Il a été reconstruit avec une précision spectaculaire. Excellent food! Excellent service. ! Noise level is high..:there was. Wedding party there.:::But awesome. And energetic. A classic! Wonderful time! And they read the comments about my birthday! So thank you! Our out of town guests were thrilled!!

We had an absolutely wonderful evening at the Tavern on the Green. Our server was charming and the food was excellent.

Had a great time and our server was beyond excellent. The food was good but I wouldn’t say it was mind blowing. Biggest criticism is the host staff treated my husband and I like we didn’t belong there. Person at door outside asked if we had a reservation. When I said yes, she opened the door part way and said ok, then you can go in. Between the front door and the host desk we were asked again by someone if we had a reservation- this is BEFORE we reached the host stand. Once at the host stand we were directed like children to wait at the sofas for our remaining guest. I understand waiting for the whole party to arrive but once my daughter arrived I met her at the host stand where the host said, oh you found your party, enjoy your dinner. I had to remind her we hadn’t been seated yet. After that it was a lovely evening but I’d say that first impression could have set the tone for a bad experience.

We had a great lunch at Tavern on the Green. The food was delicious, and good size portions. The ambience was perfect, and not too noisy at lunch time. Our service was wonderful.

Ok, so here's the thing, we LOVE Tavern on the Green and always make it a point to visit when we come to New York. This time, it was a disappointment to have a lunch menu rather than a brunch menu at 11am and they removed the avocado toast and shrimp and grits from the menu. Boo. We had to wave down someone to have ice water poured. We waited even longer for a waitress to arrive and once she did, she was extremely unwelcoming which is unusual for the service that we've had during past visits. Our food was a disappointment- salmon sandwiches that were "put in a blender" did not taste like salmon, chicken sandwich had chicken from the night before and very tough to cut- the Coca Cola was flat and when we asked for a new one, our waitress rolled her eyes, begrudgingly brought a new one but did not remove the old. I opted to talk to the manager because I knew she would be disappointed to hear about our experience. She was extremely apologetic and comped our meal. Unfortunately, the family sitting next to us had the same service. I hope that Anastasia (the waitress) was just having an off day and that she can serve customers to the same standards that we've been used to. We will be back (but please put the avocado toast, shrimp and grits and watermelon soup back on the menu)!!

Overall you can not find a better location in NYC. We love walking in the park and its a great place for a drink. The food is about average, since its so a large high volume place they make the food as fast as possible they serve and turn tables pretty quick. We definitely expected a better quality of food, will definitely go back for a drink or bar menu but not for dinner.
