Sopra, un bistro américain, ouvert au printemps 2008, sert une délicieuse cuisine italo-américaine, avec une influence mondiale, dans un environnement dynamique où vous vous sentirez comme à la maison. Situé sur la rue principale, au cœur du centre-ville, Sopra Bistro allie l'atmosphère décontractée du lac Geneva avec celle de Lincoln Park à Chicago. We had the goat cheese appetizer, scallops, and swordfish. Everything was cooked perfectly. Servers Ava and Michael are a great team.

Host was beyond rude. By a mistake I made two reservations they never called to question. They hide my friend and I upstairs which was bare and boring. We asked to move back downstairs they gave us a hard time. Saying those people had reservations. I had my reservation for 3 weeks. The waitress was nice but completely rushed us. The only good thing was the food. Delicious. Kudos to the chef. Your staff sucks.

Upon entering the establishment, one would expect to be greeted with the promise of a delightful dining experience, especially given the restaurant's reputation and the allure of its well-crafted interior. The front of the restaurant presented a warm and inviting atmosphere, with well set tables that seemed to await guests with the promise of a memorable meal. However, our initial impression was quickly tarnished by the host's decision to seat us at a less desirable table. Despite the availability of prime spots near the front of the restaurant, we were ushered to a table at the back, adjacent to a service entryway used by the waitstaff. This location was not only less aesthetically pleasing but also subject to a constant flurry of activity. The frequent comings and goings of the staff, coupled with the fact that the table itself was uneven and shifted with every passing footstep, significantly detracted from the ambiance one would anticipate from such an establishment. At best, it is perplexing why the host chose to seat us in the back, despite the fact that we had a reservation and there were at least two empty tables at the front of the restaurant. Worse yet, when asked to be reseated reseated, the host initially told us the empty tables in the front were being held for those with reservations and directed me to sit at the bar. After informing the host that we did have reservations for a table and we would be leaving if the only option was to sit at the bar, the host seated us at one of the empty tables in the front of the restaurant. The host's initial seating decision and subsequent poor handing of the situation not only impacted our experience but also reflected poorly on the restaurant's seating policy. The waitstaff service, while polite, did not compensate for the host's choices.

The food was excellent. Very creative menu with great variety for all of our various palates. Our server was great. She was entertaining to work with. She was also very knowledgeable about the menu despite having just recently started working there. Clearly the restaurant cares about the diners experience and ensures their staff is well trained.

The food and wine were excellent. The seats for two people are too close together. The seating for more than two is better and more private.

We went to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary. Our reservations were at 7p, we arrived at 6:50p and was seated immediately. Service from Scott was well paced and very good. Pinot Grigio was excellent. Ducketts were delish. Roasted beet salad had a little too much bleu cheese. Fillet medallions were excellent. We love Sopra. They gave us a nice table by a window on the second level.

The service was attentive and friendly and didn’t feel rushed despite being a packed house. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the pasta was loaded with shrimp - great portion sizes. The rocket salad was tasty although a bit salty. A very nice dining experience.
