We LOVE The Front Yard - the setting is lovely, the wait staff superb, and the food sensational. We are truly addicted to their TFY burger and fabulous fries, among many other items. We introduce all of our friends to the setting, and they love it as well.

This place is a California dream. Indoor - outdoor upscale casual ambience. You can choose a booth, bar table, regular table or couch on the outdoor patio. Patio is dog friendly. Menu is sooo good. Lets of fresh seasonal items. Highlights for me are blue crab salad and the burger is made of spare rib not chuck - dynamite! Staff is amazing. They always take extra care with first time guests and always welcome you back warmly if you're a repeat customer. Highly recommend. Good idea to reserve during meal rush hours.

I just encountered the most unfortunate situation with the Manager, Steven on Friday 5/10/24. I booked a table at 5PM it did say happy hour. When we were seated they gave us the happy hour menu and said it was closing in 15 minutes. We got drinks and then a bill was given to us to close out. We wanted to order dinner. No one came over to our table to offer us a dinner menu. When we inquired for one, the waiter said she had to get the manager because this table was booked for a dinner reservation. The manager was so condescending when he came to speak to us. He was rude, his approach was anti-customer service and his undertone was very racially insensitive. He refused to understand that we came here for dinner and that no one communicated to us that we wouldn’t be able to eat dinner. I come here all the time and this was the first time I encountered such an experience.

I love this place. Location staff and usually the food. Bacon Mac and cheese awesome. Mixed mushrooms awesome fries the best. But two of us share the tomahawk steak. 100 bucks and sadly so gristly. Just awful. I’ll be back but I won’t try that again. And the weird ground potato tubes that come with it are just that- weird and meaningless. Still I love front yard. Just not that dish

We didn’t get impressed.. first we had to wait for the table to finally be placed at the « picnic » table.. then the restaurant is in the middle of a triangle 101, hotel, parking… it’s not that nice. Food was ok, not a big choice but drinks & food was fine. Nothing exceptional

Love the outdoor patio and the food is quite good but we had a reservation for 7 pm and had to wait 20 minutes for a table when there were plenty of empty tables. Very disappointing. I felt the management of the situation was not good.

Loved everything about this restaurant. We went for the first time this past Sunday for Brunch. The hotel that it is attached to is really cool and added to us living the restaurant too. Service was 100%, food was so delicious with the exception of the beignets that were dense and under done at the same time. We tried the Hot Chicken Biscuit, Carnitas Benedict, and the Shortrib Hash. Yum! The ambiance was terrific and we are looking forward to returning some time soon for dinner service. We had a 11:15 am reservation, and the noise level was perfect until 12:00 when the restaurant and outdoor patio filled. We were sitting inside, just inside the open windows out to the patio. Looking forward to patio seating next time. All in all loved and it is now a new favorite!

Beautiful spot. We went here for breakfast. We got the buffet since it seemed like a good deal and it said on the menu that it had everything you could think of for breakfast. Went to go check it out. Ok, it wasn’t everything you could think of for breakfast, but for $23 per person, what would you expect? They had scrambled eggs with spinach, bacon, sausage, country potatoes, variety of fruit, bagels, bread, danishes, cereal, yogurt, hard boiled egg, oatmeal, various juices and coffee. Wasn’t too bad. My husband complained to Dan that the food was cold. Dan had the kitchen reset the food again and had everything cooked up fresh and he comped one of our buffets off our bill. Excellent service. Dan took care of us and treated us with respect and made us feel important and heard. He didn’t just brush us off and remedied the situation right away! The outdoor patio is beautiful and they have umbrellas for shade and heating lamps when it was a little chilly in the morning. Overall, great restaurant and service is as it should be. Competent, attentive servers and staff who listen and make sure their customers are satisfied, which we were. I would come back again because they do have good food here, not just for breakfast but happy hour, lunch and dinners are delicious.

We sat outside and it was absolutely beautiful ! They had an appropriate amount of heaters to keep you warm but not hot. The food was delicious and came quickly. The service was amazing, our waiter was super on top of everything, knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. Everything was very lovely !

The food, the ambience, the service . . . all simply delightful! Really appreciated the staff working with us as our flight into LA was 4 hours late and they worked with us so we could still come for dinner!! It was sooooo good that we came back for brunch while we're still in LA and it was absolutely perfect, too!! Highly recommend to the locals and we'll be back next time we are in LA!!

3 off us ordered the vegan main dish. It was truly terrible, basically mashed potatoes over some sautéed pieces of mushrooms, asparagus and butternut squash. It was called butternut squash “Shepards pie”. Not sure how they can serve this dish and charge $26 for it…..

Tony our server was extraordinary! Great vibe for dinner. I have only been there in the past for daytime lunch with is good also, but highly recommend evenings here as well. Tony went out of his way to acommodate our very long dinner.

We had an amazing experience from beginning to the end. Our 13th year anniversary was beautifully spent at The Front Yard. Our waiter recommended the most delicious dessert and answered all of our questions! Food was amazing and good portions for the prices! Will go back again!

We celebrated my son's birthday there and it was absolutely perfect!!! Our server Emily was absolutely fantastic. Never once did we have to track her down for anything. Emily really gets 10 stars.

If I could give it 10 Stars, I would. We were looking for a place in the valley for brunch, that took reservations. We loved that we had the option to sit outside, and that parking was not an issue. Couldn't have loved our server (Emily) any more. She was polite, attentive, went above and beyond her regular duties to help us celebrate my moms 80th. We honestly did not want to leave. I wish we could have tried more of their food. We enjoyed the deviled eggs, the espresso martini, the avocado toast, and OMG - get the pop tarts!!

What a pleasant surprise assembled across front yard in studio City. The vibe, the service and the food all were exceptional. Bonus for having such a authentic and fun 70s aesthetic that had been modernized to make the custom really comfortable but also enjoy the history of the venue. Be sure to try the hot chicken and the espresso margarita. If you are an old-fashioned fan, be sure to grab the one with uncle whiskey in the mix.

The food is amazing. That said, be ready for a VERY busy and LOUD restaurant. If that works for you, this place is great! The combination of great food, good service, options for inside, outside, table or booth plus easy access from all over LA, accessible parking (self and valet) and a great atmosphere makes it one of the best choices around. I just want to stress that the noise level may be a bit much for some people.
