My daughter and I dined at the Metairie location and really enjoyed our dinner. Our waiter was topnotch, couldn’t do enough for us! He made sure everything was to our liking and kept checking to see if we needed anything. He is definitely an asset to your restaurant. (We had a 4:00 reservation).

We are long time customers of Ruth’s Chris Steak house in Metairie. It has been our go to steak joint for over 3 decades. I know what I want before I get there and don’t need to look at the menu other than to choose a cocktail or drink before the meal. I ordered the Dirty Goose martini which arrived only moderately cold instead of the icy drink that I was anticipating. For reasons that I don’t understand the food quality has changed dramatically over the last year. The bread is different and NOT good. What happened to the NOLA French bread?? Even the butter is different! The Ruths Chris Chop salad that has been a huge favorite tasted different and was presented oddly. My steak arrived without the usual sizzling butter and was overcooked as were the shrimp. I missed the manager who had been there for years and who always took care of everything. I missed the young lady who is a knowledgeable sommelier and usually stopped by to offer advice on wine. Whatever it is that you are doing please make it right again

Great experience. Lobster bisque was not my favorite, but it’s the blueberry cheesecake that keeps us coming back. Steaks were cooked properly and served hot. Wish they’d bring the French onion soup back.

I hate to post this, but I need to. This was one our worst dining experiences in a very long time. And with the reputation that RC has, it was even more disappointing. We were sat upstairs & to begin we were not approached for a minimum of 7 minutes. No waiter, no water, no service. I was very close to leaving as the waiter finally approached our table. Just the 2 of us, by the way. We ordered drinks & water. He did apologize for the wait(guilt)but gave us our drinks on the house. He also mentioned that hot bread was on the way, but that never showed up the entire evening , after asking for it 2 more times. We both ordered steak & lobster with 2 sides. Still no bread. When our meal arrived my wife was given her filet with shrimp, not lobster. Again, apologies, . The waiter did order another tail for her, but it only came at the end of her meal & cold of course. We would have love to have dined together, at the same time, but my wife, of course, ate her lobster tail at the “tail end “ of her meal. Our waiter probably stopped by a couple times , not several to check in us. Yes, he was very apologetic, because he knew it wasn’t a good dining experience. As for dessert, we had had enough , ready to leave . We left with xtra desserts & 2 loaves of bread. Lol. If I knew that were the case we would’ve just order take out and taken the meal with us. The best service we did receive was by the young valet. He was quick, responsive & I’m sure he will be very successful in life. He took pride in his performance. Also, RC’s dress code ….there isn’t one. Cut off shorts, flip flops, tshirts , ripped faded jeans were numerous. What happened to respect & some class. Years ago, I was required to wear a jacket. Upscale dining at RC in Metairie is a forgone conclusion now. Money not well spent.
