Haven is a favorite gathering spot for our friends - great food, incredible service, relaxed ambiance. It is now our "unofficial clubhouse" location.

We have been to The Haven often; it is one of our favorite places. This is the first time I have given it fewer than five stars. For some reason, both of our meals -- I had the fish and chips, my wife had a burger -- were particularly greasy and didn't sit well with us afterward. This was an anomaly, and we will certainly be back.

Superb restaurant with a warm inviting interior and friendly staff. Food is always wonderful. We had the veggie )beyond) burger which was amazing prepared on a brioche bun and cheddar cheese. The chips (fries) are huge and delicious. My partner had the five cheese pizza which was terrific… amazingly good considering this is a Scottish restaurant. Jason the owner is a wonderful host and will make you feel very welcomed. Haven is a real Boston gem!

Waitress was awesome. Someone spilled their drink and she gave the person a refill of what was spilt! Food was outstanding too!! Overall the best time I’ve been to the Haven!

We are just in town for a few days but we would come back again. It was superb. We had the fish plate for an appetizer and the Haven Haggis and Fish suppers. Everything was delicious and top quality.

Best fish and chips in Boston. Feels like a Scottish pub with authentic food choices, a great whiskey selection and beers on tap that you don’t normally see around here. I would strongly recommend The Haven

We had a nice dinner with our son and his wife on Sunday. We had made a reservation and the place was getting busy at 6pm. Service is attentive, the food is varied and better than regular bar food. I had Fish and Chips and the cod was excellent covered with a thin(not greasy) batter. Delicious!

Very nice place for an Easter brunch, although the menu was small, there was something for everyone. It was a quiet cordial venue, bar looks gorgeous, ambiance was lovely. Can't wait to try the patio when weather is warmer!

I've been to the Haven a few times for the rugby and it's a great pub. The room with the projector is super and the staff are really nice.

As usual, top notch food and drink from a friendly and attentive staff. Portions are generous. Everything is prepared perfectly. Hunter’s Chicken is one of the only non-fried chicken entrees I’ll order at Boston area restaurants. Highly recommend The Haven!

Always a great time at the Haven! The food is excellent, Jason (the owner) is always charming, and the staff are terrific. Their menu is excellent - I especially enjoy brunch here. If you're a scotch drinker, you'll love their wide selection of whiskies. But you'll find something to please you whatever your tastes are! 100% recommended.

Great place to dine with our party of 6. The Haven Burgers were delicious. We also enjoyed the scotch eggs as appetizers along with beer and wine. The seating was comfortable and service from our waiter, Oliver, was just right. The interior of the restaurant is spacious with a cheerful ambiance. It’s one of the largest restaurants in Jamaica Plain, and it’s adjacent to the Sam Adams Brewery complex. I always enjoy coming to the Haven.

Always love going to The Haven. First time having lunch in the “new” space: usually there for dinner. There were three newborns with six adults at the next table: awake but quiet. I think they liked it there too!

Excellent as always and a little taste of Scotland just around the corner. For a Scotch drinker it’s also nice to go out to eat and have a variety of quality single malt scotch to choose from. Only wish would be to add maybe haggis bonbons and a steak pie to the menu.

The Haven is such a class establishment. Jason, the proprietor, was such a gracious and friendly host (a true Scotsman)! Went there for a burns cabaret and it was so festive and such a class act. Food was outstanding as well. Will be returning soon

Cozy setting. Best version of a Shirley Temple I have ever had! Delicious na version is both kid and adult friendly, not too sweet with lime juice and real maraschinos!

We love Jason. Food experience was mixed. The chicken sausage wasn’t great, and the oat cakes used to be brilliant, now a bit tasteless.

Excellent and beautifully served food. Nice drinks. Very friendly and helpful staff, great service. We loved the atmosphere and had a wonderful evening. It was our second time there and will definitely come back.

It was our first time and we loved The Haven! Can't wait to go back from the burger. We had the salmon over barley, pepperoni pizza and a vegetarian entree and they were all delicious. The cocktails were great, too. The owner, Jason, was super and the ambiance is fun and perfect.
