Locally sourced and seasonally inspired, Tavern on Kruse changes menus every 12 weeks as we weave the season's perfectly-fresh and perfectly ripe bounty into our offerings. Our executive chef, Nathan Bates, spent four and half years at the Michelin 3-Star "Fifth Floor" in San Francisco. Our space is elegant, but our staff is friendly and jovial as we see "people" as the reason for dining. We look forward to meeting you.

We now have a private dining facility called Tavern Annex with screens, projectors it's own bar and seating for up to 40. http://www.tavernonkruse.com/tavern-annex The indoor capacity of Tavern is 118; 144 if we remove seating to create a dance floor. We have another 90 seats outdoors split between two patios which can be rented separately or in conjunction with indoor space, bringing our total event capacity to 200. I ordered the brisket vegetable hash and it came with a full slab of fat on top of it. I wondered who would actually serve such a thing. When we asked to have it removed the waitress apologized and asked if she could get me something else. I ordered the chicken club with sweet potato fries. She came back and said they don’t have any sweet potato fries so I told her to forget it. When she delivered the bill she said she took off the chicken club which I didn’t even end up ordering like she did me a favor.

Appetizer spinach crab dip, bland, only one piece of crab, 2 side salads bland, all lettuce only hardly any candied walnuts We split the entree of honey fried chicken. That now was delicious. Good cocktails, friendly service. Expensive however.

Tavern on Kruse delivered an awesome Mother's Day experience for my mom. The French Sauvignon Blanc by the glass is a bargain. Food was delicious and portions generous. The dungeness crab and artichoke dip is amazing, and the Cubano one of the best I've ever had. Also, the service was excellent. AJ is very warm and personable and made my mom smile every time he came to the table. Only downside is that it's a bit loud and boisterous when totally full, but we were still able to hear each other and had a totally enjoyable dinner together.

My husband and I booked an outdoor patio table for two at 5:15pm. The weather was perfect. The patio was crowded, but not too noisy. The food and service were fine, although service was quite slow. We didn't mind because it was such a pleasant evening. Cocktails were as good as usual, although not cold enough - bartender needs shake with ice a little longer. Food was tasty, although not perfect. My Clam Brodo Linguini was on the dry side and the pasta was not a linguine noodle, more like a thick fettucine. We left at 7:30 - doesn't usually take over two hours for a simple dinner for two, but as I said the weather was perfect. Really happy that outdoor dining is available again. They need to get rid of those forks though - always find them had to use.

food and drinks were good, service a little slow- we have been here many times, and will come back, probably for brunch next time
