Shearns Seafood and Prime Steaks is pleased to now be available on Open-Table. As a perennial AAA Four Diamond award winning restaurant, Galveston's finest restaurant is unsurpassed both in cuisine and service with a spectacular view of the Moody Gardens Pyramids and back bay. Local Galvestonians flock to this Island oasis to enjoy the signature dishes of Executive Chef including prime beef, exquisite veal and lamb and the freshest gulf seafood available. The Shearn's Seafood and Prime Steaks experience is easily on par with Houston's finest restaurants at a much better value.

Dressy Casual attire required. No Shorts, Rompers, Tee Shirts or Tank Tops, Collard Shirts Required. Jeans are allowed on the dining room floor-no cuts offs or ripped jeans.

A truly great meal with excellent service. Lovely view of Galveston while enjoying fine dining. We had the escargot and steak tartare as appetizers. Both were wonderful. I had the filet steak and my wife enjoyed the lobster as our main courses. The service was impressive. A true treat.

Beautiful setting, impeccable service (thank you Sergio), and excellent food. I started with the lobster bisque (heavenly), and then had the surf & turf (hanger steak and lobster) along with creamed potatoes and fresh seasonal vegetables. I finished my meal with the dessert trio..cream brûlée was awesome. My husband had the summer special with scallops, a salad, grilled chops with creamed potatoes and veggies, and a light and tasty serving of trace leches. Can’t wait to return!

The kindness and service was fantastic. Everyone was patient and took care of our party of 14 in efficient style. We have made this a regular event and will do it again next year.

There was a convention going on and unfortunately our table for two was right next to a group of business men. We would have enjoyed ourselves more if we were at one of the empty tables at the other end of the room. Otherwise everything was good. Excellent service!

Our waiter Michael was fantastic! The food was delicious. The blackened snapper special was incredible as was the steak tartar amuse!

Everything was great, although we see people coming in with jeans and shorts n tank tops so wasn't sure what was happening with dress code

Fantastic food and atmosphere. Service was impeccable. Food a cut above. Truly one of the best experiences. The tres leches will spoil you for eating it anywhere else.

I made a reservation on what was a slow night, partially because they stay open until 10PM, when most close at 9PM. I arrived at 9:05, and the maitre'd asked, "Mr Kxxxxx?" I was impressed. It turns out I was the only table in the restaurant. While I began to feel guilty, the staff assured me that they were glad I was there. Turned out to be surf & turf special night, which was delicious, at a very reasonable price. Very impressed and definitely expect to dine there again in the future.

Absolutely one of the best steaks & meals that I have ever eaten! The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because the restaurant is extremely hard to find if you aren't staying at Moody Gardens. There is very limited signage and your GPS will get you lost!

Reservation was at sunset. Views in the day are spectacular. The lighting inside was too bright and felt like a UFO over my head the whole night which made it a little uncomfortable. Not an extensive wine list. We had a bone in ribeye and prime rib. The steak does not compare to a Perry's or Killens type steakhouse. The waiter had 10-15 min spots of nowhere to be found? The ambiance inside is very poor. Having said that maybe in a year or two I will give it another try with another dish.

Fantastic meal. Oysters were awesome, onion soup so good, entrees were perfect. Very accommodating, attentive service. Great recommendations (soufflé was awesome)and the sunset was beautiful for tops. What a perfect evening!!

Food and service were exceptional! This was our two teenage daughter’s first fine dining experience. This was a Valentines Day/Birthday celebration. Our waiter, Oscar, made this experience amazing. He was one of the best servers I’ve ever encountered and knew the menu and specials perfectly. Everybody said this was one of the best nights they’ve ever had and they’re still talking about it and that’s saying something. 5 Star!

I don’t visit Shearns often, but every time I do the food is divine and the service is impeccable! I recommend it to anyone who enjoys fine dining and also wants to feel like they are the only customers in the restaurant. If you love to dress for dinner and remember what a maitre de is then Shearns is the perfect place for you!

Amazing city views, that is the best I can say. My wife and I had a 7:30 reservation. We arrived and were asked to wait in the lobby as our table was not ready. OK. 10 mins later we were seated and asked for a second time the name on our reservation. OK, even high end restaurants have their off day. We were provided water and bread when we sat down along with menus and then nothing for 45 minutes. Not even an ask if we wanted more water. Went to ask the receptionist at the front of the restaurant what was going on, and he was not there. At that point I went back to the table and we got up and left. The restaurant was a little more half full and two large groups were seated after us, ordered drinks and food and one group actually had their meal served. Food looked and smelled great but the service was terrible. I have no idea how this happens at a plus $100 a plate establishment. On the way out of the hotel we did mention what happened to the front desk and they apologized. After we left and found another restaurant we got a call asking why we left and apologizing for the poor service with the reason being they were very busy. If you get served I suspect the food is great, nothing like being totally ignored (and yes we were dressed appropriately, and were hoping to have a wonderful dinner to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary).

Shearn's is my go to restaurant for special occasions, ambiance and beautiful view. The food and drinks are consistently fabulous. I recently celebrated my birthday there and it was an awesome experience. Thank you Shearn's for always treating us with exceptional service whether with family or friends.

We were greeted and seated by Lady with a warm welcoming smile. Joshua was attentive and all others that interacted with us were delightful. The tenderloin melted in my mouth and my husband’s short ribs delicious. This is a yearly event for us. Shearn’s and their wonderful staff never disappoint.

Excellent meal, service superb, atmosphere was elegant yet relaxing at the same time. First time here but not our last. We ordered from the Restaurant Week menu which offered an amazing value! We’re still talking about the experience the next day. Thank you staff
