What a great restaurant. Food was amazing, perfect for lunch, and service was outstanding. It’s a hidden oasis in Costa Mesa. Felt like I was at a resort. Will be back again.

Found this place online by chance. Took my Mom for Mother's Day Brunch, and had such an amazing meal. I was very happy with the food, service and ambiance. Would definitely go back!

Silver Trumpet is a gem! We were celebrating our daughter's birthday and wanted it to be a truly "special occasion" dinner. Raquel and Jordan provided excellent service and went above and beyond to create a fun and tasty experience. Special thanks to both of them!

We very much enjoyed our meal. However, after our entrees came, we had to ask to find our server, Bryanna. She never came back to refill our ice tea or apple juice, nor did she ask if I'd like another glass of wine.

Rebecca our server was the best! 3 scallops for $49. Is a bit overpriced. Noice level difficult to have a conversation Food was delicious and service outstanding.

Really enjoyed ourselves food was amazing and a little different than the usual (dates, lamb pops, Branzino and hanger steak to name a few). Service was great truly a bit of a hidden gem.

Food, wines, and desserts (especially the affogato) are always good, but the best part of the experience was our waitress Liz (Elizabeth) who went above and beyond to provide excellent, thoughtful service!

The service and food is great. The restaurant is located at the Avenue of the Arts Hotel. It's not a typical hotel restaurant in terms of quality of food and caring service.

The food was top notch. Chef Hector was kind enough to speak with us for few minutes; and tease about his new menu. The special of the night a herb crusted halibut over whipped potatoes with creamed spinach deserves consideration for a spot on the menu. Satisfying but not heavy it was a great meal. I had the key lime panna cotta, coconut tuile, meringue, and a toasted coconut “sand”. The panna cotta had two different color and flavor intensities of key lime. 🍋‍🟩 A wonderful contrasting bite and eye appeal.

Service was a little slow. But the food was great as always. I always enjoy going there before the shows at the Segrestrom. We had the 3-Course Pre-Fixe menu. Wife at the shrimp risotto and I had the Bolognese. Both entree's were fantastic. Also S.T. creates cocktails that are themed to the show. Last night's was "Strange and Unusual" from Beetleguise. Very nice blend of berries and gin. Great evening

We chose this restaurant because it was close to the the theatre and provided some Gluten Free Options for 2 members of our party that are very sensitive to Gluten. I felt there there were reasonable options for everyone (fish, chicken, veggie, etc). I do feel that our server (Rebecca) was well informed about preparations that would not work for our GF friends….and that was really Impressive. She was thoughtful during all our interactions and took care to make sure that everyone received good food. I will say that I’d like the chef to consider having a steak option, some dish without a marinade that uses soy sauce with gluten, as a staple. It just seems like an easy adjustment to be made that would offer one more possibility for folks with food sensitivities. We had a great meal with super service and we will be back!

We arrived at the time of our reservation and was told they had "overbooked." The Manager moved quickly to seat us in the banquet room with another party. But then we were given no menus; it took 15 minutes to learn that the wine I had ordered was no longer available; service was slow and we became concerned about getting our food in time to make the concert we were attending. When plates finally arrived, my rack of lamb was medium well even though I had ordered medium rare. I would have sent it back except for the time concern. Waitress was clearly stressed and made us feel that we were an inconvenience. I am unlikely to use this restaurant again when attending a performance at Segerstrom.

We had a somewhat odd experience here...we booked a brunch reservation on a day where we were wedding dress shopping as a family, and we were the only three people in the restaurant for the entire time we were there. The menu didn't match what was online and had far less choices than I expected, so we were disappointed. It just made for a very awkward brunch when it was soooo quiet, not even any music, and the service was still very slow for only having one table. It's an expensive brunch for decent food, but nothing too special in my opinion. We got a salmon bowl, a turkey sandwich, and then a half sandwich with a cup of soup (lobster bisque). The salmon bowl was by far the best, followed by the soup, but I wouldn't return to Silver Trumpet for brunch. Maybe it's better for dinner or on a weekend?

The toast was cold. Butter hard. The two don't mesh too well! The noise level was awful! Could hardly hear each other talking. Would have gone outside but it was too cold!

Had a wonderful Sunday brunch before going to the theatre. Can’t beat the location as we parked, easy walk to the restaurant and easy walk to the theatre. Service and food were terrific. Highly recommend it.

James is your finest asset! We LOVE him!! It’s tough getting a restaurant literally full of people out before showtime. Service is tough and things get lost. But James always breaks through to make sure everything’s in order. Thank you Silver Trumpet!

The proximity near Segerstrom’s Center for the Arts is the only reason I frequent the restaurant . The noise level is uncomfortably loud. The menu doesn’t offer enough variety . Finally, the cost is comparible to Maestro’s and other restaurants that offer a better fine dining experience.

We came here prior to going to the theater. I was not aware this was a restaurant in a hotel and likely would not have booked if I knew. That would have been a huge mistake. The Silver Trumpet was fantastic. The restaurant was beautiful. The cocktails were very unique. The food was unbelievable. At the table we ordered the seafood special, lamb and branzino. Each meal was very very good. The service was AMAZING. Rebecca served us and had a perfect balance of being hospitable and friendly but not staying too long. She kept us on track to ensure we got to the theater on time and was great with food recommendations. I could not recommend this restaurant anymore.

It's my second time here. Excellent food and service! I had the lobster bisque and steak, everything was delicious and well prepared. The staff was attentive and our server made suggestions we used. Free parking is very convenient. Will be back next time I am in Costa Mesa.

It was an amazing experience, everything was gorgeous from the entrance to the patio, the food ambiance, cocktails and dessert was the best I ever had. Excellent service my server was very attentive and personable. She did such a great job. Well done Silver Trumpet!

Excellent dinner, staff very professional, tasty food, I ordered half chicken it was so delicious and cooked to perfection. Brussels sprouts highly recommend also. Best cocktail Fig Old Fashioned.

We always go to the Silver Trumpet for dinner before a Segerstom performance. It is convenient located with a short walk to the theater. They offer validated parking which is a plus. We thoroughly enjoyed the Price Fix 3 course dinner offerings for Restaurant Week. We ordered the mushroom ravioli, short ribs and sorbet. They were all so delicious and the price was so affordable for such a wonderful meal. Our server was attentive l, professional and friendly. She knew the menu well and gave EHS good suggestions.
