Fabulous small local high end restaurant with exquisite menu options . Food plating is artistically appealing and appetizers and main entrees are delicious and well seasoned. Celebrated our anniversary and service was exceptional. Table seating was very nice with both ceiling and side table heaters . Scallops and Rack of Lamb cooked perfectly along with organic salad and lentil soup accompaniments.

Phenomenal experience end to end. A well curated and delivered menu with an equally as impressive service experience. The owner made a point to come over and inquire if we were being taken care of— we will certainly be back.

Beautiful view! Excellent service. We love our server Francisco. He made us feel welcome! Unfortunately the food was not as good as we were expecting. I’m saying this because we have been going to other restaurants in Newport like Fable & Spirits and etc, there is no comparison. I feel like this restaurant was from 90’s and have not been upgraded in their food level. They definitely need to bring their food quality and menu to today’s competition. I really liked the friendly service and do feel bad for leaving a negative review regarding their food, but want to say something hoping they make a positive change!

We had a lovely dinner. The view is beautiful, harbor side, on the water. I ordered octopus appetizer--very creative and delicious. The bay scallops wrapped in prosciutto were very good, on a bed of butternut squash risotto. I did not have room for dessert. The personnel were friendly, courteous and prompt. I will return and try some of the other menu items. It is a very nice place to celebrate a special occasion, to take a very special date.

The Food was incredible, service was excellent, we celebrated a birthday as did our next table and we all left full and happy. I would recommend for any special occasion. We will be coming back soon. Keep up the good work Dock Team!

It wasn’t a busy night but the service and food was awesome. The staff was very attentive and we never felt rushed. Wine by the glass for cabs was a little light but found a bottle in my price range that was excellent. Location is away from busy streets in a quiet location. Self parking was good but again it was a weekday. The restaurant faces the boating channel and the windows were open even though it was a cool night but the heat lamps made for great ambiance. Will definitely be back!

My family enjoyed a wonderful birthday celebration at The Dock. We had the perfect table next to the water and our server, Mary, and the rest of the staff took very good care of us. We started with crab beignets which were outstanding, and the halibut special was fabulous also.

Had a great meal. Everything was delicious. Ty e waiter was very knowledgeable. Awesome atmosphere. Small dining room which I like. It was a great place for a date. Highly recommend.

My sister and I love this hidden gem of Orange County. This visit, we took our 15 year old niece for a birthday dinner. She's a little foodie and she was excited. She loved it. She's a very picky eater and everything was so good. She even convinced her parents to make a reservation. The service is stellar, the food is scrumptious, and it's right near the water. What's not to love? Another wonderful experience at The Dock.

Love the people, love the ambience, love that they have fire, pits and heaters, it is wide open on the dock side to the inlet. The food was a little bit sweet for the gravy, the scallops were perfectly cooked. The food did not come out as warm as I would hope. They gave us amuse bouche. It was very good. The scallops were great, but it was the sauce that was a bit under the sweet side. The pork loin could be a little juicier and more tender. The beet salad was excellent. The prices are a bit expensive, but it is in a nice location With boats slapping next to you.

When all the reviews said Gem they were not kidding. Food was amazing, service was exceptional and my wife who is picky loved it. We will be back again next time we are in New Port area

EXCELLENT! We were seated with no wait, and enjoyed great service throughout the evening, starting with perfect martinis. The appetizers and salads were very nicely prepared, and our scallop and Halibut entrees delicious. It was our first time, and we will return.

My wife and I have visited multiple time and have never been disappointed. Service , awesome. Food, awesome. The soup de jour, which has always been mushroom since we found this gem, is to die for. Creamy, mushroomy, not over truffley, rich - ummmm.

This restaurant is a gem! Probably one of the best restaurant meals I have had. The Crispy octopus was amazingly tender and flavorful. The rack of lamb was also so tender and tasty with the ratatouille, hummus and couscous sides. Portions are large. No room for dessert but they sounded delicious. My only criticism was my cocktail had very little flavor (Catalina something) But still a fantastic meal!

My wife and I booked for our anniversary. I could not have imagined a better setting. The staff ensured we had the best table and service. The food was remarkable and satisfying. The ambiance was warm, cozy and familiar though it was our first time dining there. Overall delightful experience and will definitely return.

We eat at The Dock at least twice a month. By far the best food and service of any restaurant in Newport Beach. Amazing all the way around! Enjoy!

We dined here to celebrate some recent successes at work and were blown away. I have lived in Newport Beach for years now and am mad I hadn’t known about The Dock sooner! Our server was knowledgeable and made great recommendations. I had the halibut special and it was truly the best halibut I have ever had. It was so special to dine right on the water in a very cozy and intimate setting!

I can't imagine a more wonderful, personal, delightful, and more elegant dining experience than the Dock. I hate writing this review, because it will be harder for them to squeeze me in if too many people read this, but, what an amazing place. Our special memories at the Dock stretch back for more than a decade, and hopefully will extend forward for many years to come. Wow! What a find.
