I must admit that I wasn't a huge fan of most of the tapas our party shared. The empanadas and tortilla Española were lackluster and not very warm. The steak was amazing though, and the cocktails were great. However, it was our server, Robert, that made it a wonderful experience. We had a large group, probably around 20, and Robert did an amazing job of communicating with everyone, was very knowledgeable, and very helpful. Amazing service.

Had booked a reservation 2 weeks in advance on OT for three of us to celebrate daughter's graduation from OSU. We were seated at a high top table 5' across from the bar, not the dining room, so right away it made it fell like less than a special occasion. The octopus was bland, the mussels diablo tasted like the tomato sauce came from a jar, and the snapper ceviche was smothered in a creamy mayonnaise based sauce with just a hint of lime juice which was also bland (not my favorite way of preparing ceviche). The scallops Parmesan was the best tapa we ordered, but it's hard to go wrong swimming in butter and cheese. The risotto was on the dry side- a bit over cooked, lacking in creaminess. Overall a disappointment for a special night.

My friends and I were delighted by the quality of the food. The service was good, and as a special treat, our table was given a complimentary round of Champagne, now that's what I call customer service! My only criticism is the restaurant's noise level makes conversation a bit difficult. I would, nonetheless, recommend SideBar, especially for vegetarians seeking a quality casual- to fine-dining experience with numerous options.

Excellent spot to go before attending a show at the Ohio Theatre. The waiter asked us if we were going to the theatre after dinner and he did a good job of getting us our check quickly, which was greatly appreciated. The handcrafted cocktails were pricey for the size of glass, but very delicious. The food was very good ( we had the calamari, pizza and house salad). I would recommend this place to anyone!

Loved all of the tapas we had. Risotto is amazing. Wonderful eggplant dish. Our waiter was very very helpful - I don't remember her name ( so sorry )but she is from Venezuela. Our friend Jeff loved the potato dish. The flan and the chocolate dessert were both excellent. This was our first time, but we are making plans to go back soon!

Our group of six had a great experience. We ordered six small plates and a pizza. It was all wonderful and we didn't need to order anything else. The craft cocktails are a real treat. We'll be back!

My wife and I really enjoyed our evening at Sidebar. We arrived early in the evening and sat at the bar intentionally. The bartenders are knowledgeable and fun to talk with. The food was good, drinks delicious and the service outstanding. They make you feel welcomed and are very attentive. Sidebar has become one of our favorites in Columbus!

It's quite good. Service was good. Delicious food and drinks. There was only one disadvantage for me - tables. Tables look very old. I assume that it's a type of a style, but I had feeling like I was at the cheap sport bar in a dress

We were in town visiting our son at OSU and wanted to take the family out for a nice dinner. We found SideCar after searching for tapas. We couldn't have been more pleased. Our waiter was great and the food was amazing.

There was no one there to greet us when we entered the door and went to the hostess stand. Had to wait a few minutes before someone noticed us. However, everything else made up for it. We had several of the tapas. I wouldn't recommend the ceviche - pieces of fish were too big! - but all the other options we tried were really good. The chocolate "cake" was also good - especially if you like mousse.

First time at SideBar and will not be the last. Fun place and good food. Chilean style tapas were quite good and that's what you should go here for. The flatbread/pizza we had was average and not up to the level of the tapas. Our server Pam was excellent and very informative. We recommend.

Fantastic food, cocktails and service! The owners and staff always have a warm welcome for guests and the food is really delicious--especially the lamb shank with risotto. The bar tenders know how to mix great cocktails--my fave is the Four Step with lots of muddled berries. The bar tenders are very knowledgeable and friendly as well. Along with the main menu, be sure to come for Tapas Tuesdays in the long and lively bar, where you're treated to an array of tasty tapas served gratis as you sip your spirit or wine of choice. The tapas are a surprise as the selection is not announced beforehand, which makes it even more fun. You get around five to six tapas, which is enough for a lite meal. Great place! Just go! You will be glad you did!

First visit to sidebar and we'll be back! Service was outstanding, our waitress took the time to go over the whole menu with us. Food and drink were incredible, I can't say enough about it. The only complaint is the tables are tight. We made it work, and wouldn't hesitate to go back!

I have never had better vegetarian fine-dining cuisine in any restaurant in Columbus. The choices were numerous, the flavor profile of the dishes unique and fresh, the seasoning spot on and not overdone at all, showing great restraint and respect for the food itself. The Chef even made the saffron risotto using a vegetable stock to make it vegetarian for us. Everything was done to perfection, including the service. Our waitress, Andrea, was a charming guide to the menu, ensuring we had an enjoyable experience. My only criticism is that the noise level was uncomfortably loud.

