The Auld Hundred serves up traditional yet tasty British pub grub, washed down by a great selection of beers, wines and spirits.

At our central location on 100 Rose Street you can unwind in our classic pub interior, or enjoy a bite to eat in our expansive upstairs dining area inspired by Scotland itself.

Auld Hundred's menu is bursting with high quality burgers, steaks, pies, our famous fish & chips and a few of the classic Scottish comfort dishes. On the drinks list, we have a crackin' selection of cask ales as well as premium wine, beers, ciders and malt whisky.

Even though it was a very busy Bank holiday the staff were still very cheerful. The roast chicken followed by cheesecake was delicious. Thank you

It was the Sunday roast and we had made reservations but they were running low so the phoned to see if we could come earlier and we went right over. It was that extra touch of kindness that made it a wonderful experience

We arrived slightly early but we’re taken to our table right away. We were asked if we wanted a drink,we asked after the drinks were served if we could talk and settle before ordering our meal. Service was excellent when we did order our meal,and was asked if everything was ok,which it was . My wife and I had the steak pie which we have had before and was excellent and had carrots and broccoli potatoes and the meat was cooked to perfection well worth every penny

Lovely meal with friends. Food excellent and service was excellent. Friendly atmosphere and one of our party had his service dog with him who was made very welcome.

We had such a lovely time. Friendly and attentive staff (Katrina and Ewan) and the food was delicious came out in a timely manner. We don’t have a single thing that we can say that isn’t 5 star plus.

I visited here with my parents and we had a lovely meal. The food was really nice, especially the homemade cheesecake. We had the pleasure of speaking to a couple of employees at different points of the meal and they were all lovely and attentive. Great value for money and also very quick service, highly recommend.

Unfortunately we are very limited due to the size of our cellar on what we can stock but we do offer two lagers and coming up next on the cold Town seasonal is a stunning pilsner so hope you are able to get back for that. Have a great day, Team Hundred

Sunday night dinner enjoyed by all in our group. Booking in advance definitely a good idea as it was quite busy and some people were unable to get a table. Quite a narrow spiral staircase up to the dining area could be a challenge for some. Food itself was very tasty, clearly freshly cooked, piping hot and good size portions. Desserts not too expensive either. Would definitely return.

We've been in the venue before for drinks only so decided to get a meal there too. We had a look at the menu beforehand and had a good idea of what we wanted. To get to the restaurant you need to get up the spiral staircase. Hubby walks with a stick but managed it. Just as well we didn't meet anyone halfway though. Server greeted us immediately and we were shown to the only available table for 7pm dining. Advise booking online as we had. The specials of the day were explained but we stuck with Mac&cheese plus chicken Balmoral. Water for the table and drinks were brought quickly and we didn't have too long to wait for the food. Lots of chatter and atmosphere was buzzing. See pic of our delicious meal, pleased with our choices but hubby did burn the roof of his mouth on the cheese sauce! Be careful, it's hot. Staff very friendly and helpful especially Brennan. Coffees to round off the meal, couldn't eat a pudding as we were stuffed. Bill came to less than £50 so happy with our visit all round.

Person who showed us to our table was very good. When we sat down was attended to within 5 minutes . Took our order for drinks. Then gave us the menus and told us about the specials. I had steak pie which was excellent. Veg was really nice just right. My wife had scampi which was also very good.both meals had plenty on the plates. The server like all staff 5 out of5.we will return again in future would recomend the auld hundred.

We booked in advance for the upstairs eating area. It was on Mother’s Day and our birthday, so was fairly busy. The staff were welcoming and friendly, we didn’t have to wait long for our food and drinks. 3 of us had the roast which was lovely and the 4th person had scampi and chips with a side of mac and cheese all was very tasty n we ended with 2 desserts which were just scrummie. Great value and great friendly atmosphere and we Will definitely be returning when we visit Edinburgh again.Xx😊

Booked a table last minute as we were looking for some good pub classic choices. Had never been upstairs to the restaurant, bigger than expected and really cosy. Staff were really attentive and on the ball with all drink orders, extra sauces etc all with a fully booked restaurant! Food was fantastic and definitely hit the spot. Recommend the steak and ale pie, meat fell apart and a really good amount of gravy. Will definitely be back!
