A Taphouse serving globally inspired comfort food, local craft beers and premium BC wine on tap. We source local ingredients putting a unique twist on comfort food. At Tap & Barrel our beer & wine program is the most innovative draft menu program of its kind, comprised of a selection of premium BC products that features custom collaborations with local purveyors. Our Craft Beer program offers the largest selection of local & seasonal beers with 36 taps along with Casks, while our wine on tap system offers 20 premium BC wine many of which are exclusive.

Our restaurant is located at the Vancouver Trade & Convention Centre West in downtown Vancouver"s Coal Harbour district. Look for the Douglas Coupland Digital Orca sculpture and our vast patio with 300 waterfront patio seats and large red umbrellas. If you are interested in private dining we have a spectacular private waterfront room overlooking the inlet that seats up to 30. We look forward to serving you!

Amazing hospitality at Tap and Barrel to celebrate a work birthday! Staff was on point- even offered up loaner sunglasses when someone in our party forgot theirs!!

Staff were great and helped us get seated quickly. They also helped us get setup with a heater once one became available. Food came quickly which is appreciated when kids are in the mix :)

Nice patio right by the water. It’s busy right after work so the service wasn’t the best. Never received waters and sat with an empty drink for over 10 minutes which made me miss out on the happy hour pricing. FYI Happy hour goes to 530. Usually the servers come around and ask if we want one more drink before happy hour ends but our server never did. I come here often so I think this was just an off day. First nice day for the patio so everyone is trying to enjoy the sun.

We had the best server their name was, Curtis! 10/10 service, very friendly and just an amazing human being! The views were amazing to see from the Barrel Room while eating, it sometimes feels a bit loud depending on how many people are in the room but overall amazing food, and amazing vibes!

The food and drinks weren’t so bad. This place would be good to sit on the patio in a warm summer day but the interior here kind of feels like you’re underground. If it wasn’t our server’s first time serving then this job probably isn’t for them. Quite awkward and has trouble carrying her tray and ended up dumping a drink for the table next to us on our table, spilling all over us and my phone. Barely an apology then some shuddering to figure out what to do before a guest at my table told her what to do. In the end we were left with a sticky table from the fruity drink spilled on it’s settling the table was equally as awkward and confusing. We asked the server to divide one person’s meal and drinks amongst the rest of us but she couldn’t figure it out properly and some of us paid for more of the meal than we should have and frankly we weren’t given actual bills so it’s possible we all paid too much but in the end wanted to just get out of there. We probably won’t return.

I wouldn't go again. Maybe in the summer is better. Not alot of food left. Not alot of beer left. Basic service. At least the vibe is decent.

Our server was great, but the hostesses were not helpful: 1) The hostess wanted us to get up flights of stairs to wait for a second hostess to repeat our reservation details even though we had a baby stroller and no ramp within sight, not sure why we had to repeat the same details to 2 separate people 2) we had 5 people + 1 toddler but was seated at a 4 person table, 2 of us would have had to sit at the edge side by side as the table was against a wall, we also had a stroller, the hostess was not willing to review if other tables would be better fit without disruption to other patrons. There were 4 other tables available and the hostess didn’t want to ask the original hostess to reassess the situation. Thank goodness our server saw how crammed we were and offered to reseat us. We were disappointed at the lack of regards for the circumstance, it also inconvenienced all the other patrons. The hostess seemed to be squeezing people in the aisle for multiple tables despite there were no room in the aisle for additional people. Not sure how the servers were expected to move past them with food and drinks. But the server was great, and did his best to make up for the hostess.

Our waiter was nice but slow. And the restaurant was out of so many things, couldn’t order brunch, no pizzas, no quesadillas, which we were only told as we tried to order. It was fine, but I won’t be running back anytime soon.

Always a great place for food/drinks. Awesome service and delicious food. It’s definitely getting more pricey but worth it as a treat. I miss the FnB burger with the poutine!

Not sure what happened but we had a reservation for 4:40 pm and when we ask to move to another table they told us ok until 6:30. At 20 to 6 pm they told us people were coming in for 6 pm! Had to rush to get order finished and paid! Not impressed with this! We could have stayed at original table if we had known someone else was taking that table at 6 pm!

Chicken: uncooked, blood was literally still pumping through the wings. Service: the worst. Passive aggressive actions and comments on top of slow service. Ambiance: Lighted like a slaughterhouse.

Excellent service! The waiter was very kind and knowledgable about all the items that were gluten free and I had no problem ordering a yummy meal. Dedicated fry fryer is also a huge bonus and treat for me!

Excellent care. Our table wasn’t ready in time, but the team did a great job managing that. Then our party of eight turned into a group of 11 and again, the team was amazing managing a large group of friends who were keen to connect. So well done! Thanks!

We both tried different items on the Dine Out menu, and everything was top notch. Would be amazing if these could be available on their regular menu going forward!

Scrambled eggs were runny and watery with no taste. I’ve had much better breakfast from here before so it was a bit disappointing! Service was good and we had a nice booth.

We were stuck in traffic and were called to say our reservation was going to expire soon. They held it for us for a few more minutes. Much appreciated!! Our server was so fun and fast. We had a table of six and had a blast. Good food, good drinks, great service.

Wasn’t the best experience we could have had. We had ordered an appetizer which didn’t end up coming out until our meals arrived. The service could have been a lot better. We saw our waiter twice times the whole experience. To take our orders and to bring us the bill. Everything else was other servers. Didn’t help that we could see the employee room and see our waiter go in and out of there.

Great food, excellent waitress! They did not make us wait, because in some places, even with reservation, they make customers wait. Well done 👍🏻

My wife made a reservation for my 50th birthday and was told we couldn't have a party of 8 in the main dining area, so we were relegated to a separate space that was more of an over flow room that didkt have the ambience we were expecting. There were then several little errors throughout the night. We ordered our first course from the Dine Out Vancouver menu and I ordered an extra app from the regular menu. That app never came. The server admitted he missed it but by then our entrees were coming. I ordered a ribeye medium rare and was told by the server that because it's a leaner steak I should have it medium. I'm not sure why I was advised against my preference as a ribeye is not known for being lean. I ordered a bottle of malbec and when I was tasting it, I told the waiter there were bits of cork in my glass. He apologized and then filled my glass rather than replace it so i still had bits of cork in my wine. The red wine we ordered was ice cold and when asked the waiter said its kept in the fridge to maintain proper temp. As a lover of red wines I couldn't understand that. Our food arrived and they didn't know whose was whose at our table including one steak that was delivered as being well done but no one at the table ordered a well done steak. It all seemed discombobulated. My friends entree arrived several minutes after everyone else's. Because we were in the extra room with the doors open we had to eat without him so it didn't get cold. There was no compensation offered until my wife suggested the waiter comp his glass of beer for the wait. Overall the food was good but not what we expected considering the price paid. The overall experience was such that we don't plan on going back. A $250 bill for my wife and I was not commensurate to the expereince. The waiter was pleasant and was trying his best but clearly needs some extra training. As a veteran of the service industry I still tipped 20% but we won't be returning.
