We were sat in what looked like the main dining room - a space that was half in the building and half enclosed by glass. The quality of the food was wonderful. The service was fantastic - servers were kind, personable, and attentive. The ambiance, however, was terrible, frankly. The dining space was so loud that it made for standard or pleasant conversation impossible. Tables were so crowded together that servers and other diners bumped into chairs when parties were sat at both tables. Overall, when a place like this sets the (high) prices that they do, ambiance is part of what you’re paying for; the ambiance here was a let down and ultimately made the cost of the food severely overpriced.

This was a hotspot for many NYU graduates and their families today but the food and atmosphere did not disappoint. Make sure you have reservations. If you’re lucky to get Molly as your server, you’ll have an exceptional dining experience. The New York cheesecake is heavenly.

It was a great experience! However, I didn’t know it was a graduation date as my girlfriend and I booked this reservation two weeks in advance. The staff handled the busy day so well and made sure we were seated promptly. Big shoutout to Noah (our server) who took care of us. Will definitely be coming back when in NYC!!

Service with Sophia was outstanding. Food was good, not great, especially for the price. It was extremely loud, due to obnoxious Columbia graduates and their families.

Had our first meal with a newborn in the outside courtyard with our parents who were in town. It was really pleasant. Great food, ambiance, and service.

It’s a very cool spot, but the Mother’s Day menu was a rip-off. First of all, we ordered Bellinis, and then at the end of the meal we were told Proseccos are included in our meal. We never would’ve spent the money on Bellinis if we knew the Proseccos were already included in the prefix menu. It didn’t say that anywhere, and our waitress didn’t tell us until almost the end of our meal. The food was just okay, nothing special, and definitely not worth the hundreds of dollars we spent.

Food was terrible and tasteless. Salmon salad starter had barely a mouthful of salmon. Crab Benedict was slopped on the plate and had that prepared the day before look and taste with eggs over cooked. Set price was ridiculous. Really disappointed.

This was our first time visiting Tavern on the Green and, as it was for Mother's Day brunch I was unsure what to expect on a very busy day. We learned as we arrived that it was a prix fixe menu, and waited only a very short time before being seated. From that moment onward, every expectation we may have had for the visit was far surpassed. Our server was delightful and attentive, made my wife feel extra-special on her day. Our 12 year-old daughter was engaged with in just the right manner, and every item we selected from the prix fixe (appetizer, entre and dessert) was absolutely delicious. I chose to add to the included gratuity when we settled due to the outstanding service we received. The server and service manager both confirmed with me, in a gracious manner, that I intended to do so, fully aware that the gratuity was included. Upon leaving, we were able to pose for a photo of the event. Perhaps the best mother's Day brunch I have ever attended at a restaurant!

Place was great for a busy mothers day weekend. Do have to say one of the staff when we were leaving was very curt with us as we were trying to reconnect our party. But overall a great experience that we will likely have again.

Went for a brunch on Saturday, weather was perfect so sat outside. We had the eggs Benedict with lobster and shared the breakfast scrambled eggs pizza. We always try and visit for brunch if we are on holiday.

We had lunch with good service and food. However, I despise restaurants with bench seating where you are sitting very close to other parties of people you aren’t dining with and don’t know.

We dined outside and had Savina (sp) as our server. It was our granddaughter's 12th birthday trip with the grandparents. All the staff acknowledged her for her birthday, and they brought out our dessert with a candle and handwritten in chocolate, Happy Birthday. The whole meal was simply equisite, and the atmosphere was great.

We celebrated a birthday and sat outside in May. It was beautiful with the flowers blooming on the trees, colorful decor, spacious seating distance and the service/food was spectacular! We will be coming back many more times and seasons.

Our Server Hector was great, attentive and friendly. Our first time here and he made it memorable. The building and grounds are beautiful. The food was delicious. This was our treat night out for dinner while in New York and it was worth it.

What a beautiful setting in Central Park. We celebrated my birthday and it was the best. We had a fabulous waitress who made the experience perfect. Now, the meal itself, we haven’t had such a delicious meal in a long time. From its taste to its presentation. We are from New Orleans where we can get delicious meals all the time but Tavern on the Green topped that. Thank you!!!

Tavern on the Green is a beautiful restaurant. I enjoy the locations atmosphere and it's easy access via train or taxi. The food is delicious! I highly recommend the dinning experience.

A birthday lunch while visiting the city. I had not been back to the Tavern for probably 20 years. It kindled nostalgia and overly impressed us with the newest renovations. The food and wine selections and live music on the patio is what every NYC establishment should strive for. I won’t wait another 20 years.

We had brunch and it was excellent. The restaurant was quiet enough so we could have a conversation. Food was excellent.

From start to finish my daughter LOVED her 15th birthday dinner. What an amazing place and experience. Food was DELICIOUS! I the short ribs and the truffle mac and cheese!!! Yummy!!
