Rich and creamy textures made this meal extra lush. The service was superb in a modern yet intimate space. Prices are not cheap nor should they be for the quality of the food and experience. Everything was fresh, artful,intentional and delicious.

Sushi was ok, underwhelming for an omakase. Tried too hard to be “fancy” with some of the items (e.g., overly decorative and adding caviar, etc.). Service was good and it was nice and quiet, but pricey for the quality of sushi.

We had a delicious omakase dinner. The chef and waiter described each of the pieces, one by one. Service was great, the sushi was delicious. Each piece was interesting. I wish for the price that the experience would last longer, but I guess the cost is relatively low for the quality. Decor was serene. Thank you.

TriBeCa has long been a question mark as far as Gari Locations are concerned. Dinner at Gari TriBeCa - specifically at the upstairs Omakase bar - was outstanding and blew away every expectation. It was quintessential Sushi of Gari. Each sashimi served was impeccably conceived and flavorful. With not one use of soy. Pricey? Absolutely. The $180 omakase should include 2 more pieces and had to order a la Carter. The only bite that was average was the last one for which we were charged. But that said it was great! Service was outstanding - very enjoyable waiter and attentive.

Amazing sushi, as usual. We ordered the special pieces that you usually get if you order the omakase. The salmon with tomato, chopped tuna with crispy seaweed, the pickled chopped tuna, and the seared toro with sauce on it, the seared salmon belly etc. we also got the fried oyster and spicy scallop rolls. It’s always such a treat to eat here.

The Omakase experience at the sushi bar upstairs was amazing! The pieces were delicious,exotic and melted in our mouths. We loved being served one piece at a time and how the Sushi Chef explained what each serving was and where the fish/shrimp/scallops came from. We enjoyed savoring the flavors and ate each piece with our eyes closed. It was romantic and cozy since it was a small sushi bar that was shared with just three other couples. We loved that it was a relaxing and tranquil atmosphere as we didnt sit in the busy main dining room. It was my first time enjoying Omakase at the sushi bar. In the past we only dined downstairs and had the Omakase served four pieces at a time. We loved tasting each one at a time and will definitely be back very soon to repeat this same amazing experience!

Visited the Tribeca location which has a dining room on the first floor and both a dining room and sushi counter on the second floor. We visited the counter which was run by three well-experienced sushi experts from Japan. We went for the omakase (chefs tasting menu) and it was superb. The quality of the fish was excellent, as was the presentation. We ordered beyond the tasting menu as well, for instance they had three types of sea urchin (uni), two from Japan and one from the US... what a tasting experience. Our server, from Japan, was very knowledgable and asked the chefs for any clarifications in Japanese... always a very good sign. The sake menu was exceptional as well. We went all-in, so not a cheap experience - but worth every penny for us.
