Our menu features Rustic Italian Recipes, Thin Crust Pizzas & Fresh Pastas. Stoneground Italian is located downtown in a second-story loft overlooking the architecturally acclaimed Salt Lake City Public Library. Since opening in 2000, owner Bob McCarthy has been cooking up a dining experience that’s warm, welcoming and firmly planted in his Irish-Italian roots. He takes a simple approach to serving delicious food: always fresh and house-made.
The environment at Stoneground is cool and casual; some describe it as a rustic/urban vibe. You’ll feel comfortable dressed as you are. The window tables have mesmerizing views and are ideal for intimate dining occasions. The outdoor deck seats about 40-people and is the go-to spot for your fair weather celebrations. We had a wonderful birthday celebration in the patio area and even though there was a large party going we weren’t bothered by it. The service was wonderful and the food was enjoyed by all ! A lovely evening on a beautiful night and our party of 7 enjoyed every minute!

Food was great, service was awesome. We had a large group but it didn't slow down our service. Looking forward to going back again!

it was the second time we went. The food was good and the servers were nice but there were a couple of mistakes and it is pretty expensive

The food was excellent. I have always ordered pasta, but decided to order the steak and I was not disappointed. It was cooked to perfection and the potatoes were creamy and loved the light truffle flavor. And as always when we come here we have the polenta tots. These are the best deep fried treats ever! Wonderful dinner all around.

We love Stoneground. The food is always good and the service is great too! My son ordered the pork chop and LOVED it. I got the lasagna -- and you can never go wrong with that!!

We loved our first visit to Stoneground. We ate on the back patio which was so nice. The food was delicious. Best lasagna I’ve ever had. Everything tastes so fresh and not super heavy feeling after you eat.

Odd location, that didn’t look like what we were expecting from the outside, but once upstairs it was very nice. Our window seat was great. Our waitress was very helpful and the pasta bolognese was very good. The pasta had great texture and was cooked perfectly.
