                                                                                                                                                                                                Haven’t visited Texas de Brazil in about 24 years (same location). I remember that it was outstanding then, and always wanted to go back. I took my 20 year old son who was home from college to have a special dinner together, as we both love eating meat, especially beef and lamb. I was really disappointed in how the quality of the meat has gone down. Most of the meat was tough and chewy; even the filet mignon was not very tender. For $55 per person we could have gone and enjoyed a great steak at an upscale restaurant and been much more satisfied. Even though this is all you can eat, I don’t see the value in paying $55 plus per person for the quality of meat that we were served. The first time I went there wasn’t a piece of meat left on my plate… this time we both had quite a bit of meat on our plate that was unappetizing and wasn’t worth the effort of trying to chew and swallow. I don’t plan on returning in the future, which is a shame, as I was really looking forward to experiencing this with my son who had never been, and I was really talking it up to him beforehand. I had also told my parents about Texas de Brazil recently and they visited another location and had the same disappointing experience with the quality of the meat that they were served. So, this seems to be the norm now with all Texas de Brazils and not just a one off, which can happen at any restaurant.

The salad bar had a great selection of food (I really enjoyed the cous cous, and the cinnamon pineapples). The meats were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The ONLY downside was the service. Our server opted to focus on other tables instead of us. We were there for nearly two hours and she stopped to check on us only two or three times. At the hour mark I stopped her as she was walking past to ask if we could get some dessert. 30 minutes later we got our desserts and the check. $200 and nearly 2 hours later, we were well fed but didn’t feel welcome at the restaurant.

We had to wait for the Coke for 20 minutes and we kept asking for the meat and or the service was really bad.

Yelling, banging things on tables, and causing havoc should not be allowed.

However, they have a parking problem. I waited in line for valet parking. There were 15 cars in front of me, and the line was not moving. After about 20 minutes, I got out of line and found parking on the street several blocks away.k

                                                                                                                                                                                                The food was wonderful, but soon after they began bringing around the meat, they stopped coming to our table and we didn’t eat as much as we wanted. They were not refilling our bread, sides, or drinks at all (for our group of 11– they went fast!), and we had to ask our waiter to attend to us. It seemed like they neglected our group because we were teenagers, and the experience was definitely a let down for our prom night and not worth the money we paid.
