Nestled on the banks of the majestic Assiniboine River at the western edge of Winnipeg’s city limits, our beautifully restored country estate re-opened in August 2006 as the premier dining and banquet facility in Manitoba. Under new ownership and with a fresh new look, we provide world-class services, spectacular local cuisine, and an unparalleled ambience to meet your every need.

Today, The Gates on Roblin spans the immaculate seven-acre property and include a state-of-the-art 16,000 square foot banquet hall, sophisticated lounge area, one of the best veranda's in Winnipeg, upscale private dining rooms, and of course our wonderful bakery.

Went with my girlfriend, amazing food, infact i think the tenderloin had my gf questioning any food shes ever had lol, had a young man as our waiter who was incredibly respectful and made us feel very welcomed, 10/10 experience, will most certainly be dining here again, and many more times (would highly recommend the baked brie, amazing appetizer)

We had a lovely dinner with first rate food gorgeously presented and oh so tasty . There were gluten free options for appetizers , entrees and dessert which we really appreciated due to being celiac. The ambience was lovely and the service was excellent. It was nice to eat out when the waiter is not waiting to take away you plate but let’s you enjoy your night out. It made our anniversary dinner very special !

We came to celebrate an elderly friend's birthday who is celiac and she was easily accommodated with gluten-free options including bread as well as a couple of choices for dessert. We were greeted upon arrival and our coats checked, then taken to our table. Our waiter was very good and the food was tasty with generous portions. Our friend has mobility issues and there is a handicapped walkway into the restaurant as well as a main floor washroom. When we were leaving, our friend chose to leave via the stairs and a very friendly gentleman (he appeared to be the Manager) was very attentive in seeing we were both safe coming down the stairs and even opening the car doors for us. We felt well cared for and will definitely be back!

I have gone many times. I will continue going since it is my favorite place, especially in the summer. It's very beautiful around... I like everything...the food. the service, the cleanliness and the ambience... it is a very elegant place...

Loved the Sunday Buffet as ALWAYS! Great variety of many fresh dishes! Our group was able to stay and visit longer too without being sent on our way. Hope to visit you again.

We enjoyed a lovely celebratory family Sunday brunch at The Gates. The service was exceptional... attentive and friendly. There were many choices for the vegetarian in our group, including a made-to-order Eggs Benny. There were lovely baking selections (muffins, croissants, cinnamon buns, etc.), great breakfast choices (bacon, hash browns, customized omelettes and crepes), and plenty of lunch options (stew, salmon cakes, rosemary chicken, prime rib and salad bar). There were also delicious options for dessert, tea, coffee, juice and soft drinks. We will definitely return to The Gates for their delicious brunch!

Over many years we have attended The Gates for many different occasions and the experience has always been gratifying. Our dinner was excellent with the prime rib done to perfection ... and the Calamari was delicious. Service was dignified, friendly and timely. Great ambience. We will look forward to our next occasion. Compliments to the staff and chef!
