A lovely meal as usual, though the steak was a little tough, still enjoyable, still love coming here, especially where it’s situated on top of the cliffs with lovely views. Service was as good as ever

Excellent food, lovely staff and if you have kids, a safe and fun place they can play whilst you eat. This gives stressed out parents a chance to unwind.

The restaurant was only one third full. Surprising perhaps for a sunny Saturday. But that helped the service to be quick. It also kept the noise level down. There was space in the car park too. The food was of good standard

Always love it here, food was good but the liver was quite tough, however they sorted it out straight away. We booked for Sunday lunch and are back again for our lunch on Monday , we will be back again!!

Our party of 7 including a 3 year old were made welcomed fron the offset, our seating was spot on, service was 5*, food was fantastic and big portions. Could not fault our visit at all.

Sam and his staff are fantastic , friendly and very professional the food is great we love it there and would recommend it , our family love it too as they are very child friendly having a play area and crayons etc for little ones. we have enjoyed many a birthday there and will continue to look forward to our visits there

Great menu super hosts. The steak and ale pie is excellent as is the warm goats cheese salad. The chef has made some very consistent high quality food on all our visits.

Family friendly at its best. The waiting staff were all amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them. The play area for children is perfect and we won't hesitate to return.

Food was good was on a table for 2 was positioned so you had to sit at a funny angle couldn’t wait to leave as had back pain food was a little slow food overall was ok didn’t eat the veg as it was wet and soggy or hard nearly raw Another party of about 10 felt to need to shout and cheer and let us all know they was there but I guess they brought you more money in

Went for lunch on Sunday. Excellent as always. I had the 8 oz Sirloin Steak. Delicious. Came with fries which were perfectly cooked. My mother had Pasta Bolognaise which was delicious too. For desert I had their specialty desert - Splice the Mainbrace for One. The best desert ever invented

The soup of the day didn’t have much flavour. The chilli, cheese mushrooms had loads of butter and could be a bit smaller for a starter. The beef bolognese pasta was very tasty, and the garlic bread was nice. We just didn’t have room for dessert.

Myself, my mother and a friend totally enjoyed a Mother’s Day meal at Captain Digby on Mothering Sunday. We each had a different meal. The Italian Chicken was delicious as were the beef and turkey roasts had by my mum and her friend respectively. Deserts were equally delicious. The staff were wonderful and totally unflappable considering how busy it was. Service was exemplary. The whole experience was first class. Highly recommended.

As always, excellent food and excellent service. Even though they were really busy, staff were friendly, helpful, and food came quickly. They cater well for allergies too. We'll be back again!

Staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was served quickly and was fresh. The portion sizes were very good and the food was delicious! Only small thing was that we were put on a table next to the soft play area which was quite noisy and busy!

The food looked and tasted amazing, freshly cooked to perfection, the staff where friendly and helpful and the whole place just looked very clean and tidy, the views out to sea where amazing as well. Can't wait to come back
