Smith’s Bar & Grill is nestled in Paddington, London, it is the first place you see when you walk under the bypass behind Paddington Station.

Known for its high ceilings and almost full-length windows, the natural light in Smith’s is just as nourishing and wholesome as the comfortable furnishings and exquisite selection of food and drink that we serve.

The venue is split into the areas:
• Main Restaurant
• Main Bar & Lounge Area
• Outdoor Terrace Canal-side

Smith’s is an ideal venue for weddings, on-location filming, major launch events, and multi-stage music and entertainment events.
The whole venue can comfortably accommodate up to 200 people for a sit-down dinner and up to 400 standing. Its proximity to Paddington Station (50 yards from the Hammersmith & City Underground entrance) makes it quick to get to for those coming from out of town.

We had the roast to share in two, and although the meat was delicious, the meal was lukewarm. We had to ask for the vegetables and the gravy to be heated up… My mom had the same dish but not the sharing and apparently her was hot. We also noticed that her portion was bigger than ours. It’s a very loud restaurant, a few big groups celebrating parties, so be aware of that. Overall not my type of place, as I prefer to have a nice and hot meal with no loud parties going on around me.

The Sunday Roasts are delicious. Roast serve a tantalising array of roasts. Personally, I hate potatoes, but like theirs. Their Yorkshire puddings are a delightful mix of a golen crunchy brown outside and a succulent bottom. The belly of pork and lamb shank were extremely tender and very flavourful.

Great Atmosphere & service. It's a shame my partner and i were sat amongst a couple with a young child who made a request for the music to be turned down, i was under the impression the bottomless dinner and drinks were going to be loud and lively. This was just very unfortunate.

The food, service and atmosphere were 5 stars - the problem was the noise level. For people wanting to dine and have a quiet conversation - the DJ and music in the bar was not good. Recommend to wait until later in the even to start the loud music for that crowd.

I was seated promptly and they took my order. The food was very good-I had the seafood risotto…. the rice was perfectly cooked, the calamari slightly overcooked but still a good dish. Then I stared at an empty table for over 10 minutes while couples seated near me got servers checking on them. I finally flagged someone down, got coffee. And then stared at a dirty table until flagged a server down and got the check. Final verdict…. good food, nice decor, canned music very loud, and inattentive service.

Really slow service - we opted for the bottomless dinner but in practice it really isn’t bottomless at all - you can order 2 dishes at a time, the portion sizes are tiny and then when you order more food it takes an age to come. They seemed to lose one order and we sat waiting for over 25 mins…..overall expensive for what it was and there are plenty of other restaurants in the area- I’d recommend going elsewhere.