We've eaten at SideBar a number of times and found the staff cheerful, knowledgeable, helpful, and engaging. One standout point among many was that our waitress was knowledgeable about wine. She told us the staff was actually trained about their wines. This was a pleasant surprise. Aside from the fact that they are in a historic building, the décor was completely different on each of their two floors; contemporary on the first floor and eclectic on the second floor. Oh, the food....excellent!

The service was great. We gave our server the heads up we had to leave by 7:30 to walk over to the theater (allowed 1.5 hours). We enjoyed all the small plates including the spicy mussels, garlic shrimp, chili rellanos, and empanadas. Stockyard Pony cocktail was also a table favorite. great place to go if you have a variety of diets. Plenty of lenten dishes.

Nice welcome. Comfortable atmosphere. A bit loud if it's crowded. Their star items are tapas -- meat, seafood and vegie. Risotto and Chile relleno are particularly tasty. We each had one tapa and then split a pizza, and it was way too much food. Service very good. Will definitely go back.

I went to Sidebar for a birthday and had an amazing experience. The food was fantastic, cocktails were delicious, and our waitress was amazing. We all shared several tapas plates and everything we got was great, but the scallops were the table favorite. Our waitress helped us pick out a bottle of wine giving us knowledgeable suggestions and letting us taste a few. I will definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend Sidebar to anyone.

Came here for a girl's night on a Saturday. It was so loud we could hardly hear each other, but the service and drinks were excellent. My food was great, but a friend ordered the mussels and couldn't eat them because they were gritty. Not the best restaurant in the city, but I wouldn't discourage anyone from going. We all had a great time despite the noise level.

i went with my husband for dinner before we went to another event. we had a reservation but we were 15 minutes late so i expected to have to wait, i was happily surprised they held our table for us! once we were seated the server brought us some water but then we had to wait at least another 10 minutes or more before the server took our drink order. we were a little dismayed because of that but once our order was taken the service for the rest of the evening was very efficient. The atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant was very nice....modern and chic. perfect for a date or a group of friends. I could literally write a novel about the food which was excellent!! we ordered three small plates to share and then we shared an entrée. plenty of food and everything was delicious!! the price was good too. we will definitely be back!

We met another couple here before a jazz Jazz Arts Group concert at the Southern theater . It's a nice block and a half walk to the Southern and the menu features excellent Latin style Tappas and Full dinner entrées. We have been here many times before and enjoyed the creativity and skill in meal selection and execution. For example, I had scallops in a casserole with Parmesan cheese - and a Latin flavor kick. Another in our group had a great grouper ceviche, and the drinks were well done. We find it a great and fun experience, but I didn't give them the five due to the noise factor in the dining area. It has an interesting and eclectic mix of patrons, and everybody seem to be having a great time and very friendly. It's a regular stop in our pre-concert routine now. These people know how to run a restaurant .

It is a place for very good tapas. We usually eat in the bar on the weekends, but with a bigger party it was perfect on a week night. Service was good too.

7:15 on a Friday night finds the restaurant very busy with at least three very large parties of 10 or more. Realizing they were very busy, we were not concerned with the wait to get our orders taken, nor was it an issue getting our food. Obviously, the kitchen was busy and they were doing their best. It's worth the wait. The food is always good and our server was extremely entertaining and fun.

The four of us made a meal of 6 different tapas along with the fresh mozzarella salad, and concluded the meal with the brie pizza. The variety was great and the food was absolutely delicious! We couldn't decide which item we liked best; the scallops, the mushrooms, the plantains, or the muscles. Per our request the server brought out the tapas three at a time so that the meal wasn't overwhelming. The cocktails were different and for the most part, excellent. It was a great evening out celebrating our son's 23rd birthday!

Very good food, friendly attentive service, cool space and ambiance. We are an older couple who enjoy dining out at least twice per week. We keep returning because the food is the best in town and the value great. We can and occasionally do dine in restaurants which cost multiple times the Side Bar tab, but the experience rarely matches this place.

This was a first time visit to this restaurant. All of the staff was cordial and helpful. Cocktails and food choices for the happy hour were excellent! Looking forward to my next visit.

Great experience from start to finish. Exceptional cocktails at the bar, great small plate starters like empanadas and chili relleno and delicious entrees, pan seared salmon and roasted duck. It had been a while since our last visit to Sidebar but after this dinner I'm really not sure why. We should certainly come back more often.

The Tapia's are great hosts. The food is outstanding, and unique, elegantly presented and surpassed only by their house cocktails. I would highly recommend this establishment specially for anyone seeking a unique experience.

Some friends and I routinely go there after a concert. The restaurant serves great food and pretty late. We have a favorite waiter who we request. He gives great service and is a fun personality. A favorite
