Rare whiskeys meet Stella’s infamous #16 biscuits every Thursday with a Bourbon & Biscuits specialty menu. Every Thursday starting at 3pm, the Executive Chef and beverage director of Stella San Jac are coming together to present a tasting menu tailored to Texas: a lineup of exclusive bourbon and rare whiskey pours, accompanied by housemade biscuits and seasonal accouterments. Tastings include three 1oz pours from a weekly featured distiller or grouping of specialty bottles. *Please note that evening reservations begin at 5pm, and we accept walk-ins from 3-5 for Bourbon & Biscuits, our mid-day menu, and our weekday Happy Hour*

Food was great! We had the #16 biscuits, spicy shrimp pasta and pan seared chicken. Our server Amber was great! The only thing I would change is the fact that we had reservations and they sat us at a table right next to the hostess stand and across from the bar when there looked to be plenty of tables further back in the restaurant. I believe folks with reservations should get preference on better tables. But overall we had a good time. And they validate parking for valet!

Mya was super sweet and attentive. Food presentation and flavor was fabulous. My mother and I had the shrimp and grits. We could not help but ooh and ahh at the other plates as the waiters delivered plates to the other patrons. Everything looked so good from the deviled eggs, to the cinnamon rolls, to the lemon tart panckes.

The table was ready as soon as we arrived. Jasmine was a very attentive waitperson. Drinks were promptly served. The mothered day drink was not exactly the best. Mostly bland. Biscuits were delicious! Salmon Benedict was very good. I would love to return and try the burger!!!!!!

The biscuits should be free not $10. My chicken was skimpy. Wagyu dish also skimpy.

Stella's on San Jac was a fantastic place to celebrate a birthday! We had a table of 8 - they were all set up for us, excellent food, service (by Sophia) and they even brought a candle-lit piece of birthday for us to share. Oh and the biscuits are a MUST!

I met my niece and a friend who were in town for a conference for lunch. We made reservations because they had limited time (1 hr 15 min) and the online menu looked great. We were seated immediately and the restaurant was not busy yet. We told the waiter about our time limitations as soon as we were seated. The atmosphere is great and it’s a nice trendy restaurant. The lunch menu we were given was very limited and quite different from what we found online through Open Table. We quickly ordered an appetizer and drinks and then placed our food order. The appetizer came out very quickly and was great (the biscuits)! When the appetizer was delivered to us the waiter asked us again when the girls needed to leave, at that point we had 45 minutes. By the time we were down to 30 minutes the waiter kept nervously checking in with the kitchen. The restaurant was quite busy at this point. When we were down to 20 minutes the manager came by and apologized and said she’d discount the bill. When we were down to 15 minutes the waiter came and said our order was up next and asked if he could box it for us. The girls said they could not eat in their meeting. The food arrived with 10 minutes left. The girls quickly ate a few fries and half of their sandwiches. These were not difficult meals (grilled cheese, grilled turkey and avocado with fries). The manager comp’d the appetizer and took 20% off the rest of the bill. Honestly, the food was good but we left more than half of it on the table.

I have never walked out of a restaurant but Stella San Jac was a first. A friend and I were attending a show at a theater and chose this restaurant for its proximity. We arrived for dinner 2 hrs before having to leave to attend the show. I informed the waiter of this and was guaranteed there would be no problem. We ordered a starter of ceviche and a pasta dish and an entree salad for dinner. It took 35 minutes to receive the ceviche starter even after complaining about the wait time to the waiter. Forty minutes after the starter we were still waiting on the entrees. After talking to the manager, who was apologetic, it became apparent that we would not receive the entrees in enough time to make the show. I told the manager that we would be leaving and he did comp the ceviche. I have never had such a disappointing dining experience and what’s worse we left hungry. A restaurant attached to a hotel should be able to handle larger crowds and not use that as an excuse for an unfortunate and very unpleasant experience.

I was excited to try Stella San Jac as it came highly recommended from several friends but was sadly disappointed. The food and drinks were just okay and our service was not good. We were never asked if we would like another drink, had to ask for silverware, etc. Not a great experience especially when I was hosting people from out of town! Sorry Stella!

We had heard about Stella and decided to try it out. We were impressed with the ambience and the food. The restaurant was packed when we got there so the service staff was stretched thin but our server was great and understood what we were faced with in that moment. The MOD came by and was very cordial and courteous. All in all this is a must visit if you are in the area and looking for a spot to eat.

We went to Stella for brunch with our family and had a great experience. The biscuits are a MUST order - they are so yummy! The chicken and waffles were also a favorite as well as the Benedict plate. The atmosphere is fantastic and we really enjoyed our server as well.

We ordered the signature biscuits and they came to the table raw in the middle. My wife ordered pancakes and they were also undercooked and doughy. I had the chicken and waffles, and while the waffle was good the chicken was mediocre at best. Not somewhere you should go out of your way to try

There was a notable delay with service starting after we were seated. However, there were several apologies, and everything was excellent after that. The server was super attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our drinks and loved our food. I would highly recommend Stella San Jac. I look forward to returning.

We had Easter Brunch for our first time dining here. We had the 2 drink specials and the Cottontail was so yummy! We had biscuits, yogurt parfait, French Toast and Pancakes. Everything was delicious! The service was impeccable!! Looking forward to trying dinner next!

Came in for a quick breakfast while we were staying at the hotel. I got the eggs your way and my husband got the shrimp and grits. Everything tasted great and the food was freshly made. Please try to biscuits and deviled eggs if you go!

When in Austin I would not hesitate. Mary was our server and did a great job of explaining the menu. Affordable wine list and diverse menu. Food was well presented and very good!
