Came here for the first time with my dad who was visiting out of town. He forgot his glasses and was using his camera to zoom in on the menu. The waiter came over with a pair of loaner reading glasses which was absolutely AMAZING! My dad was so grateful and then proceeded to order everything on the menu. Everything came out to perfection and was absolutely devoured. Ending the night with the ricotta donuts was **chefs kiss**

A huge shout out and many, many, thanks to the superb kitchen, servers, and management working at Sotto on Tuesday night (5/15)!! Thank you for helping make my daughter's graduation celebration one to remember, even after the ceremony went past our reservation time. Everything about Sotto was and IS splendid--our food/desserts and drinks were amazing, the service spectacular, and the restaurant ambiance beyond words. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

We were able to get Sotto reservations the day of by using Open Table’s notification of cancellations system, which was very helpful. Our server Jason was absolutely perfect, in that he was always attentive without being overbearing, informative and aware of what we what we’d need soon before actually needing it. The food was phenomenal as always and cheaper than most fine dining restaurants in Cincinnati. This is why Sotto is our favorite restaurant in the city. Highly recommend the pork loin, all the pastas, and budino dessert.

Amazing food and romantic atmosphere! Every single dish we ordered was fantastic. We ordered the goat cheese and honey bread, the black kale caesar salad, bombolotti all'amatriciana, cappellacci, breaded pork loin, patate, and the ricotta doughnuts. Wine and cocktails were great too! We can’t wait to come back!!

Cole was an amazing server. He was so nice and knowledgeable about the menu and gave recommendations. It was clear he really enjoys his job and really knows the restaurant. The food was delicious and came out very quickly.

Amazing food. We had the grilled octopus, charcuterie board, and short rib pasta. The food is top notch and flavorful. Staff was incredible. Love going to Sotto

I’m just disappointed with my experience versus all the hype before I visited. My fish was very run of the mill, but fine. They forgot one of our sides, but then brought it when we told them. The steak was good. The drinks were weak but fine. I just expected better than “fine” with everything and with the pricing. The kicker though, the server knew it was my birthday… afterwards I was talking to a friend who asked me how the complimentary donut dessert was… I was never offered that. 😕 sigh… oh well. Bummer.

Me and my family absolutely loved Sotto. Everyone is over the top friendly, food is great and the atmosphere is breathtaking. If you are looking for the perfect date spot, this is it! The portions are a tiny bit on the lighter side. So i recommend getting a few appetizers beforehand. Make the reservation, you won’t regret it!

Sotto is one of my go to Cincinnati restaurants but last night they really went above and beyond. We were on an adventure date in Cincinnati to see the aurora borealis. Grant and the restaurant gave us a cheese tray to take for our sky viewing night and also a blanket. 10/10.

Everything was exceptional! Grant our server was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. The food was out of this world good, we got the braised beef raviolis, cacio e Pepe, goat cheese bread appetizer and the famous ricotta donuts! We had two of the mocktails and a cocktail which were incredible also! Would definitely go back and highly recommend! One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to!

Molly was amazing! Very attentive and friendly. It has been a long time since I’ve been to sotto and it was my boyfriend’s first time and we can’t believe we didn’t go sooner. I had the short rib capellacci and it was so fresh and tasty. The ricotta donuts are a must for dessert as they were warm and delicious.

One of my favorite restaurants ever. Simple delicious food. Cooked well with balanced sauces. Atmosphere is perfect. Romantic yet casual. Sat in the bar! My fave! Overall a great birthday celebration.

From start to finish our dining experience was amazing. Arianna (spelling?) was an amazing waitress and took her time to explain the menu in depth and make personal recommendations. Every bite of food was impeccable and the ambiance was warm and inviting. We are already planning our next visit!

I've written many reviews of Sotto in the past; there is not much more to say. The menu has old favorites and very creative special dishes - all excellent. Service from Jason was top notch - accurate, timed perfectly, and personable. If you have to look for a slight minus - the restaurant can be a loud in the bar area and the romantic candlelight environment requires a flashlight for some folk in order to read the menu. A great place to dine for any reason - as the difficulty in getting a reservation illustrates.

I simply cannot rave enough about how much I love sotto. The staff is absolutely amazing and the food is consistently top notch. This visit they truly blew me away! After telling them that our party of 6 sorority sisters were celebrating graduation they together brought out their ricotta doughnuts powered in our chapter colors! Not to mention the most special part, they also donated to our chapter philanthropy Children Miracle Network Hospitals. Thank you Sotto for the amazing experience as always and the kindness you shared with not only us, but with the organization impacted.

First time dining at Sotto for most of our family. The food was outstanding and our server, Zach was attentive at the right times but gave us plenty of space. We'll be going back.

Always a treat to find a table here. The bar is great too. Our camarera McKenzie was superb. Knowledgeable, attentive, friendly & helpful with suggestions. Will return when in Cinci.

This “celler” restaurant has the extreme opportunity of offering a “grotto” experience, as we’ve long reminisced from Ibiza and Greese. The menu is small, but well chosen. The servers, including our Molly, were extremely professional and well acquainted with the menu. But the loud, rock music left us with reading ears! It seemed to appeal to the hip crowd, we being among the more mature patrons. But the menu pricing encourages a discriminating palette. So it seems plausible to step it up with appropriate audio!
