Celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary . Host was not at post so we waited to check in. She returned and table will be available shortly. I noticed when a couple she known she was going to take them back ,then she seen the look I was about to give then she decided to take us back. But our waiter was great and food was excellent!!! Wife was happy and that's all that mattered!

Great food and service! The shrimp and crab melt with the substitution of salad for fries was no problem and super tasty. My friend had the chicken sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed it! Our server was very attentive without being a bother. Scott’s on the River never disappoints!

Went for a view of the river and there is a massive wall on the patio blocking that. Overall pretty bummed due to that but the food was pretty good and our waiter was great.

We arrived a little early for our reservation and gave our name but asked if we could sit in the bar for a bit - were told this was no problem. We had our service dog with us and confirmed with the waitress that he was a service dog. She said she’d seat us somewhere appropriate. Not sure what that meant, we proceeded to the bar area and ordered drinks. At exactly the time of our reservation, the hostess came over and said she needed to seat us right then and we couldn’t stay in the bar. We were escorted to an outdoor table. The heaters were on and it was comfortable and a little bit quieter so no complaints but I had to wonder if this was due to having a service dog and the hostess being unaware of the allowances for such dogs. Our waiter Chris was fantastic, acknowledged my food allergies and helped with my menu selection. At some point, the heaters were turned off and it got chilly. We were finished so we moved back to the bar area. There were no servers so we went to the bar to order. Overall a fine experience. Last call is at 9:30 pm and this is the only place around to get food or drinks. Since we were staying at the Westin, we’d hoped to have a comfortable place to have conversation and drinks with our family.

The food & service were fine, but I was not aware that you cannot see the river...they are working on the levees and Scott's has built a big wall completely blocking the view - which was the main reason we selected this restaurant to eat in. Also, there was forced valet parking (no self-parking option) which added a significant fee to our meal.

Food was ok. Asked for medium rare steak but came out medium well. Didn’t send it back since the filet mignon was a small piece but was disappointed. Be aware that there is no self parking and there is an $8 charge for valet parking… valet service is busy so expect having to wait for your car.

It was date night for us. They sat us in the back of the restaurant in a drafty area near all the very large parties, then proceeded to ignore us for 15 minutes before somebody came and asked if they would like something to drink, the drinks were horrible. The food was average, All in all, it was not a great experience we won’t be back

It’s been a year since my husband and I have been to Scott’s. Let me give you my feedback: Wine selection - Great options and a bit over priced compared to other restaurants. Appetizer- Always love the oyster selection. Perfect every time. Food - The lobster tails seemed to be smaller than the 10 ounces we normally would receive. And, they are over seasoned. They give you a lot of mashed potatoes (to much for me). I did however, love the asparagus. Dessert- Cheesecake and Crème brûlée you can’t go wrong. Excellent every time. Our Server - Unfortunately I did forget her name, but she provided great customer service. Ambience - Scott’s has definitely made changes and in my opinion not for the better. While the decor is fine, the MUSIC made me feel like I was Chili’s, TGIF’s, Applebees etc…. So disappointing. When I go to dinner and spend $300 for 2 ppl. I do not want to be listening to 80’s/90’s music. I would appreciate something a bit more easy listening.

Always an excellent choice for both lunch and dinner dining. Beautiful atmosphere, excellent friendly and efficient service. My lunch go to is mostly always the wedge salad with a side of prawns. Valet parking is still required due to the Army Corps of Engineers project on the river but it’s only $8 and very friendly, quick and efficient.

We meet friends there, we are from the Bay Area, they are from the Placervillle area. This was our yearly lunch, been doing it at Scott's for the past 5 years. Menu is always good, changes a little bit each time but in general very good choices. Enough variety that some times we exchange tastes from each others entrees. Wine is good, mixed drinks are good, and the variety of beers is good as well. It wasn't busy on Monday when we ate there and the noise if any was minimal. We all had a good time.

Perfect evening for our 48th wedding anniversary. Ate outside where noise level was appropriately quieter and romantic. Our entrees of Macadamia encrusted Halibut and the Sole were prepared perfectly. Our server was charming and intentive. Great restaurant for special occasions.

