    An upscale dinning experience that is right on the harbor . No valet parking so give yourself extra time . But well worth the effort . The menu had something for everyone . We had the canoe appetizers and Sea Bass with capers sauce , and lobster bisque. Everything was perfectly cooked. Our server Spencer was attentive and friendly. Love the atmosphere! Love the staff . Love the food . Kudos Roy’s

    Great Father’s Day luncheon at Roy’s with family. Really liked the Kung pow Calamari appetizer. The wagyu burger was also great value. The portion for the fish of the day was small for the price.

    We had a lovely dinner outside. We were able to sit near a heater which made it more pleasant. The food was delicious and our server, Lauren, was lovely. Only disappointment was dessert which we were told would have coconut ice cream but it had vanilla ice cream.

    Roy's staff did a fantastic job accommodating our party, making sure everyone was waited on promptly, drinks were refilled, and everything was delicious!

    We had a lunch reservation for 6. They set a table that sat 4 people and wanted us to sit there. The chairs were touching. We then asked if they could push two tables together and they acted like it would be a problem. They finally pushed the table together. The restaurant was hosting a large group (25-30 people) in a room but other than that there were open tables in the main area. We sat down and ordered in about 10 min. After about 25 minutes we asked if our food would be coming out soon. The person we asked said she would get the manager. The manager came over and said that there were two tickets in front of ours. He apologized that the kitchen was behind due to the large party. We said that we needed to get back to our conference in 20 min. We expressed that there had been no communication for us to make a decision. About to min later they came over to tell one in our group that they had run out of chicken. They packed up our lunches to take back. It was over an hour from the time we ordered. The black cod was greasy and the veg was over cooked and the rice was gummy. One of the other lunches was not prepared as requested. Over all the meals were cold.

    I would give this restaurant and our dining experience a zero star rating if possible. I’ve never had such a terrible dining experience. The food and service were both terrible and unacceptable for a restaurant such as Roy’s. We had a reservation and to wait for the table to be cleaned for about 15 minutes. We were at the restaurant for a total of three hours because of how short staffed the restaurant was that night. The manager gave us an excuse that there was an early concert in the area and they shouldn’t have taken walk-in customers because they couldn’t support all of the customers with reservations. We were told the restaurant manager and chef quit earlier that week, and the pastry chef walked out and quit earlier that day. I made it very clear when placing our order that I had a severe crab allergy and confirmed with the waitress none of the appetizers we ordered contained crab. She assured me they did not, and we thoroughly read the ingredient list for each item on the menu. No crab was listed on the menu. The waitress also said she went and confirmed with the chef and was told there was no crab in the food we ordered. When the appetizers were finally delivered close to an hour later, with the excuse that the kitchen was very backed up, my son took a bite of one of the appetizers and stated it tasted like crab. She once again assured us there was no crab in the appetizer and it was safe to eat. I was a very reluctant, asked her to check with the chef again. She took the appetizer plate went back to the kitchen and he confirmed there was no crab. My son took another bite and was adamant it had crab. I asked for a manager and a young experience man was very nonchalant about it and blamed it on the waitress. My husband pointed out the menu should have stated there was crab in the appetizer. Clearly this restaurant does not take food allergies seriously!! Very poorly managed restaurant. They’re lucky they didn’t seriously injure or kill someone that night.

    I can’t even with this one. Service times were so bad that tables around us were walking out after an hour without receiving any drinks or appetizers. Main meals were taking up to 2 hours. Manager was giving comp apps and drinks left and right. Everything seemed staffed ok. Just poorly operating.

    Sadly, I have to write a poor review of Roy’s. While it is in a beautiful setting, everything else was a disaster. The restaurant was short staffed and after one hour we never received our food. We were also told that they ran out of what we ordered and never told us to order something else. They neglected to inform us of the situation. The restaurant was poorly managed and we have never had a worse experience. We left and had dinner elsewhere.
