For as many years as I have heard about this restaurant, yesterday was the first time I actually went! It was remarkable! My best friend and I were celebrating our 42nd birthdays. Our server Kyle, upon hearing it was our first time there, gave us a brief history of the restaurant, which, as a history lover, I quite appreciated! From the French onion soup, to the perfectly cooked filet (MR), to the potatoes au gratin, to the bread pudding- everything was absolutely phenomenal. Our server was attentive, friendly, and professional. The restaurant is lovely and the layout is beautiful. I have been to the Angus Barn a dozen times and although I love the aesthetics, I have always been underwhelmed by the actual food- so Ruth’s Chris was a surprising delight and I look forward to more special occasions here!

I made a reservation at Ruth Chris to celebrate a birthday. Clark was wonderful and attentive! Overall, we had great dinning experience. The roundtable available upstairs, seats 11 guests comfortably and feels private :)

We ordered 4 steaks medium well and they were all under cooked. No apologies given by management. I asked for a pairing Halibut with wine and I did not get. I received a steak with a side of spinach and shrimp was under cooked. I have been to this restaurant several times and never has this happened. We were charged extra for the wine which should have been included with the pairing.

My adult child took me for a Mother’s Day dinner. My only complaint for the evening was the over cooked French fries my son ordered. They were clearly over cooked (dark brown in color). And my son said they had no taste or seasoning on them!!! I didn’t want to send them back or complain because I felt our server should have clearly seen they were over cooked!!!

I’ve been traveling for many many years and I’ve been to most of the best steak houses in the United States and some international. The people that run Ruth’s Chris steakhouse really have their act together. The food is exceptionally good and they are training their people well. The wine list and choices are spectacular and the ambience is very nice. Five stars

They set us by the kitchen - it was so loud we could not hear each other. Service was sub-par. Steak was way over cooked - once the waiter finally came by to tell him most of the others were half-way through meal. It took 15 minutes to get another steak. The rest of the party had finished eating by then. We went 20 minutes plus without water refills. Dessert was screwed up as well. Just a terrible meal. Even with knowing this by the manager nothing was done or acknowledged. Used to be one of the best RC in the area. Save your money and go to another site or another steak house.

Start off by saying that my girlfriend and I really enjoy Ruth's Chris and visit every few months. We ordered the artichoke dip appetizer and it was fair, not as hot as we would've liked when it came out. Both our 6 oz filets were ordered medium and my girlfriend's was a little more done than medium, but it still tasted great. The zucchini parmesan fries were great and the dipping sauce is fantastic. The au gratin potato side was mediocre at best...not at all up to the standard of most of Ruth's Chris food. Our waiter, Scott, was fantastic...very polite, helpful and sensitive to our needs. We, of course, will be returning.

The food and service were outstanding. We were there for a graduation celebration and our server made sure everything was perfect from beginning to end. Would highly recommend over other restaurants if a perfect evening is what you are looking for!

Everything was nice. It was my first time trying the spicy salmon and shrimp, I wouldn’t recommend it. The sweet potato casserole was amazing though! Everyone was very nice and showed me great birthday love!

This is my first time at this location and I was certainly pleased. My wife and I celebrated our one year anniversary and we truly enjoyed ourselves. The service was amazing and the entire experience was comfortable. The steaks were cooked to perfection! And we even got a tasty dessert on the house. I highly recommend this great restaurant

As alaways the meal was excellent. This was the third time we had our server, Scott, and he was always ready to accommodate. Steaks and salmon were the main courses and again great. Will go back again.

