The food was great as usual... Melt in your mouth steaks. But..... Service was a little off, not the best table location and size. Took forever to get drinks and bread. App' delivered before bread and drinks arrived. awkward when only one person had something and other diner sat and stared), couldn't even nibble on something. The only saving grace were the steaks.... We'll be back again, but hope service is better

The food was really good but we had to wait quite a while but it was Mother's Day so I guess that's to be expected. The atmosphere was nice, didn't really like where we were seated but the waiter was wonderful 😀. Overall, for the price and what you get (portions), it was worth it!

We had not been to the Charcoal Room at the Santa Fe in quite a while. We decided to go there for Mother's Day dinner, taking into account that the restaurant would be full. It was, indeed, full of diners but I must say our waitstaff were excellent, attending to our table on a very regular basis. We did order from the special Mother's Day menu - the filet and shrimp were delicious and cooked perfectly! Our table also ordered the Lobster and Fennel ravioli which was given a resounding approval. I love the various choices from the warm breadbasket. I highly recommend The Charcoal Room at the Santa Fe. Prices are very reasonable.

While the menu is limited in choice the preparation was excellent . They have eliminated previous choices which makes it difficult if you have a vegetarian guest. Not all like sea bass

I ordered the 10oz filet medium. It came out well done. I don’t like this because I didn’t get to enjoy my meal with the family because it takes several minutes to prepare another steak while my family already had their meal

Our service was TERRIBLE!!! Once our server took our order, she never came back unless it was to drop the check. We had to keep asking for refills from other servers walking by. Our salads came out before our appetizers and so when we requested our salads, they gave us a little bit of attitude. Our calamari was terrible. It was soggy kind of like it have been sitting under a heat lamp. it was a horrible experience and we put on our reservation that we were celebrating an engagement and when we checked in, we told him we were celebrating engagement and they didn’t even mention anything.

We came in for my boyfriend's birthday. The food and service was excellent. He had the porterhouse and I had the lobster tail. The creamed spinach was too salty. Baked potato was good. They brought a mini creme brule for dessert.

I rarely give 5 stars, but this time it has been earned. Three of us dined at the Charcoal Room located inside the Santa Fe Hotel Casino in Las Vegas. I had dinner with two friends on 04/19/24. I had reservations and we were warmly greeted and quickly seated. Each of us had a glass of Riesling ($17 each - a bit pricy). My friend ordered the Porterhouse steak ($54). It's more like a roast. Huge! Easily enough for two and maybe even three people. Another friend ordered the small Petite 8 oz filet ($47). I ordered the prime NY strip steak ($56) and again, it is huge; two can easily enjoy this one steak. All were cooked to perfection; just as each of us had ordered. We also ordered sides of mushrooms, mashed potatoes and sauteed asparagus to share. The food was excellent. The waitstaff was also great. We had Matthew as our main waiter but others also provided service and they were great as well. Total bill for three: $259.02 with tax, but not including tip. We took home a lot of leftovers because it was just too much food for us. GREAT experience. Highly recommended. As a side note, I've dined here twice before. Each time it has been excellent. I also highly recommend the French Onion Soup.

Good for the price, but not great. If you want fine dining splurge just a tiny bit more for better steaks. Harlo and ciccos both are much better for the west side. The chicken here shined more than the filet mignon and that should never happen in my opinion. The calamari was very good but I'd still say that calamari is even better at cheaper steakhouses like herbs and rye. I enjoyed the meal at the end of the day but don't think I'll be a repeat customer. I realize this review sounds negative but I didn't have a bad night, just would rather put my money elsewhere.

Priced too high. For the quality of the food, everything should not be priced separately, such as $ for your sides, salads, and soups. The oysters Rockefeller were spinach overloaded, had to really look for the small oysters in the large shell. The filet cooked to perfection lacked seasoning and the cheesecake that we took home was dry just tossed in the box and had no sauce or fruit. The food was a definite disappointment. Our waiter was fun and the ambience is what was nice.

The food was very good. However the service was almost nonexistent. Waiter came once. Assistant server a few times but had to ask for things multiple times. 4x to get a glass of water. The thing is they were not busy and they had a lot of staff standing around. The other reason is they started to tear down the space and clean with several tables still be served.. for a steakhouse I believe that’s just poor. Kills the ambience of the space.

We were out to celebrate our anniversary and the service here was great! The hostess greeted us by name when we arrived, our waiter and server were both very attentive and friendly and they treated us to a nice desert for our special night. The food was phenomenal! Filet Mignon cooked to perfection and the most delicious lobster tail. I highly recommend them for any occasion.

Took long to get food, 1 steak overcooked then had to wait for it. Second drink order was lost and delivered late, 2 people ant our table were never asked for refills. It was our 45th wedding anniversary and they did have anything at the table to recognize it and gave us 1 super little dessert. Didn’t like being seated across from a bar with the hockey game on. For spending almost $500 for 4 adults we expected a bit more attention and atmosphere for our celebration.
