Valet is located down Lebanon St. north off of Wilshire in between Flower and Figueroa for a flat rate of $12.00. It is HIGHLY recommended to not park and leave your car after dinner. Valet will close when the last guest leaves and cars will be held in the parking structure until the next business day.
Métro ou Station
The Metro station is located 1 block south at 7th & Flower.<br />Takami lunch validation $5 for first 90-minutes then $3 for every 12 minutes. Validation will only work from 11am to 3pm <br />
Animation
After dining, visit Elevate Lounge for dancing and cocktails. Elevate is open to the public Friday & Saturday from 10PM to 3AM. Friday & Saturday cover is $20 per person. Having dinner in Takami does not guarantee entry into Elevate. For bottle service/ table reservations, please contact Taylor at reservations@elevatelounge.com. There is also complimentary taxi transportation to Staples Center & The Music Center when dining at Takami.

The food and dessert were great, the sushi was fresh and perfect- highly recommend the surf and turf sushi roll. I was pretty upset though at our wait time to have our order in taken. I had made a reservation for my family and I. When we arrived they told us that our table was not ready and it needed to be cleaned up before they could seat us. Understandably, it was a busy day. When they seated us, we were told that our waiter will be “right there soon”. It took about half an hour and almost 5 attempts for us to even get our drink order in. By the time we finally were waited on, I had our entire order, prepped and ready to give/ drinks included. While we waited, I had noticed that our table was not fully cleaned and the receipt book for the previous party that was seated at our table had not been taken. Overall, it was not a horrible experience, thankfully to the waiter who stepped up and took over our table to assist us and the incredible views of DTLA.

Not an attractive restaurant, no wow factor compared with other comparable restaurants in the area. Color scheme was brown and blah, poor ambiance and vibe. Some chic plants, flowers and pictures would have helped. The ambience was a little better as the night drew in with help of the city lights.

The sushi was great and it was a really fun place to celebrate my son's graduation from college. It's not inexpensive, but everything was delicious and the atmosphere was very fun and festive. The views are really pretty as well. We had a great night.

Our server was certainly out of it to say the least. Very forgetful (when it was not a busy time at all) and was rushing us to sign our bill though ensuring us we could stay as long as we wanted. The service did not match the price of the food. The food was okay. I’d give it another chance in the hopes of having a better experience as the view and overall ambiance was pretty nice.

The food was great, as always, and we had a wonderful attentive server. The weather did not cooperate but it was a great experience nevertheless. My friend always wants to come when he visits from Oregon. Unfortunately he brought the cloud cover with him.

Our waiter was amazing! The whole ambiance was great and the free entrance to Elevate was a huge plus. Only complaint would be the portions were so small for the price. Overall a great experience though.

Love everything about Takami. Valet parking is easy to find and affordable ($12). Food is delicious and RC at the bar is the best. He makes the best drinks and gives great food recommendations. The atmosphere vibrant and the city views are to die for.

We went on one of the few rainy days in Los Angeles so view was poor, and patio was closed. I'm sure on a clear warm evening it would be fantastic. Our server was on top of his job all night! Had great recommendations, knew the menu well, was always present without being on top of us- excellent work. The food runners didn't always know what they were brining, but they were charming in their lack of knowledge. Food was fantastic!! Presentation, mouth feel, freshness, all 10/10 In terms of noise, we could definitely hear the bar as the night got going. Price, well, two of us, NO booze with tip was just under $800

We went right before sunset and there were breathtaking city views both day and night. The view inside the restaurant was beautiful as well. The food is beyond fabulous, the DTLA roll being our favorite roll we ordered and the hotate and fatty salmon nigiri are must tries! I wish I remembered our server’s name, he was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. This was on my short list for places I wanted to go to while back in town for a friend’s wedding and it did not disappoint. All around win for the night and would definitely go back again!

A nice spot with somewhat view but food and drinks are extremely overpriced. Especially the $20 cocktails. Our waiter forgot about us for 40 minutes.

It's a good experience completely worth of the cost. Great atmosphere and service. Everything tastes really good. Recommend to order a sake to accompany the taste of the dishes.

This was my time visiting Takami. The sashimi and rolls were excellent, and our server was attentive without being intrusive. I will definitely make return visits.

Takami did not disappoint! I visit Japan often for family visits and know good sushi at this point. The sushi today was very fresh and spot on. Great service. I won’t bother looking for a different sushi place if I’m in DTLA again. Manager even gave me a free sample of new sake that they’re featuring.

Overall we had a good time. We were put in a corner table where the shades were open. No one else was over there. We asked our waiter to pull them down because we were cold. He said they were broken and walked away. We asked someone else and he was able to pull them down with no problem. We ended up leaving the table and going to another table inside. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu but the customer service could have been a little better.

John was a great server with excellent suggestions for just about everything. Really enjoyed our time and our sister had a great birthday.

The food is good for its price. Host was very rude! As soon as I walked in, his vibe was just no it! Not only did I notice it but my mom also. We asked to sit a different table to enjoy the view and it seemed to bother him. He gave us an unpleasant look. I asked why couldn’t we sit at the other tables that were open. He said “they are reserved” even though I reserved a table. My order was missed up. Waiters did an outstanding job but the host didn’t make my experience enjoyable.

Food and Ambience was incredible! Definitely worth every penny, and I’m planning on coming back soon. Our server Megan was also the best!

We have been going to this restaurant over 10 years, we loved it very much until they changed cooks. Sushi are not taste as good as before

I really enjoyed the taste. I have been to a few sushi places. This is totally my favorite. There was a certain wait and service was good! Loved the place and the ambiance.
