Very cool old school vibe. The prime rib was excellent and Antonio our server was terrific. I would recommend while in Monterey.

We were appreciative of the hostess getting us in via the Handicapped door. Our waiter, Brandon, and his assistant were very attentive and happy to answer our questions. We enjoyed the Abalone bisque, calamari appetizer, and Caesar salad. Two of us had the halibut and were especially amused with the Balsamic pearls and one had a tender, butter-basted Ribeye steak. We were served a complimentary chocolate birthday cake slice with raspberry sauce and ordered a Tiramisu and cappuccino. It was a wonderful dinner and I would definitely recommend it for a special dinner.

We were taken to a lovely table in the Conservatory. Very attentive server. Very knowledgeable. We tried the abalone bisque and abalone medallions. Each was excellent. Would definitely recommend them.

Excellent food! We ordered the 3 course dinner that costs only $59 per person. It is available only from 5-6:30 pm. I had abalone chowder, sea bass and spumoni and they were worth it. We also had half dozen oysters and only costs $2 per piece as it was a Wednesday. It would normally have costs $29 for a half dozen. They were very fresh! We would definitely come back if we visit Monterey again.

We had an amazing experience at the Sardine Factory. Our waiter Don was so friendly and really made our night special with his warm and inviting energy. He did an excellent job explaining the specials and made it easy to choose our entrees. He also gave us the history on the restaurant making our time there even more memorable. The food was phenomenal and really highlighted our time in Monterey. The desserts even had extra charm with large ice sculpted swans and bubbling dry ice. I definitely would recommend this as a must visit while in Monterey!

i was gonna order sardines because i just came back from a vacation to Spain and Portugal, but they don’t have any. They said they could prepare it but it would be from the cans. Anyway, the food was delicious. The people that eat there wear wonderful clothes. We ordered their special menu for Mother’s Day. The soup was delicious and the salad is good. i ordered fish and my wife ordered steak. We were also served with chocolate mousse. Everything was delicious.

Fantastic food and service as always. Have eaten here numerous times and always have received great food!!!! My wife is vegetarian and they accommodate her dietary needs with chef designed vegetarian entrees. Make sure to make reservations early especially for special events (holiday, birthdays, anniversaries) as they fill up fast.

I took my family here for a Mother’s Day dinner. Beautiful restaurant with fabulous good. Our waiter was excellent, attentive, and professional. I would recommend.

Service and food were excellent. Special four-course Mother's day menu had many choices. The prime rib and filet mignon were outstanding. Also loved the chocolate mouse cake and fruit tart. We will definitely be back

We were just two and seated in the atrium in the very worst table - right across from the bussing station and the entrance where waiters were coming in and out - no one should have been seated there! We were lucky nothing got spilled on us as waiters were passing by. The room was very noisy and it was hard to hear each other talk. Recommend that next time you only seat parties of four or more in that room. The food and the service were both very good but the ambience totally took away from the experience.

Great, classic restaurant. Atrium room is a very nice setting. Food was very good and service was excellent. It's an expensive restaurant but was a great experience for a special Mother's Day dinner.

Great food with enormous portions(be prepared to take some home with you). I have never seen such an enormous wine list either. Great service although you may have to wait for the initial course if it’s very busy. Would definitely recommend.

We had a large party of 11. Our server Jennifer seem to be annoyed with us. We expected our dining experience to be fun, lively, and pleasant. But instead, we experienced a server with an attitude. Overall, the servers attitude made our dining experience at the sardine factory, less enjoyable.

Nice ambiance, food and drinks were excellent. A little noisy in the conservatory dining room, though. That’s probably because of some loud people talking across tables without regard for other diners. Our waiter, Antonio, was quite professional. The Sardine Factory has always been the place to go for excellence in dining. Highly recommended. It’s obvious that the owners and employees take pride in their service.

Date night! The Sardine Factory NEVER disappoints! Perfect food and amazing service. (Bonus points for the Prom couples having dinner around us!) This is always a go to for a special night out as we know we will have a fantastic time with great food!

Great restaurant and great food. If you want semi quiet do not sit in the atrium section. While beautiful area you won’t be able to hear yourself think. Switched tables to back inside the main restaurant and it was very pleasant.

The Sardine Factory did not disappoint even though we asked for the Captains Room and we were told it was hosting a party that night. Mary and Teddy were able to seat us in a nice area between the bar and said room. Don our waiter was attentive and punctual. We have been coming here for 40 years so it would take a lot to disappoint. Keep up the good work!

Wonderful, as always. Love the ambiance and the service is top notch. Brandon and Ignacio made sure we had everything we needed and paced our meal perfectly. First time to try the Seafood Pasta Marina. Jam packed with seafood and the sauce was so good, I wanted to turn up the bowl and drink it!

He has played in numerous bands, opening for various acts such as Steppenwolf, Black Oak Arkansas, Rick Derringer, Crash Test Dummies and more. Versatile and accommodating David takes and plays requests from Led Zeppelin to Elvis Presley to the Everly Brothers.
