Join us at 7,700 feet, mid-way up Bald Mountain, for a spectacular and unique dining experience. With unrivalled views of the Sawtooth Mountains and accessible only by gondola, the Roundhouse Restaurant has been serving up memorable meals, soul-warming drinks, and stunning views since 1939. Whether you are joining us for a relaxing lunch on the deck or a post-hike beer with friends, Roundhouse offers the authentic charm of historic Sun Valley with a spectacular on-mountain dining experience.

Reservations are recommended for lunch and require the purchase of a foot traffic pass to access the gondola.

Reservation changes and cancellations require 48 hours notice. Last minute cancellations and no shows will be charged $25 per person.

Our family saves eating at Round House for special occasions!!! The food is always SO GOOD, and the vibe is always super fun!!! Our waiter Terry, was outstanding and recommended some new menu items we normally wouldn’t have ordered, but turned out great!! Can’t wait to return!!!

Amazing! Must do! We had a late lunch meeting after our day of skiing, and then took the gondola down! Views, food and service are fantastic!

Truly one of the greatest experiences of my life! Grabbed a drink at the lodge at the base of the mountain and were able to transfer them to a plastic cup to take on the gondola ride up. Once we arrived we were about an hour early so we were able to grab a drink at the bar and ended up spending some time taking photos because the sunset was UNREAL. Truly the most magical sunset I’ve ever seen in my life! We ordered the smorgasbord, fondue, soup, salad, duck, filet, and both desserts. It was a serious feast and we were both so full but the food was all a 10/10 - honestly Michelin level. Absolutely fantastic night and service. Will 10000% be back!!

Top spot to watch the Alpenglow above Sun Valley. Pre fix dinner and drinks are pricey but it’s a must experience especially for non skier visitors to the resort.

We come every year when we visit to have lunch at the Roundhouse. We were seated in the area around the interior dining room. Next time we will need to specify the inside room as we only come once a year, and would like to dine in the interior. Our service was excellent and the food very good.

This was an amazing experience. The nighttime gondola ride alone was fantastic. They give you a blanket while riding up and down the gondola, which is a great touch. The Waite staff is beyond friendly, and the food was fantastic. Our favorite was the smorgasbord board.

If you can get a lunch reservation just do it. . You do have to pay for gondola ride if not skiing but so worth it. Come for the views stay for the fondue. The Roundhouse is fantastic.

Incredible experience this afternoon at the Roundhouse. What a view of the mountain range!! Our waiter Terry was fantastic! We really enjoyed getting to know him and appreciated his fast knowledge of the menu and the surrounding area We dined on the delicious truffle fries, lamb burger, duck sandwich, and elk meatballs, along with the Romain salad and mother earth salad. Fabulous ending to an incredible week of skiing on Bald Mountain Can’t wait to come back❤️

What an amazing venue for a winter lunch! 3 of the 4 of us ski/snowboard, so it was a real treat to be able to have the 4th member of our group be able to join us on the mountain and see what we’ve been raving about. The Roundhouse is a classic ski chalet—it features a massive 4-sided natural fireplace and 360 views of the mountains. Cozy, rustic elegance. Felt like Europe. And the food was exquisite. Not your average ski hill fare, that’s for sure! And yet it wasn’t outrageously expensive. I definitely recommend this dining experience, especially if people in your group won’t otherwise get on the mountain. I’m sure it’s romantic at night, but you can’t beat the views at lunchtime.

A great experience in an historic setting. Service excellent. Warm and friendly. We had a very pleasant lunch while skiing on a cold day. Fondue was very tasty. Nice bar.

We arrive 15 minuites early for our reservation at 2.15. We were told that the kitchen was closed and we needed to hurry up and place an order. We felt rushed to order and eat.

I hadn’t eaten in the roundhouse in about thirty years. Major change from getting tuna salad and a baked potato from the cafeteria. We enjoyed fondue and a few other items. The renovation was done quite tastefully.

No warning whatsoever that this was a $119/person 4 course menu! After a couple of glasses of wine and taxes and tip the bill was quickly $350. Everything is otherwise amazing at the Roundhouse but we’d certainly rather choose what we want. Left with an unnecessarily overfilled belly and a very empty wallet.

The truffle fries were great and we really enjoyed the fondue. The Wagyu burger I thought could have had a flavor and was a little small, also the temperature was a little cool. The wait staff was amazing. The gentleman never let my water glass go empty and the waitress was very personable and met our needs. Overall loved the experience and would go again.
