Reservations for brunch on Mother’s Day. We were seated within a few minutes after arrival. The ambiance was great. There was live music which was awesome and we were seated up front near the band. I will definitely return soon.

The food was OK, but not amazing. The service was fantastic, from the door to the server. The singer and band were amazing, but we’re a bit low so it was hard to hear.

Sweet Georgia’s NEVER disappoints! Our waitress Makayla was absolutely amazing! Her service was on point (and her singing performance was the icing on the cake). We met and talked with the owner. He was very friendly and extremely kind! The food was phenomenal, the drinks were delicious,and the live entertainment was well worth the $10.

I loved everything about this restaurant from the greeters, wait staff, band, food, and especially the dessert. (Banana Pudding) I will definitely go back when I come to town.

My family had an amazing experience! The food was tasty and hot (temperature), waiter suggested Ms. Cecily's moonshine for my drinking preference and it did not disappoint.

Fun time - took friends from out of state, so great Atlanta vibe - food was great and fun original drinks. Band was excellent. 2nd time for me - this time was much better than first time. Hostess was much nicer and very welcoming. First time had to wait for about 30 mins even though we had reservation - pretty much had to push hostess to seat us after seeing numerous empty tables.

It has changed a lot over the years. It used to be one of the hottest venues in Atlanta. They got rid of valet parking. They were behind 30 minutes with my reservation. I asked if I could sit at the bar to wait. I was told no. I stated I’m not drinking I just want to sit down. The young lady at the concierge desk said the bartender told her that nobody can sit at the bar even though I wasn’t drinking…she didn’t want to get yelled at. The music selection by the band was good…the singing…not so much. I love live music so it’s always a good time when I get to listen to it. I don’t eat soul food so I can’t attest to it. I ordered a salmon salad…the salmon was dry but edible.

We had a wonderful waiter. The food especially the fried chicken was really over cooked. It was like having left over chicken. Enjoyed the music. Was disappointed that a soul food restaurant served gumbo and collard greens but no crackers or cornbread. I would recommend the restaurant but not for the food.

Love the live band! There is a $10 per person charge so be prepared to spend that fee for the band. It’s worth it to me! The alcoholic beverages were not strong at all, boooooo! The food is just OK - ordered chicken and waffles. Chicken was really good but I couldn’t eat the waffle. It was undercooked and didn’t have any flavor, like next to plastic flavor. The salmon didn’t look seasoned enough for my liking and looked undercooked as well. The short rib and collard greens were really good. Side note, the close fairly early for a weekend but we didn’t feel too rushed to leave.

Wonderful food AND music venue after 7pm. It is a juke joint, great R&B, and the food is southern/soul delicious. I had the gumbo, shrimp and grits, and bread pudding. The drinks were very good! Food service very slow as they seemed understaffed. Really enjoyed the experience!

MUST do!!!! Food was so delicious. Recommend the catfish and grits. Big enough serving to share. Elevated southern dish. Bacon wrapped shrimp for appetizer and both the bread pudding and peach cobbler was tasty.

Had a blast.. Made our first visit to ATL amazing and very memorable . The live band “N da Groove” was outstanding. A Juke Joint to attend every visit. My selected Birthday spot was all that n than some. Thank you for an amazing experience. —-Quea Bruns

We went before the live music started so I cannot attest to the noise level. However, the food was great, I had the chicken and waffles and my husband had the pulled pork. We shared the peach cobbler a la mode for dessert. Food was great and our waiter Samuel was excellent. He was attentive and friendly.

We made our reservation for 7pm. Before being seated, the hostess told us about the $5 entertainment fee and the two hour seat limit. We were seated after the rundown. There were tables that were seated after us that ot served before us and keep in mind we have a two hour limit for seating. It was about 20 minutes later before the waitress came to our table and we had to wave down another waiter to get our hostess. She was taking our orders and one person had a question about a menu item and she was not sure and told us that it was her first time on the floor and was not sure what came with the item. So as the night went on, everyone's food came out except for mine. I ordered the catfish strips and mashed potatoes. All I received was the mashed potatoes while everyone else received all of there food. The waitress kept telling me she was checking on the catfish strips, but they never came out. By the time everyone finished their food, I still did not receive my catfish strips. Just getting the waitress's attention was hard. When she finally came over, I just told her to cancel the catfish strips. When it came to the checks, there was a mishap on one of the checks about the alcoholic drink and we needed a manager to come fix it. When the manager came over, she did not seem empathetic about our situation. She just told us that she fixed the problem and that was it. The waitress was very apologetic, but management should have had her shadow someone to get the hang of serving tables. It was not a great experience. Will not return here.

What an amazing time! My first time to try this restaurant. It will become a regular when we stay in Atlanta. The service was amazing, so friendly and attention to detail. The food was fabulous. The band was AMAZING! Sky was our waitress with the best personality. Aniska was our bartender who was absolutely superb! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a great night out.

Very chic, grown & sexy vibe. The food was delicious and Miss Celie’s Punch was potently Devine! The keyboard player provided great music. I’ll definitely come and when I come to ATl again!

Met some friends here to catch up! We all ordered the fried chicken with various side dishes. Mac n cheese was outstanding! So were the green beans! I loved my food and so did my friends. The musician was great and it wasn’t too loud to talk over. I felt very comforted and comfortable when I left.

Loved all the live music and drinks were bomb! Food is good but not seasoned well for southern style cooking but the service, drinks, live music, and amazing staff makes up for any short comings with the food;)

LOVED this place, will definitely go back. The chicken was super yum, sides were fab (I got fried Brussels sprouts and mac & cheese), the drinks tasty, our server was hilarious and fantastic, and the band was amazing. The folks griping about a cover charge--they tell you a million different ways to expect this--on their website, via text and email if you make a reservation, and the hostess tells you also as soon as you walk in. Maybe the folks who wrote those reviews aren't used to going to see live music, but a surcharge to you know, pay the talent, is a standard thing. If you don't want to pay the cover, go someplace that doesn't have live music. Anyway. Brilliant experience all the way around. And seriously, get the fried chicken. So good.

I would only go back for the drinks and the live band. Food is subpar and it took us about an hour to get it after placing an order. Our waitress came back after 45 minutes of placing the order to advise that they are out of short ribs. Which lead me to believe that whole time we were waiting our order was sitting there and didn’t get placed until I chose another menu option. I ordered salmon and I’ve had better, my boyfriend ordered the chicken w/collard greens and his food was really good. My brother ordered the salmon meal I had and he enjoyed it and my friend ordered the burger and he said it was pretty good. No one complained about the drinks , I felt like the ambiance could’ve been better with the lighting. It was very bright in there. Maybe it’s bc we went on a Tuesday. But I would return only for drinks and music.
