Always, and I mean always a fine dining experience. We’ve been dining here since the restaurant first opened. A Galveston jewel!

This was a top notch experience in Galveston. Food and service were both what you would expect for the caliber of the restaurant. It’s pricey, but I paid plenty for other meals in Galveston that disappointed, but I was not disappointed with this meal. Not sure if I’ll go back to Galveston, but Paco also has a restaurant across the street called Vargas that looked equally impressive and I’ll definitely check it out if I find myself back in Galveston.

The food lacked seasoning and was not hot when it arrived at our table. I got the empanadas, which were not crispy or hot and tasted terrible. I was so disappointed. The crab bisque only had a couple of pieces of crab, small cup for $20. Again, very disappointed for the price, and the high reviews on the place. My husband got a small filet of the red snapper and vegetables for $49. Wow, fish is not that expensive. I can’t believe it’s the same owner of the fabulous Vargas restaurant across the street.

We had a wonderful meal at Rudy & Paco’s. Terrific service. THE BEST crab bisque either of us ever had. Salads were good. The special was plantain crusted red snapper with a tomato cream sauce. Good but not great. Crème brûlée was excellent-not custardy-but creamy. We will return.

This is a classic restaurant. The food was excellent, the service was Top Notch. We even got to meet Paco and he was checking on all tables and made sure that all was taken care of. We can’t wait to go back.

Went for a lunch date with the husband. He chose the Tuesday special (pork chop) and I chose a chicken dish. Service, as always is superior. The food was excellent and very generous portions.

This was the first time my husband and I attended “Rudy and Paco’s” for dinner and our whole experience was fabulous. The food was exquisite, e.g., escargot, and crab cakes are second to none. We didn’t order entrees this time, instead opted for a few appetizers and desserts! We will definitely return and order the salmon and steaks next time. At the end of our dinner, we met Paco and expressed to him our total delight in savoring his foods and enjoying the quiet romantic ambiance. He then offered to give us a private tour of his other restaurant “Vargas”, which his daughter runs and is located across the street. The tour of Vargas was impressive and the food also looks and smells amazing, so we can’t wait to have dinner there as well.
