If you’re visiting Jackson Hole, this restaurant is a MUST! Food was phenomenal. Atmosphere was perfect for a mountain vacation. Service was fantastic. Be prepared to drop about $400 for a party of 6, but totally worth it.

We had a great meal and experience here! All of the food was fantastic with standouts including the filet flight (elk, bison and beef) and the game in general. The decor was a bit dated but fit with the theme. Only turnoff to me and a couple others was the taxidermy throughout the restaurant. Yes, I know that’s part of the “western” thing but it wasn’t for me.

I ordered French onion soup that was very good. We also had fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and they were good also. When we got our meals we were disappointed. I ordered prime rib and my boyfriend ordered a ribeye. The cut of the prime rib was terrible. It was chewy and only 1/4 of a slice. His ribeye was not a ribeye cut. More of a New York strip. It was also tough and chewy, not the way a ribeye should be. Very disappointed since the restaurant is rated top steakhouse in Jackson.

Best “game” in town. Fantastic menu, service and atmosphere. We were not rushed and enjoyed our meal thoroughly. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Jackson!

totally overrated as far as food goes. Meats were not great quality. Salads just ok. Desserts were very good. I wouldn't kill myself to go there.

Food was prepared just to our requested temps. I had the filet flight(beef, bison and elk), kids had hamburger and salmon that were tasty. Staff was attentive with our drinks and we were seated in a timely manner. Overall great experience for our family!

The tenderloins were over cooked & the hamburger was undercooked. Prices have really gone up in past 2yrs, so not as good of a deal as use to be. Atmosphere still fun: so a good place to take visitors.

We had a large group of 12 and everyone enjoyed the experience so much.. we came back a 2nd time! We loved the ribs and seafood dishes. The focaccia was also nice!

The classic “first time I’ve sent food back” post, but truly had to send my steak back twice and ended up just having our drinks and grabbing dinner somewhere else. Bummer for it being a steak focused restaurant. Our server was great and apologized numerous times and comped the steak. My wife’s ravioli was delicious, though!

We’ve been going to the gun barrel for over 15 years and there have been alot of changes to their menu. The value of the meal is not equal to the portions. The kids menu has gone down hill as they used to offer a nice kids steak and that is a lot better than chicken nuggets and a hamburger. They used to offer a nice bread to eat on before your meal came and now you have to pay $8 dollars for bread. The dessert menu is less to be desired… bring back the bread pudding and the ice cream cake! Bring back sweet potato’s with butter and brown sugar… very disappointing. There were two families while we were sitting there waiting to order that left because the menu wasn’t that great and very overpriced. So sad to see this happening to a place that was where we always made time to visit. They used to blame Covid but they don’t have that excuse anymore!

We left Gun Barrel to be the last dinner of our week in Jackson Hole due to the great reviews we had read, and it did not disappoint at all! Food, drinks and service were outstanding. Elk with huckleberry reduction was my favorite! Ambiance is very original as former wild animal museum with all kinds of animals on the walls and around the floor. Would definitely return, and would highly recommend that you visit when you are in Jackson.

One of our favorite places in JH for a family vacay meal! Our waitress - Emma - did an excellent job for our party of 8. Food was outstanding - as always. Bison tenderloin, bison filet mignon, elk tenderloin and peach cobbler with ice cream were our top picks!! Mixed drinks are great. The Gun Barrel is always on our list of dining in JH. Definitely make reservations.
