Beeaauutiiiifuuulll location—building—venue—furnishings—plated food—shoppe!!! We all ordered something different and were all pleased with our selections. The flavor and seasoning of my Cod, potatoes & spinach entree was so delicious. Staff-person/hostess, Wendy, was very pleasant and helpful. Waitress was very professional and nice. Great experience!!! Will be back!!!

Although we live far away, we always return and are never disappointed. Our server Casey was particularly lovely, very attentive and friendly but always professional. Great menu and delicious dishes. We will be back!

We had a lovely lunch overlooking the river. Everything was delicious; I had shepherd's pie and my husband had the lobster club and loved it. Relaxed atmosphere but timed well and the servers always know what they are doing. Love Simon Pearce! Great for a family meal or a romantic night as well.

Great little restaurant for lunch. Overlooking the falls at an old mill. Quality food. Like most places around Woodstock, shortage of workers makes service slower than normal, but the ambiance makes up for it.

Have been here many times. It is amazing that the food, service and ambience are amazing every time. Our waitress was kind , pleasant and attentive. Our food and drinks above par and what can you say about the location. Cannot say enough wonderful things.

The food was good, as usual. The server was polite and very attentive. Thank you for asking about the noise level. As a person with HOH issues, noise level in restaurants is often a problem. Simon Pierce was not as bad as some, but still a bit noisy. Luckily we had a table out of the larger dining areas so it was tolerable.

Simon Pearce Restaurant appears to be under new management. The quality and quantity of food is “less” than it used to be I’m sorry to say. It feels like we’ve lost an old friend. Portions of food are small, quality of food is not as good and the menu has become more “mainstream.”

While we try to stop at Simon Pearce whenever we are in Vermont, it has been a family tradition for us to have our Mother's Day celebration there. We returned again this year and our dinning experience was excellent.. The food was very good. The setting is spectacular, particularly if you can eat on the "porch". The entire ambiance is wonderful. With good fortune we will return next year for this special day.

They did a great job of accommodating my allergy and dietary needs! Everything was delicious! I rank it highly amongst my best restaurant experiences over the past couple of years. Our family had a fantastic experience! We plan on returning!

We enjoyed another wonderful special occasion dinner at Simon Pearce last night. The hour and a half ride was well worth it. Viewing the river, rushing dam waters, the wooden bridge and the old factory building make the meal so enjoyable to look out on as we dine. The appetizers, main courses and desserts are superbly prepared and often very creative. The wait staff is always quite knowledgeable and attentive. We know when we make the reservation that we are in for a special treat.

We loved this place.. but last night all of our meals arrived cool. The server offer us to get new meals but we declined. The manager took off 2 of our meals which was appreciated. I put in the recommendation that I would refer a friend, because the ambience is great and it could just have been a off night.

Not back to pre-COVID levels, but still enjoyable. I and a friend had had the horseradish baked cod many times in previous visits, but its replacement on the menu was disappointing. There was only a faint taste of horseradish and the crispy, fine onions on top were gone. The portion served was about 1/3 - 1/2 the original portion. The two crab cakes served as an appetizer were each no larger than a quarter and at $22 were also disappointing. The ambiance and service remained excellent as always.

View was beautiful on a sunny day, our server was friendly and efficient. Food was delicious, Quiche of the day and shepherds pie were excellent and wine of the day crisp and dry, excellent. Thank you for a delightful time.

I don’t understand why our server was so disgruntled. I guess i expected that a fancy place would pride itself on good service. The cheese plate was a disgrace- a teaspoon of chutney, 4 tiny bits of cheese. It was super dry. The soup (cheddar) was much too lumpy & bland. Honestly, not impressed & don’t think it’s worth a 3 figure bill.

When you have a $70 steak on the menu, maybe you could have tablecloths. Aside from being in line with an aspirational top-shelf restaurant, it would cut down on the din of a place with hardwood floors, hardwood ceilings (and exposed pipes/electrical), hardwood tables, hardwood chairs, and brick + glass walls. The "charm of a converted mill" thing wears thin when your ears start ringing and your butt starts hurting. I guess it would be stupid for SP as an established/Teflon destination not to rapaciously overcharge its mainly once-a-year-on-a-weekend-trip clientele (including a charge for bread on the table) since, obviously, they're not hurting for patrons. Walking through the gift shop to get to the bathroom is among the other "let's make money" indignities you encounter. The food is good--but it will probably arrive lukewarm at your table. The cocktail list sounds good, though you might stick with traditional ones vs. their "mixologist" specials, one of which was clearly botched our most recent visit. As a local, there are far better and reasonably priced options in the "refined dining" category. Consider going to SP if someone else is paying, you got a gift card for Xmas, or you've hit the lottery.
