We had a great evening. We started at the bar and eventually sat in the outdoor patio and had dinner. Everything was great and we truly enjoyed it

The food was excellent, but the service from the front of the house staff and the servers was horrible. Super disappointed as we have come her many times and always enjoyed the experience. Clearly something has changed and I would not recommend coming here again. It’s unfortunate, as the ambiance and the food were great.

Service was slow, the French onion dip and their ranch dressing is tangy (like it was made with Greek yogurt) and my salmon was raw on the inside. We waited for a new one or for them to cook it more, we were finally told that it would take 20 more minutes. Everyone was done eating at this point so I said to just cancel it. Not the best Mother’s Day dinner for me.

It was Mother’s Day and we were sitting at the table outside that doesn’t have heater.it was cold.it seems like the waitress was annoyed to serve us.great view thought.The food was okay for the price we paid.

Food quality for the price was dismal. Raw eggs, dry fratitta, tasteless dry quiche, waitress (not ours) complaining that she didn’t get to serve a specific large table, bacon arrived after meal finished, over priced.

Wonderful late lunch to celebrate my brides first official mother's day. Weather was perfect and so was our view of South Torrey's first tee, fairway with the Pacific in the background!

We arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation, the hostess gladly checked us in but told us we couldn’t be seated until closer to our reservation time. We understood and happily waited nearby. For the next 25 minutes we watched as several (8) tables sat empty for the majority of the time. Finally the other host said our table was ready. He had us follow him to 1 of the only 2 tables that can’t accommodate a wheelchair. I made it clear when making the reservation that I needed a wheelchair compatible table. Being local we have eaten here many times and knew they could accommodate. He immediately recognized the mistake and tried to seat us at a table that was so badly placed it sat at about a 15° angle to the floor. I refused and suggested he put us at one of the many empty tables that offered better space and comfort. He reluctantly complied. Once seated our waitress was amazing. Very pleasant and very attentive. The food was great as it always is, however, I was slightly disappointed that they didn’t offer the full normal brunch menu on this particular day. The food and our waitress saved the day for us.

Was Mother’s Day took very long time to get water and then food. Mimosa was good! Salad was good. Onion rings amazing. Chicken sandwich and burger just ok!

Celebrated Mother’s Day at outdoor patio. Very nice although they could have had more brunch options on the menu, as there were only 4-5 to choose from. Could not make waffles due to their machine being “down.” Steak and eggs was still good. Ambience was great with a sunny day at Torrey Pines golf course!

For some reason the Grill allowed four outrageously drunk men to sit in the dining room and act in an incredible boorish manner. For over 45 minutes we were regaled with the F-bomb, C-bomb, other loudly yelled profanities along with a long litany of anti-gay slurs. The manager did eventually ask the men to leave and apologized to them profusely. The manager also apologized to us if our feelings were hurt. It isn’t about. Feelings it is about proper public behavior. I didn’t know that Torrey Pines was a public course, but now I do.

The Drugstore Hamburger was the best hamburger I have ever had. The sesame bun was flavorful and melted in your mouth along with the delicious beef. The outdoor seating was pleasant and our seat was visible to watching the golfers tee off. Our server Daniel was friendly with excellence service. This is a must for anyone visiting the Lodge Torrey Pines.

We got charged 2.00 for hot water. Not warned ahead of time. I asked for wheat toast instead of sour dough. Charged me 2.50. Our burger was odd. The meat was all crumbled up and falling apart.

Beautiful setting. Only downside was my food - I ordered the quinoa salad with roasted vegetables and I added salmon. The plate just had a huge portion of plain quinoa with no seasoning or flavor, it was very bland. Then a small portion of roasted vegetables and salmon was placed on the other side of the plate. The others in my party enjoyed their food.

Everything was great, but the service was not what I was expecting. Waitress was a little abrasive and seemed upset that we were trying each other’s food. Then I asked if she could grab a plate for me and she rolled her eyes like something was wrong. I came to the conclusion that she doesn’t grab dishes. Only the bussers are suppose to grab plates.

For a sunny day it was freezing. Better heaters or turn them on. Asked but not much changed. The onion dip was curtled and lumpy. Sandwich was sparse went and got food somewhere else after lunch. Still coming back even tho it wasn’t great.

I’ve eaten at the Grill several times but always on the patio, This time was inside and it was NOT the same ambience or experience- loud open kitchen, children jumping on booths and ugly decor. Same wonderful service and food but would never pay those prices again to eat inside.

We stayed at the Hilton next door but ate at The Grill for 2 dinners. First time we ate outside, watched the greens, enjoyed the fresh air. Lisa was our fabulous server. Swordfish and Lamb Shank were delicious and the calamari with macadamia nuts and a pineapple salsa appetizer was the best we've ever had! Next dinner we chose inside with Nick ( and Lisa selected him for us!!). Crispy Skin Salmon and the Drug Store Hamburger with a side of onion rings and salad. The half of the menu we tried in two dinners was amazing!! Cocktails well-crafted and they had my Zacapa rum for bonus points!!!

The food was very good. The cost is a bit pricey for what you get. However, the lodge is beautiful and the views are outstanding.

We had the best server, Paris, during our birthday lunch. She was so attentive checking in but didn’t seem intrusive. We started off by sharing a shrimp cocktail—7 plump large shrimp that included a seaweed salad that was divine! We each chose a sandwich: a Reuben for me and the grilled chicken for my sister. These were truly giant sandwiches so we could only eat half! The mixed green salad with shallot dressing & sweet potato and regular fries accompanied our entrees so well. We finished up with a an innovative berry blondie with lemon buttermilk ice cream—both homemade! One of our best lunches to date!

We go there for the Famous Drugstore Hamburger, with half rings and fries. My wife and I split it and have a salad. She a glass of cabranet Sauvignon and me an IPA. Best lunch going, and view from the patio over the Torrey Pines Golf course to the shining blue Pacific Ocean for some nature therapy.

Once we got to our table, everything went well. However, I got a text my table was ready a few minutes early. When we got there, there was no reservation. Then I received an email telling me my reservation was changed and I had added another person so 3 instead of 2. That didn't happen. It appears someone might have tried to take my reservation.

Gorgeous setting and view. Excellent greeter. Unengaging, amost haughty server. Massive, undercooked pancakes. Uncomfortable chairs. Exorbitant prices.

Had 1 extra guest and they would not seat us I had to suggest we sit 3/2 on the benches Not accommodating and they were 4 empty tables next to us Burgers were overcooked Fish was dry Service slow Wings which are normally amazing were poor Not sure if there is a new chef but our worst experience at Torrey pines lodge ever

Great table location, our guests were delighted, the food was excellent and great service. The only aspect I question is the added ‘Appreciation Fee’ of 3%, it feels like an ‘imposed tip’.

It was a delightful experience. The ambiance is excellent. Views of the mighty Pacific and the famous golf course. The service was courteous, helpful, and prompt.

Food was good, but not great. Service started slow, but attentiveness improved after our main waiter,got on board., I really hate it when the main course arrives before we finish our salad, but that’s what happened. That alone is a significant demerit. Desert was delicious, and the highlight of the meal. All in all a pretty decent experience

A beautiful location. Fabulous views and a very peaceful setting. Food, service excellent. Sitting outside the wind is cold due to the fact that you are sitting high up overlooking the ocean. Therefore take a jacket.
