We are a fresh breath of class and style in the Sandhills of North Carolina. Located in Southern Pines, we offer an atmosphere of relaxed elegance and sophistication, where steak is our specialty. We have an extensive wine cellar featuring 3500 bottles, 20 of which we are pouring by the glass. Please join us between 5pm and 6pm to receive $3 off all entrees and steaks.

Our dining experience was outstanding. Server was attentive and professional; manager came by the table to see if all was well. The food selections were varied but not overwhelming.

They went out of their way to make my sister in law’s birthday celebration special. Gregg is a professional that takes pride in his work and manages the entire place so efficiently. We always enjoy our experience at Southern Prime

This is our second time eating here. The first time we sat in the bar, and had a delightful waitress and good food. This time we sat in the dining room, and the service was the worst we've had anywhere. It took over 75 minutes to get our food. Our waitress was so overwhelmed that she forgot bread, and a second beer for my husband. I had to go to the hostess stand to ask where our food was. When it finally came, no apology, just glazed over mashed potatoes, cardboard green bean, and a pretty good filet. My husband's shrimp marinara was very good. It's really too bad, but I don't think they have enough staff and they take too many reservations. We'll think twice before returning.

Really nice restaurant. The decor and atmosphere were top notch. Food was mostly excellent with a great variety of options. I had the filet. My 2 slight disappointments were; 1) the steak knife was about as sharp as my finger. It literally tore the steak apart vs cutting it nicely. What kind of high end steak house would think that’s ok? 2) I had the lobster sauce on my filet. It was very watery vs creamy. Not what I expected. Other than those minor issues, we had a great experience and would likely go back next time in the area.