I had the mac nut crusted halibut and my husband had the salmon. Both were very good. The calamari is excellent. The bartender made me a chocolate espresso martini that was yummy. I do wish I had the Boston Clam chowder and a salad. I would have been less full. As it was I could not finish the sides to the halibut and my husband could not eat the rice. A lot of food.

We have dined here multiple times over the years. The food and service are usually average but it’s decent for something outside of downtown. My most recent visit was just super slow service. I’m not sure why but it was exhaustingly slow. I won’t be back. They have declined.

One of the best buffet brunch experiences ever! All food was temperature hot and absolutely delicious. The cold seafood entrees were top notch h and included large peel and eat prawns, crab legs and even oysters on the half shell. Carving station offered ham and prime rib. Desserts were all mouth watering delicious. Service was excellent. I will do this every year if it continues. Just fantastic. It was $85 per person but so worth it.

For 85.00/person, I expect better selection and preparation of food. Food was mediocre at best. Oysters were not fresh. Food in warmers, did not look appealing. Our waitress was wonderful!

Went to Easter Brunch, cost $ 85.00 per person, Called ahead, they guaranteed they would have prime rib. very disappointed because there was no more Prime Rib ready to be served. This buffet was a ripoff. I will never go to a buffet at Scott's again. Should have went to the Saint Francis in Sf and received a view and only paid $ 69.00'for buffet;

Good time at Scott’s for Easter. The view is still obstructed due to construction but good ambiance and lively setting. Buffet was good too, but it was crowed for Easter which is understood.

My husband and I made reservations for Scott's Seafood on the River's Easter Brunch celebration on March 31st. We had a noon reservation and got seated at about 12:30 pm. Due to work with the levy behind the hotel/restaurant, the only option was valet parking which was backed up when we arrived. We did drop off our car in time for our reservation. Scott's was busy! The buffet included a hot station, a cold station, and a desert station. There was also a carving station (prime rib and ham). The omelet station was the one thing that was missing, which was advertised on their Easter Brunch menu. The seafood was replenished frequently. My husband loved the crab and shrimp and got more than his fill of these two items. Many people were there for the oysters and Scott's seemed to have an endless supply. Some of the food looked like it had been sitting for a while or looked like it had been picked over. Scott's did a great job of refreshing those dishes and people seemed to be happy. The Easter Brunch did include all-you-can-drink coffee, soda, and mimosas. I had my fair share of mimosas! They were fresh and strong! Overall, the food was plentiful. The food was fresh. Outside of the seafood, I don't know that it was worth the $85 price tag for me since I don't like seafood. The buffet did have your traditional brunch items like eggs, benedict, french toast, pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. and they were all delicious. I enjoyed the spring salad and fresh fruits and cheeses. I don't know that we would go back for one of their special buffets, given its price point. We would, however, definitely come back for a regular a la carte dinner!

Hostess was so rude and disrespectful. We had on our notes for a private table for our anniversary. She out us in a booth in the middle of two tables on each side. When I asked about it, she moved us and threw down the menus. Let manager know on her actions. He was very apologetic for it. Waitress was very nice! It was not about the price of the food, but for the disrespect of the hostess a round of drinks or dessert should have been offered to be comped. Don’t plan on coming back. Horrible anniversary experience!

My wife and I celebrated our 20 year anniversary. We arrived early and had a seat at the bar and waited for our reservation time. The bar tender, Ryan immediately greeted us and made sure we were well taken care of.

I’ve dined here many times in the past and always return due to the great seafood and menu offerings, the excellent service, and the comfortable seats. This time was no exception! We enjoyed two of the chef’s specials and my “Go to” choice: the crab cakes. Wonderful dining experience again!

Expensive and not that great. My French fries were barely warm. The burger not worth 20.00. Service good. I'm allergic to shellfish so not many options. The fish very expensive. It was not choice to dine there. I've been there several times before and have always thought it was overrated.

It was an ok experience. Had an issue when the fire alarms went off but no one even our waitress came to the table and tells everyone that everything was fine. Just like nothing happened.
