                Celebrated our 29th anniversary tonight! Blake, our waiter, was absolutely wonderful making our evening special! Dinner was great and more than enough to take home afterwards.

                I booked a reservation at Capital Grille with my almost adult children to celebrate Mother's Day. We've eaten here many times before, and it has always been a good experience. However, tonight was a bit off. We were seated in a back room next to a table with a crying newborn. Killed the vibe I was hoping for with a nice dinner. Our food was good. I had the sea bass and my children both got steaks. We had plenty of sides and about half of the kids' steaks left uneaten, so our server kindly offered to box up the leftovers for us. Upon departure, the valet was exceptionally slow and it took about 20 to 25 minutes to get our car. When we finally got home, we realized that the restaurant sent us home with two random crabcakes, which no one wanted, and some other unfortunate family must have ended up with our half eaten food. Overall, just a miss last night and not our best dining experience at Capital Grille.

                No dish was good. Meat was overcooked abd butcher/cut /meat quality has declined to POOR QUALITY. So sad,

                Had a beautiful brunch here. The start of arrival with provided valet was superb! The ambience was fantastic all-around & our server was well versed with the menu. However what a huge dissatisfaction with the quality of the food, not all bad. We were four in our group and 3 of us did not like the taste of our meal verse the price. When you pay their prices you likely expect more, it’s a bit pricey. Needless to say that besides the taste, everything else was great. 😀

                Some items of food were obviously pre-made for the Mother’s Day diners. The rectangular shaped hash browns were cooked prior and were barely warm when served. Instead of brightly colored asparagus, it had been steamed and was mushy and without flavor. My husband’s steak was good and so was the crab cake which were the only food items freshly prepared. Although the food was so-so and not worth the price, we had attentive service.

                Camila was kind enough to decorate the table to celebrate my son's graduation from university! Julia, our server, was kind, helpful, and patient. All the food and drinks were fresh and delicious. All waitstaff very helpful and eager to please. I highly recommend Capital Grille in Austin (4th street location) for any celebration. It is warm and family friendly and still feels classy and elegant. Absolutely excellent.

                The food is always amazing! The service tonight was off. We seemed more of a bother than welcome guests. I’ve never had to ask for a steak knife or soup spoon.

                Oury grandson order an Old Fashioned drink and they put some rare whiskey in the drink and charged $24. We should have been asked what kind of Bourbon we wanted and felt they really put it to us.
