We go here often to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, etc. Always great service and the food is expertly prepared. Love the ambiance too!

Meh. That’s the best way to describe it. Our table was too small to enjoy a full dinning experience. Our sever was the bartender. We didn’t expect to eat at the bar area, we expected a proper dinner table. Meh.

A must try if you are in San Antonio. The place is so unique and beautiful. Food was great. We tried their famous fried chicken and it did not disappoint.

The food that (Southerleigh) was fantastic. Everything came out on time. The jalapeño cornbread is always great. The waffles and chicken was perfect. The service was five stars and up, and I always enjoyed the atmosphere in Southerleigh.

What an experience! We were away on a weekend in San Antonio and weren’t sure where to eat, took a chance on a fine food place and it DID NOT disappoint. Our server, Juan was super helpful, patient and provided excellent service. The food was so good. We got snapper throat and the antelope tartar for an appetizer, as well as a flight of beer. We were not sure what to expect but it was all so good. My husband got the oysters and said they were fantastic. I got the red fish, so perfect! We then split the strawberry and rhubarb dessert, which was great for the two of us. Cannot recommend this place enough. Make sure to hear about the history of the building, too.

Overall, food was good, not great. Service was good as well. We like to have a cocktail before appetizer and meal to relax a bit, but in this case the appetizer arrived just after the cocktails so had very little time to relax. Seemed all of the order was this way. Food came our way to fast and it was not overly crowded, so no real need to have rushed things to turn the table for the next party.

We were seated right away at our reservation time. The food was so delicious! Our calamari, snapper, and shrimp boil tasted so fresh. We really enjoyed our dinner, and will definitely be back.

We love Southerleigh! The location in the Pearl is perfect, their food is always delicious and the staff is so friendly too. They have hands down the BEST shrimp boil entree in town!

Table next to us kept throwing cornbread on the ground next to our table bird were flying in from all around throughout our dining experience we told our waiter but he did not tell them anything. Other than that food was great

Everything we ate was delicious - very good but not over the top outstanding. The fried chicken may have been oversold slightly, but the white meat was very moist. Loved the biscuits! The server was excellent!

We celebrated my husband’s birthday in San Antonio. The highlight of our trip was dinner at Southerleigh. We loved the architecture of the building . We were seated on time and were greeted by our waiter. We enjoyed excellent cocktails and oysters. The oysters are outstanding. Very fresh and tasty. Our waiter made some recommendations to us on menu choices. The medallion of deer and the crusted red fish were exceptional. Another highlight to the menu were the sweet potatoes. They are roasted, then cut in large cylinders and have a sugary burned taste which is incredible. They must use a torch to finish the preparation of them. We were never rushed through our meal, even though the restaurant was crowded. Our waiter surprised my husband with a complimentary birthday dessert. The dessert was outstanding too. It was a chocolate and banana cake. It was not over sweet and very light and moist. Southerleigh is one of the best restaurants we have had the pleasure of dining at. We will always have the memories of such a wonderful birthday celebration. Thank you Southerleigh and the incredible staff that works there for making birthday memories!

Wonderful mimosas a great deal on that food was excellent then he was excellent wonderful people watching. They never rushed us. I really appreciate it the server he was fantastic.

Good food, the the mac crab never disappoints and the shrimp boil had great taste and also was a good portion. The only “bad” thing was that the beet salad is no longer on the menu and it was my favorite

Great space -- indoors and outdoors. On nice days, sit outside and watch the activity. Not a great amount of choice, especially for vegan or gluten-free diners. Food was good and freshly made. Great cocktail options.

We sat outdoors and it was nice and casual. The food was excellent and our wait person was very attentive. Her recommendations were spot on. The only problem would be the wildlife (birds and flies). We would have preferred eating indoors but the temperature was a bit too cool.

Service was excellent. Loved the restaurant’s ambience, part of the old brewery I think, updated to be modern rustic. Seats were so comfortable! Food is okay. It was worth going for the beer and atmosphere. The cornbread was really good as well.

Enjoyed a delicious dinner. One of the best fried chicken dinners we’ve experienced, crispy crust and moist dark and light meat. The sweet potatoes were also a hit. Two dishes that are not to be missed.

We ate outside and the atmosphere was fantastic. Lots of great people and dog watching. They sell out of the snapper throats early so we couldn’t try them. We had the duck rolls which one person loved and the rest of us thought were ok. My husband had the fried chicken which was phenomenal. My friend and i had the scallops and mushroom risotto. The scallops were were cooked perfectly and were great. The mushrooms were perfect but the risotto was pretty tasteless. Unfortunately the waitress was having a bad day and was rude and not welcoming. 5 stars for ambience but overall 2 stars.

Excellent restaurant experience. We loved everything we ordered. The corn bread was excellent. My husband had the burger, I had the rigatoni and my daughter had risotto. The experience from start to finish was outstanding. A bonus was the attentive manager that stopped by to ask how our meal was. We will be back. Thank you for such delicious food.

This is one of my and my husband's favorite places to eat. He recently learned that the chicken and waffles are AWESOME!!( I always knew. 😏) We've had other dishes, and they're good too. Not much is topping the chicken and waffles though.
