    Again , everything about this place was wonderful , aside from the cuisine and selections which are outstanding the atmosphere is all about human goodness and kindness , everyone is friendly and smiling and it shows that they love being there. If the owners open up a carbon copy of this restaurant in Port Washington NY , I want to partner with them. Had some folks from Germany with me , they loved it and so did I , again as it was my 4th time. Best in show here folks.

    Wine list was meh but the food was delicious, especially the Osso Bucco! Service was good as well

    Brunch at The Cookery is the best deal around. Three delicious courses as well as one drink. My favorite place for brunch and we love dinners there as well!

    Loudest place I’ve ever been to. Including concerts….truly couldn’t hear a thing the whole time. Pasta wasn’t just Al dente - it was like rubbery calamari texture and sauce just didn’t see freshly poured on. Meatballs and sauce great. Crostini very good. Fish sandwich just not special, ok fine. It was the noise level that would keep me from ever coming back and that’s a shame for any restaurant because there are things you can do about that.

    What a fantastic food experience!! We were greeted at the door by a very friendly host who made us feel right at home. Our server Malorie was just wonderful!! We started with the octopus which had a burst of flavor! It had a consistency of steak, not rubbery at all, simply delicious. Then we had the rigatoni with bone marrow which was so good we could have each had our own. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the bone marrow was delicious. My husband had the pork osso buco. All he left on the plate was the bone! It was super fantastic and very filling. The pork just melted right off the bone. I had the market fish which was black sea bass that was incredible. It was served with a sweet pea reduction and a nice mix of crunchy asparagus and mushrooms. Dessert was stickabutta pie and a heavenly slice of lemon pound cake that came with housemade blueberry swirl ice cream. Both were incredible. Cant wait to go back to this place. The music was so good, the atmosphere was homey and they take their time between courses to serve you which was awesome!

    My expectations were much higher based on the Cookery it used to be. Went from gourmet all around top notch culinary experience to very average. Our waitress was good but the guy who brought us the plates was not - not properly dressed, looked disheveled, dropped the plates carelessly (almost felt like a dog). There was also a very strong smell of floor cleaning solution that permeated the whole restaurant and made you feel like you were eating in the bathroom. Music was more suited to a bar than a restaurant. All in all I am so sad that this restaurant has lost its edge.
