They just couldn’t get the steaks right today. The manager did come over and did not charge for my steak. However, my son had a filet it was cooked well on the outside and rare on the inside. though he wouldn’t complain .Our waitress was great though their service all around was a bit slow, the place settings were off and our water glasses weren’t filled.

Dined with a party of nine for Mother’s Day. The food and overall experience was superb as usual. Our waitress, Josie, was both attentive and extremely nice. We will request her again when we return. It is our favorite steakhouse in the Boston area, and we live in Newton which is very convenient. Recommend highly!!!

The food was delicious. From the bread assortment to the steak, everything was delicious. Lobster in the bisque was a bit tough and chewy. But the lobster on the frittata was fresh and the frittata itself was so light and airy it could’ve floated away! Hash browns were yummy, as was the coffee. Servers were extremely attentive.

Everything was perfect from start to finish.The seafood tower sounds expensive but actually is a great value.Feeds 6!We had everything from apps to entree and desert.Very happy with the cost and whole experience

We arrived early and both Ana and Hanna were welcoming and sat us promptly at our table . Jose and Hanna did a fantastic job with great service from appetizers thru desert We had a wonderful evening and can not wait to return

The service was excellent! The custom menu to commemorate my daughter’s birthday was such a nice touch. The entrees were phenomenal! Everyone loved their food. calamari, shrimp cocktail, several filets some with lobster tails, some with crab meat, some sliced filets, lobster mac and cheese, chicken, and salad with chicken. The cheesecake was delicious as well.

We were celebrating my husband's birthday with friends. Everything was perfect - service was great, wine delicious, food outstanding, and it was the best place to celebrate his 75th. We had a lovely evening. I also want to compliment our server, she took wonderful care of us. I don't have her name, but we were table 132 on Sat night, 4/27/2024.

This is a fantastic destination any time of year! We have celebrated Birthday's, Anniversaries and everything in between. Every time we arrived, the staff greeted us with a smile and was able to attend to our every need. It is our go-to restaurant for a beautiful night out.

Thank you so much for a lovely luncheon with friends. We were celebrating one gal’s birthday. The special desserts are always a nice touch. I had asked for a quiet table and it certainly was perfect. Thank you so much. Our waiter was fabulous, funny, attentive and very pleasant, timing our luncheon just perfectly. Capital is our favorite place to celebrate birthdays.

It was great. Love the ambience and food is always good. My lamb was slightly overcooked but not much and still delicious! Mashed potatoes are fantastic.

We went for Easter brunch and it was excellent. All started with a delightfully enthusiastic valet who parked the car. Service was impeccable, attentive, and very courteous. Tables were comfortably located with a reasonable distance between them. The meals were all delicious. Desserts were amazing. We will come back again for special occasions!

Came for my birthday and everything was a 10. * Good table with nice birthday decor * 2 of the 3 people in our party ordered from the Restaurant Week menu; one did not and they chose not to order an appetizer. Our server decided to bring out a small salad so they had something to eat - truly appreciated gesture * Each of our steaks was totally on point - the kona bone-in strip (medium rare), the 8oz filet (medium) and the tenderloin with lobster tails * The wine list covers all of the bases. We got a bottle of Orin Swift 8 years in the desert, which paired very well with everything * Our server, Amy, was terrific. Knowledgeable, friendly, responsive but not intrusive. She is a credit to the restaurant Thanks for a great night!

Our experience @ Capital Grille was excellent. The service and the food was outstanding. The food portions have considerately got smaller. The dessert was delicious but gone in 2 bites and the salad was also was much smaller. Hopefully in the future the standards will be back to were they use to be.

We ate here during Dine Out Boston. The restaurant was crowded and busy. The meal was excellent, and if you’re looking for a large serving of excellent quality strip steak, this is the place. There was enough meat for 2 meals. My only gripe was the speed with which the courses were served. I would expect better (slower) pacing at a fine dining establishment. The service was attentive and efficient though.

Last night's visit wasn't what we normally expect at The Capital Grille in Chestnut Hill. We just assumed it had to do with the restaurant being so busy due to the end of Dine Out Boston. The service was OK, but not the exceptional service we normally get. Our waitress didn't seem to know anything about gluten free options, and offered to bring us the gluten free menu if we wanted to check anything. Our waitresses/waiters we've had in the past knew what the gluten free options were, or said they would check on any items that they weren't sure about. In addition, we both ordered the salmon -- my guest ordered it cooked the regular way, but I asked for mine to be cooked medium rare. When they brought the salmon out, the empty soup cups had not been cleared, so we had to juggle them while they plopped down the salmon on the table. They never asked who ordered the salmon medium rare. Our waitress assured us that they knew I got the medium rare portion, and was given that plate, when the salmon was served. When I started eating the salmon I realized they server never asked because I wasn't served medium rare salmon as requested. I didn't send it back as I didn't want to wait for a new portion to be prepared. Also, at that point with the restaurant being so busy I wasn't sure that it wouldn't come back the same way. So, instead of the usual 5-star rating, I took off one star for this particular visit. I fully expect it to back to the normal 5-star standards on my next visit.

I guess I have to roll with the decorum of the times. Sweat pants, shorts, hoodies,t-shirts, winter hats and baseball caps. Hostesses did not ask if we were celebrating anything. It was my birthday. I had to tell them. Our server and the bus staff was very good and still CG like. We have a CG closer to our house, but we choose the Chestnut Hill location because the Burlington location does not have the same charm. It also has lots for folks that dress like they are going to Golden Corral.

Our server Phuong provided an incredible experience. Food was delicious service was even better. Celebrating a birthday, Phuong truly made the evening special. We will be back!

I have gone to capital Grille for recent family birthdays, and the service has been impeccable. Tonight the service was terrible, and our server was defensive about it. For the money we paid for the meal, the service should’ve been better. I felt like I was always looking over my shoulder wondering where our food was. Unfortunately, I don’t think I can go back to the capital Grille.