The food was great, but the service was terrible. When West down we could see that waiter was “stuck” at an other table chatting. But the service never got better we ordered drinks (we know that he has to wait on the bar - but it was more than 15 minutes). We Finally got water but each time we needed a refill we had to flag someone down. Finally the food came we were missing a mash potatoes and one steak was order with a topping. About 10 minutes later our potatoes came (it was much smaller than the original) then another 5 minutes later the topping for the steak came out. Never did the waiter say he was sorry the items were missing nor did he follow up when the items came out. Our waiter also had another large table we could see and he was at that table much more than even checking on us. Then it took 20 minutes to get our check and a to go bag. He tell us that he was sorry that he got caught up at another table. We realized that our “service” didn’t matter because his tip was guaranteed but we spent over $100 per person on our 5 person party- one of which was a 5 year old- but the service was so sup par that it was overall a very disappointing dinner experience. We do realize it was a Saturday night - but still we have been there on many a busy Saturday night and have never been so disappointed.

We attended a Rombauer Wine pairing dinner. It was a 5-course dinner with 4 separate 4-ounce pours. The meal was delicious and the chosen wines were excellent! The lamb chops were some of the best. I would recommend a Ruth's Chris wine pairing dinner!

We’ve been going to Ruth’s Chris for 20 years. This was the worst experience by far. First the bread basket that came to the table had 2 smashed pieces of old bread in it. Then the salad came without croutons. We asked if croutons were supposed to be in the salad like it has been for the last 10 years we got it, they said yes and they were sorry and also brought out another basket of bread which was better. Then the steaks all came out extremely well done so we had to send them all back. When they brought them back out they didn’t offer to bring any sides or the shrimp that was supposed to be on top. So all the sides were cold. Hopefully it’s just a 1 time occurrence but the entire vibe at the Cary location seemed off. Was not a good birthday experience.

Service and atmosphere were exactly what you would expect at Ruth’s Chris - our waiter was attentive and helpful, restaurant is lovely. The food, however, was just average, and definitely not worth the price. My husband enjoyed his ribeye very much, but my filet was undercooked, which was immediately rectified, but then it came back overcooked and slightly charred (the chef put the same steak back on the burner/grill). Sides were good, but nothing unique, can easily get same sort of food elsewhere. Highlight of the meal was the cocktails and wine, of which they have a great selection. Overall, we had a good time, but the final cost was around $500 (as expected) and we didn’t feel we had an experience worth that amount of money. I think Angus Barn offers better food/atmosphere and provides the same level of service for around the same cost.

We were upstairs at a table squeezed right next to waiter station so continuous waiters going in/out, broken glass, they shouldn't have put a table there. Had steak Oscar and tiniest amount of asparagus and sauce outvon steak, more like a garnish

This was my first time going. I treated my boyfriend after a hectic few weeks of work for the both of us. It was so amazing. The food was so good. Scott our waiter was wonderful.

We were seated right away. Restaurant was fairly empty with only 2-3 other tables. Ordered app and after a good while our server Sarah came back to inform us that the kitchen had just informed her that they were out. She did a great job of recommending a replacement though. Bread arrived with enough butter for three times as much bread with the slices looking more like crackers. Our salads arrived and they were very good. In the middle of them we received the crab stuffed mushrooms and they were nicely done but we tried to. Filets were nicely cooked & had a great taste, shrimp were good, creamed spinach & mashed potatoes were nice, the lobster tails were good. Wife's mixed drink was strong but good. The weak points came at the end. Having never been there before we ordered cheesecake & the chocolate cake. Whew! Wife said that we Chocolate was like pure cocoa from the can & the cheesecake tasted like none I have ever had before & that's not in a good way. Sorry but they were UGH. Then when it came time to pay we had been given several gift cards over the years so gave to our server along with our credit card. At this point she informed us about the recent Darden buyout & it didn't come across as overly positive as she explained how only managers can handle gift cards so it may take a while to process the gift cards. We waited a while & she returned but when I looked the manager had not entered one of the gift certificates so we had to wait for her to circle back around & then start the process all over again. After waiting again the manager came by to deliver the bill himself & then commenced to tell us his version about how the managers are the only ones that can do the gift cards & how he doesn't understand why everyone can't do them. What had been a pretty good Ruths' Chris fine dining experience for 80% of our time had bottomed out and we ended up feeling like we had eaten at a Western Sizzlin. Everyone has an off night.
