Les Belges prennent leurs bières, leur chocolat, leur système politique loufoque et leurs gaufres très au sérieux. Au Taste of Belgium, c'est la gaufre qui est la plus sacrée de tous. Le restaurant a fait beaucoup de chemin depuis avoir cuit leur première gaufre à l'arrière d'un dépanneur. Aujourd'hui, le restaurant est fier de pouvoir vous présenter une cuisine excellente préparée tous les jours par les chefs doués. Certains plats ont même figuré sur la télévision nationale, mais le Taste of Belgium sera toujours endetté à la gaufre pour son rôle intégral aux origines du restaurant. Great appetizers. Excellent cocktails. ErFor entrees, we enjoyed steak frites, fish & frites, and the chicken sandwich- all very good. We had a drink spill at our table that we blotted up with dinner napkins, and no staff member helped or even cleared away the napkins!

Buddha bowl would have been delicious if it were not for the carrots that tasted so “earthy” they had no sweetness. They overpowered the bowl and ruined it. Seems avoidable if ingredients were taste tested by kitchen.

Over easy eggs weren’t done properly. The whites in the egg were undercooked and the bottom was crispy. should have a runny yolk but fully cooked whites. Goetta was burnt, crispy, and way over cooked. Fries were cold and soggy. The pop tarts were made incorrectly and labeled wrong. Seems they had an off day in the kitchen.

Easter Sunday. We were seated in the private dinning room and it was very nice. We were a group of 6. We had the best server I have ever had at a restraunt. She was fun and everything was ordered correctly. She was not gumpy about working a Holiday which is very nice. Everyone at our table ordered something different. Only one meal was disappointing and that was the bolgenaise. Lack of flavor for my son. The pretzels and beer cheese yummy. Meatballs were very good, Well deffinatly be back. P.S. the lemon martini excellent.

Wait staff was very nice, my kids both got and loved the Nutella and banana waffle, I tried the “not a burrito” breakfast crepe and it was delicious. This was our first visit here and we will be coming back when we’re in the area.

We had lunch - fries were soggy, food wasn’t the best. Disappointing as we were celebrating a special birthday. The guy who waited on us was great, however.

The food was as always, good. The service was exceptional! Staff and management checked on us repeatedly and were helpful. Excellent experience, tho a bit pricey… but worth it.

Taste of Belgium is pretty consistent in my experience. We were there at a strange time (too late for lunch and too early for dinner, 2:00 on a Sunday) so I expected everything to be fresh. Our server was very nice but slow to respond. We had two people order drinks and it was at least 15 minutes before they arrived--ordered when food order was placed and arrived after food. The food had all sat under the warmer for quite a long time without being brought to our table so nothing was hot. It was okay but not great. I'll give it another go but with my guard up.

Not very Belgian anymore. Few crepes, no galettes, no carbonnade. Still have Frites and waffles and to die for desserts. Lot of hamburgers on the menu. Changedthe "hand-helds" too, not in ways I found attractive. Service was very good.

Thanks Beetle, we appreciate your feedback on the menu changes. We had to reduce the size of our menu. We are back to our roots and serving different menus at different times of day. Unfortunately, we no longer offer our galettes at dinner. I am sorry you feel we have become "less Belgian". The change in the menu layout may have contributed to that percepotion. Our carbonnades are still on the menu as "carbonnades poutine". We actually just improved the recipe and it's the best we have ever served! You can ask for more traditional presentation without the cheese curds. We have also moved our traditional Belgian meatballs to a shareable so more people get to try them as it is an authentic dish (it's my Mom's recipe). Jean-François Founder.

The food was very good and the waitress was very nice but we ordered an appetizer, a salad and an entree and it was all brought to our table at once so hard to enjoy the experience. Need to work on timing but we will go back.

This Taste of Belgium just never seems to put it all together. Service was fine last night (Madison did great) but the fries with our mussels were burnt bits of what we think were potatoes. I know this sounds small, but it’s not that hard to make good fries, particularly when it’s kind of a signature dish of your restaurant and surely one of your signature dishes. The Banks location has it all over the Rookwood location.

ToB is not what it used to be…the place was virtually empty at 7:15pm on a Friday night. Despite the lack of customers, the server was in no hurry and didn’t even make it to our table until 15 minutes after we had been seated (though she walked right by at least twice without acknowledging we were there). The food was fine but the chicken had clearly been cooked well before we even put in our order and the frites were dry. Disappointing because this used to be one of our family’s favorite places.

We were disappointed with our table- We were right by the plating station and there was lots of work happening there. We were also not aware that the Taste of Belgium was a cashless business. It was posted on the door but we did not pay attention to it. I had cash with me but no credit cards. Luckily I was with friends who paid my bill.

The food was half and half. Part of my family really likes goetta. Apparently it was too dry. Also, I feel like they should make the waffles available with no sugar on top, but maybe they do and I just didn’t ask. The only saving grace for me was that the turkey sausages were on point. Delicious. And the cappuccinos were excellent.

Service was incredibly attentive & timely. Food & drinks not great. I get beers are their specialty; however wine (Cab) was terrible. Food - frites, burger, crepe for our party - was meh. Food used to be so good here, quality has definitely gone downhill. :(

We were seated at a table for 2 on the other side of check in station when you enter the restaurant. It was breezy and cold seated there because the door was opening constantly with people coming it to facility. I would not suggest that seat to anyone.

We went for brunch and it was super crowded so I recommend a reservation for sure!! The food was very good and nice size portions. The bozzy brunch drinks were great!

Met someone there for a breakfast meeting. Beautiful place with lots of tables! I was shocked at how easy it was to park because in the late afternoons and evenings, that area typically packed. Will keep in mind especially for morning gathering spot. Colleague I was meeting actually pointed out the tables in the back that are a little more private even so will keep in mind for future needs.
