    Nice meal, but they were so busy we waited over an hour for our lunch. Good waitstaff, lobster roll was delicious. Love their French fries.

    Beautiful location on the SF Bay. Food selection is good, and service has always been excellent most of the time I've been there. However, parking can be a bit challenging at times.

    There were no problems. The noise level was not ideal, but tolerable. We plan to return.

    Second visit here. It is an excellent place for a casual seafood lunch while enjoying a picturesque bay view.

    Fine seafood in a spectacular setting. The menu is excellent and the restaurant and bar offer a glamorous dining experience.

    We had 12 people at Skates for a double graduation and birthday celebration. Some guests were from out of town so I wanted to do something that showed off the beauty of the Bay Area. The food was terrific, every single dish. We also enjoyed some craft cocktails that were as creative as they were beautiful. Service was excellent and both graduates and the birthday guy got complementary desserts. I was the host and received numerous wonderful comments about my choice of restaurant. This was not our first visit to Skates and will not be our last.

    Beautiful place. Ambiance great, food very tasty, fun happy hour, although ends too soon. If no fog/clouds a perfect sunset view. Only complaint is that food is not delivered to the table hot. Bisque good, but only warm. Excellent BBQ shrimp and grits served only warm. Iffy scallops and shrimp dish because of temperature. Four stars, if hot five.

    The views from Skates are great. The food is good especially if you enjoy seafood. I do not eat fish so had the hamburger and fries which were very good.All the servers were excellent and the entire staff were friendly and helpful. A great place to go.
