The Grill on the Alley a été ouvert en 1984 comme un hommage vivant aux grands grills américains d'autrefois. This place is always great. Went here for Mother's Day and these guys don't lose a step for events like this. The pace isn't rushed and the food is consistent. You can also count on them to decorate with a little flair. A go to pick for events or just a comfortable night out.

Decent service, but not great. My boys ordered the chicken hash and the ahi tuna tacos and they couldn’t eat more than half of their orders due to the food tasting bland. I ordered the chicken pot pie and thought that it was pretty good. But, it wasn’t good enough to go back for. Overall, a loud restaurant with mediocre food that was unreasonably expensive for an average quality lunch experience.

I ordered the shrimp scampi over pasta. The shrimp was a bit overcooked, but overall it was tasty. Our friends got the Chicken pot pie, and it was very good (they shared their pie). Drinks are amazing. We all got Margaritas, and they were very smooth and very tasty. The cheese bread is amazing. The atmosphere is very nice, it was busy, but didn't feel crowded and you didn't have to yell to be heard (like most nice restaurants we go to!). It's a mix of people, including younger groups and older groups. The restaurant has a nice layout, the tables are not crowded together, and although The Grill has been around for a very long time, and feels "old school" in all the good ways, but it didn't feel tired or old. Although, I wasn't thrilled about the scampi, I would definitely recommend dining there for dinner.

The grill is always a favorite. I’m partial to the fish dishes. But the steak is equally as good. Also the lobster salad and shrimp and crab salad is very refreshing. The grill is great for both lunch and dinner. Family and business. Perfect for after shopping and grabbing a seat at the bar. Definitely go if you have not been you will not be disappointed. Always a solid meal and experience. The staff from hosts to servers are just on top of it as well. It always seems like they know exactly when to check in with the table. They are all amazing.

Lovely early dinner at a classic Beverly Hills restaurant. It has a very chill upscale vibe so not a place for carousing. Just an elegant and expensive old school place tucked away from the world. Highlights: Lots of service, great sourdough bread, and all were happy with their entrees. The wedge salad and the key lime pie were a hit. Continental selections on the menu. Expense account level price points. Mid range bottles of wine are in the $200 range. Valet is $14 and be prepared to see $100 -$150 steaks.

We had a great time The veal piccata? Was delicious. I had my lobster bisque I hadn’t had for years. We shared delicious cheese cake, had our fav. Cosmos. What could be better!!!

I ordered the NY steak and was told that if I wanted my food to come out at the same time as my dinner companion’s (she ordered a petite filet), it would need to be BUTTERFLIED! I didn’t want to add any drama by arguing that I’d ordered a NY steak 50+ times before and I had NEVER been told this before. Anyway, the butterflied steak was horrible. I left half of it. I will never eat there again. Btw, the restaurant was empty, so it’s not like the chef was juggling food orders. Nonsense. Unhappy with this place.

This place is incredible. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The food is always consistently excellent one of the few restaurants in Los Angeles, where the waiters don’t want to be actors and they are all phenomenal at their jobs. This is a one of a kind gem from management down to busing service. They are all friendly and enjoy their jobs.

Pamela helms a tip top ship at Grill On The Alley. Patricia with service staff is one in a million. The best steak Tare Tare I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. A must when in Beverley Hills.

Loved this place- but on this visit many of the food items on the menu were not available and we were disappointed such as the Lake superior white fish, chicken pot pie, etc The crab cakes were good, but only one cake and the seared ahi was tasteless. The burger was under cooked and the john dory was so so. The seabass was good, but little to no sauce All in all- not a great experience this time arounf

When we visit Los Angeles, we go to The Grill on the Alley. We enjoy the John Dory, and our great friend enjoys the whitefish. Great choices. The chef consistently prepares these entrees with great skill. They are delicious especially with a side of their sautéed spinach.

Since discovering "Grill on the Alley" about it year ago, its become one of my favorite spots. When I walk in through a discrete entry, it feels like I've entered another time any place. A touch of a "high end speak easy" meets "Golden Age New York Eatery". It's far more spacious than the entry implies. The guys at the door are classy, helpful and fun....And perfectly prepared and presented delicious dishes are delivered by truly professional waiters (a rarity in LA). Overall "Grill on the Alley" for me, defines the meaning of "A Wonderful Dining experience". Thanks and you soon.

We love the grill but the last two visits we experienced a couple issues. Last night, I had the pork chop. It was supposed to be cooked medium but it was cooked very thoroughly through and was very tough. My mashed potatoes were lumpy. Everything else, including the service, was excellent. The visit prior: the garlic cheese bread was almost burned. On each occasion, I didn't say anything, due to stories about what happens when you send food back.
