The Afternoon Tea experience at Butchart Gardens is fabulous! Don't miss a chance to relax, enjoy a bottle of champagne and a lovely tea in a beautiful, but very chill atmosphere! Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience, quality service and tasty food, everyone enjoyed themselves from my mother celebrating her 90th birthday to her great granddaughters enjoying their child’s high tea.

Dining here is a special indulgence - this was our second time to the Gardens and each time we dined in the Dining Room, no way to be disappointed. Great service, food and of course views.

Simply amazing and made our day complete. The gardens along with our waiter and the restaurant were great. Thank you for everything and this was our second visit of many in the future during our travels to the area.

There was some confusion regarding the service. We waited at our table for about 15 to 20 minutes to be waited on by the staff. Other than that, the waitress that did wait on us finally, was attentive and efficient. We enjoyed our tea very much.

Service was mediocre at best as well as the food. We finished less than half of what was served. It was meat-heavy which is unusual for high tea.

Lovely setting in the Conservatory. Excellent service and very amenable to special requests. The sandwiches are incredibly tasty. And the ginger scones are fabulous. Endless pot of tea. Highly recommend! And don’t forget your 10% discount on yearly pass holders.

I was blown away by the quality of the gluten free high tea. All the items that I was offered looked nearly identical to my husband’s regular high tea, and the trifle was all around gluten free which is very inclusive. It was all delicious! I enjoyed myself so much, wandering the gardens and then relaxing with tea, I will definitely be back!

The food, the view, the quality and value for the price was superior. If you think tea at the Empress is great, you will be blown away by the experience here! Our server Elizabeth was so lovely and knowledgeable and she elevated an already incredible experience!

I have had the opportunity to try high tea at numerous tea houses across Victoria BC, and high tea at the Butchart Gardens is definitely my favourite. Consistently fresh, delicious, and locally sourced. The setting is fantastic and the staff are always super friendly and helpful. My favourite place to bring my out of town visitors for a truly memorable experience.

Though the gardens were stunning, I'm said to say for its price, what you are paying for is the surrounding gardens, as the culinary aspect of the experience was less impressive.

Scone with mascarpone & strawberry compote excellent. Sausage roll, salmon sandwich, & quiche also excellent. Lemon slice was great. Chocolate desserts too rich.

Had a great time for afternoon tea. With food allergies listed, they actually called me ahead to make sure that they could accommodate. Phoenix, the hostess, was great and pleasurable. Leah was the server and was awesome. She always anticipated what was needed a head of time. I’d definitely recommend the Butchart Gardens tea room.
