Sushi Ran is a longstanding Japanese restaurant located in Sausalito, California that specializes in sushi. The restaurant prepares menu items utilizing fresh fish delivered from Tokyo daily and features a casual, family friendly dining atmosphere.

I’ve eaten that sushi run a lot, and I used to enjoy the quality of the food, if not the ambience and noise level and service. But the food quality has gone way downhill. The warm mushroom salad was soggy and cold, and tasted weirdly bitter. All the mushrooms tasted of the same bitterness. Some of the sushi was OK. Well other pieces were not even what we ordered and were very poor quality. And then the salmon skin roll was filled with what seem to be sawdust. Not crispy chunks of Sims skin. The server seemed impatient, and offered to replace the salmon skin roll, but then charged us for that as well as the replacement..

Our favorite restaurant for many years now. We go probably 3-4 times a year, usually for a birthday or anniversary. Food is always incredible.

I had a 5pm Rez, sat on the back patio. It was quiet and peaceful. Staff was attentive and sushi was hands down best I’ve had (and I have eaten a lot of sushi!)

The best sushi around- definitely above average. Very fresh, all the dishes were excellent. Service is outstanding!!
