Il est impossible de parler de Printer's Alley sans mentionner le Rainbow Room, détenu et géré par l'une des véritables stars de Printer's Alley, David « Skull » Schulman. Juste avant l'ouverture, Skull avait été agressé par deux personnes et brutalement assassiné. Ses meurtriers avaient été capturés, mais la discothèque n'a jamais rouvert. Après une fermeture de presque deux décennies, le Rainbow Room a rouvert ses portes à son emplacement d'origine, dans l'historique Printer's Alley, sous le nom de Skull's Rainbow Room, en hommage au regretté David « Skull » Schulman. Dans le légendaire Skull's Rainbow Room, le menu d'origine est affiché au mur et le barman prépare d'une main experte une foule de cocktails post-Prohibition. Went for my wife’s 50th birthday, and it far surpassed expectations! The entire experience was best we had in Nashville by far! And we loved many stops there. We will be back every trip, thank you very much! Jessie was AMAZING to us

The food, jazz and ambiance were amazing. Best prime rib and cheesecake. Fabio was our waiter and treated us so well. Highly recommended this restaurant for a special occasion.

Table was ready upon our arrival. Host was very welcoming. Service was prompt, attentive and efficient. Our meal was served within 10 minutes of placing order event though the restaurant was full. The prime rib and the tuna tartare was excellent. We travel a lot and usually try to find a place that serves prime rib. This was top notch. Tender and flavorful. The drinks were exceptional. Bruno behind the bar is a pro as was Pricilla our server. The entertainment (Perry and Thea Danos) was perfect for a classy date night dinner. Very entertaining but not overbearing. You should ask for a table near the stage. It was more of a mature crowd which we prefer. You almost felt like you were in a cross between a speakeasy and an old school dinner club. We will go back for sure next time in Nashville.

The food was very tasty but the portion sizes were large and we ended up wasting a lot of our meal. Our server was attentive and helpful. The tables sat higher than normal which may eating a little awkward. Great atmosphere. A little pricey but worth the visit.

I’ve had better food at so many restaurants in Nashville, so I’ll assume people come here for the ambiance and it was perfect in that category. The piano player was exceptional and the drinks were well executed. The wait staff were phenomenal. The food wasn’t stellar. So I’d say this is a great spot for tourists, but to the locals reading this: just order drinks and enjoy the entertainment.

We enjoyed the experience and would return. Entrees were good - recommended pork chop very good. Lobster bisque was disappointing - served cold and no lobster. Tuna tartare had too much sauce. Absolutely enjoyed the live music!

This was our second time dining at Skull’s and it did not disappoint. The salads were fresh and delicious. I had the filet and my husband had the halibut special. Both were outstanding. Cocktails were terrific as well. Highly recommend!

Overall our experience was at best average. We felt very rushed for what was an expensive dining experience. The waiter did not seem like he was interested in being there., just interested in turning tables. I realize this place is “famous” but I think there are better alternatives for tourists in Nashville.

First time at Skull’s. Really great setting, great jazz band. Loved it. Lived in NYC for 26 years and compares favorably to all our jazz venues.

The food great and so was the service. I was expecting live music and the only music playing while we were there, before 7:30 was a talented pianist but he was impossible to sing with or even enjoy the songs because he did his own version of popular songs that made them barely recognizable. When he took a break, my daughter said that she felt bad saying it but was grateful that wasn’t playing anymore. The music really put a damper on an otherwise delightful meal.

Wonderful, iconic place to eat with a great history! Had the chefs special of the day and the halibut was probably the best I’ve ever eaten. The lobster bisque, in a word, spectacular! Great band and attentive service. Cocktails superb! Try the French 75!

Our server Flabio was the best we’ve ever had. He made our experience so personable & was very knowledgeable about the menu. He truly cares about the customer. Food was awesome. BIL had the prime rib & it was the best he’s ever had.

I live in Nashville. This is my FAVORITE restaurant in Nashville. Skull's exceeds my expectations each and every time I have been. This past Friday night, we celebrated my son's bachelor party with dinner and the 11pm show here. If you have never been to this restaurant, you are msissing out and if you do go... you are in for an amazing one of a kind experience. The food is always on point and as good, if not better then any other restaurant in Nashville. The entertainment is first class. Between the band/singing and the burlesque, this place brings the right ambience EVERY SINGLE TIME. If you have not been here, you must at least experience this top notch restaurant/venue once in your life. You will not be dissappointed. THANK YOU Skull's staff for taking care of me and my group. You were over the top in your service for us. I appreciate you very much and I'll be back!

Our party of 4 had 6pm reservations on a Tuesday. The food was absolutely incredible. 2 of us had the Prime Rib (my guest said it was the best he'd ever eaten.) My wife had a filet with a Cajun sauce and shrimp on top (she said the sauce was a nice accent with great taste that did not overcome the steak which "melted" in the mouth.) Another guest had the pork chops which he stated was "incredible." We shared asparagus, mashed potatoes, Mac & Cheese, mushrooms, and Brussel sprouts; all were cooked perfectly. The live entertainment was just a pianist at first, then a trio, then a singer joined around 8pm. By that time we had finished our dinner, and we were reminded of the 2 hour time limit for parties of 4; we were ready to leave at that point anyway. My guest told me that of all the dinner experiences in attending conferences for over 25 years, this was his best. I agree.

I had the $60 dollar filet and it literally came out on an empty white plate. No sauce, not even a garnish. Steak was just ok. It looked like it had been sous vided and then put on grill for a half minute. I am from NJ/NY so for that a la carte price I expect great flavor. Atmosphere, however, is fabulous.

Dinner was absolutely a must, 10/10 recommend! The show was fantastic and very entertaining. One thing to note is it does get very crowded and if you stay for dinner and plan to watch from your table, you can't see the show. Be prepared to get in the front and hopefully get a front floor table early so you can get the best view. But I highly recommend the experience. The show was amazing! But we just wish we could have seen the show from our table as we thought since we had a reservation. Other than just from a very small TV screen from the back of the restaurant. But overall amazing and definitely will be back just need to figure out how to get a front floor table!!!

Magnificent. If you want old-time ambiance fantastic food, and unbelievable jazz, head to Skull's. This hidden gem on Printer's Alley was the best find throughout my entire trip. It's a break from the Honky Tonks but with a vibe that is electric.

We’ve had a perfect time at Skulls both times we have visited Nashville. The atmosphere and mood are so unique and the music is fantastic. The food was excellent and the service and staff really took care of us and went out of the way to make us feel special on our honeymoon.

Restaurant decor is classic and intimate. Live jazz music played through out our dinner, loud enough to be heard but not impede dinner conversation. Waiter was superb. You could tell he loved his job. Wonderful descriptions of the the menu items making choices hard due to wanting multiple items. Food was also superb, portions large but I surprised myself by eating it all. Don't pass on the desserts as they were also very interesting and good.

I was super excited to experience this restaurant with live music. I booked it for the live music. Unfortunately the band took a break as soon as we were seated and returned as we were leaving. Our server was not very friendly at all. Prices a bit high. Overall I was not impressed unfortunately.
