Great service-person (Veronica, 5-stars). Okay food? Maybe. Not nearly worth the price, honestly. Noisy atmosphere- maybe use all your extra space and staff to seat those larger parties in a place where they can enjoy themselves without annoying everyone else. Your floor manager (5.15.24) never checked in with us until he was ready to take my credit card (and then took 30 minutes) A “not great” experience outside of your server, Veronica, who overcompensated for all of the other lacking moments. Really disappointed :(

Hostess was disconnected and on her phone texting upon arrival. She then walked off without explanation while we were standing at reception. We were seated in the bar despite having a table reservation. Would have been nice knowing we were going to be seated in “overflow”. Waiter was uncertain of what he was doing; appeared to be new. Staff tried to clear table multiple times before we were finished. Not returning here.

We had a wonderful time. Seated in the tall ceiling dining room promptly. Our server Sarah was wonderful. I had the. Chilean Sea Bass. It was really delicious and good size. My husband had the prefixe menu. Steak house salad, 6 oz. Filet with shrimp. Creamed spinach, sweet potato casserole and I ordered garlic mashed. Cheese cake for dessert. One on the house for me on Mother’s Day. Old Boston vibe. Love it.

Steak was overcooked and not sizzling Lobster was overcooked and had not taste, it was stuck to shell, my daughter meal was worse. The service was awful, no one came to chronicle us. Very inexperienced help. I’ve been a customer for about 20 years, I will not be back. NEVER AND I WILL PASS THIS ON TO MY ASSOCIATES PATRICK

The food was very good and the service was excellent. The prices are high so the value / price is ok but not great. The setting at this one in Boston is very unusual and fun.

Excellent steaks and mouth watering lamb chops. Great salads and large size side dishes. A wonderful wine list round out the offerings to make this a great restaurant.

Only real problem was the steak, which is ironic. The amount of salt overwhelmed everything and we found ourselves scraping the meat before each bite. Everything else was great, just disappointed with the seasoning of the filets at a top tier steakhouse.

We were there on 4/12 for an early dinner, can't remember our server's name but she gave my wife her card. Wonderful meal and service was excellent. One of our favorite places to go nationwide.

The space is lovely. The front hostess staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our server could not have been less interested in our table. It was a quiet night with only about 4 other tables dining. He was inattentive. No water refills. Was pushing alcohol on our group when we declined and kept mentioning drinks and wine. Some in the group dont drink alcohol and one no should have been enough. One entree came out 10 mins later than the others and while the food was good, the overall attitude of the server ruined the experience for two people who had never been to a Ruth’s Chris before, and did not justify the prices being charged for the level of service. Similarly another member in the party expressed that their cut of meat was not comparable to other locations and they did not eat about 1/3 of the steak.

Certain food items were cold (mashed potatoes). Salmon tasted very fishy. We took dessert to go but they didn’t include plastic wear or napkins. Experience was disappointing at this location.

Overall was very good. However, I asked for a salad without bacon. Within 5 minutes salad was on the table...with bacon. Brussel sprouts...with bacon. Nevertheless, the overall impression (and especially of our 15 years old boy) was good.

I requested a romantic table for 2 and was disappointed that we were seated in the lower level room, instead of the prettier main dining room. However , we did have a corner table, but the music playlist was at times annoying; switching from nice mellow jazz to loud rock. A family seated next to us had two rambunctious toddlers allowed to run around and bellow out piercing schreeches . Definitely a mood killer. We both enjoyed the steak . We shared the asparagus as a side;a little too heavy on oils. . The crab stuffed mushroom appetizer was lacking. Rather soggy, mushy texture. The chocolate flourless cake was a hit . Service was decent.

We were disappointed to be seated in the basement on such a beautiful restaurant rather than upstairs in the main dining room. We were celebrating a birthday, and I feel we were at the worst table - stuck in a corner nest to the stair to the kitchen. We were VERY disappointed. We had a better meal, better service and better ambience at a restaurant in the North End the night before.

Steak was originally bought out as medium rare , when medium well was requested. Also I requested & noted in my reservation that I wanted the dining room but they sat us in the bar.

I’ve been hearing about this place forever so we booked for our 25th anniversary. The restaurant is nicely decorated and little hearts were placed to decorate the table and there was a nice card. The waiters were friendly but the service was totally unsophisticated and not up to par for such a pricey establishment. We ordered the prix fixe menu with the upgrade. The meat was medium rare, but rather dry. One side possible: creamed spinach or mashed potatoes. We had potatoes and ordered a dude of Brussels sprouts - what we enjoyed the most. We had the dessert wrapped up - no choice here: a tiny cheesecake. Good thing we like cheesecake… The lighting in the restaurant is too dim. I love the atmosphere but had to hold my phone over the menu to be able to read it. All in all, I wouldn’t return here. Other restaurants serve just as good meat with higher end service. Definitely overrated

Ruth’s Chris has one of the best, if not the best, steak in Boston. Yes, it is expensive but so aren’t all the other steak houses. 💁🏻‍♂️ Staff is usually very pleasant and well informed. Two criticisms that they should easily fix/prevent: - The wine list is not up to date. Tried ordering a wine and was told “oh, I haven’t seen that for probably 2 years”. Then why is it still on the list??!! - This is an upscale restaurant & should be an upscale dining experience. Guests should be told to remove baseball caps! Yea, that sounds “old” but you know what? Wearing an old baseball cap while eating is classless.
