Le Roaring Fork concocte une audacieuse cuisine américaine au feu de bois dans une atmosphère agréable. The food and price points were great. One of the bartenders was lovely and took care of us, the other male bartender seemed standoffish and short with us and others. The hostess clearly didn’t check us in after we told her the name on the reservation since OpenTable emailed and asked if we were there.

Great time! Great food & service, very accommodating hosts making sure our group was able to be sat even when we added on a couple extra folks. The only downside was the noise level because some our group couldn’t hear one another. But! That’s what happens when a place is busy & doing something right I guess. Thanks again!!

As a donor/member of the Paramount Theater just next door, Roaring Fork has been a go to spot for pre-show dinner. Arrived at 6:15 for my reservation, was promptly seated and greeted by our server Jeffery. That is the end of the positives on this trip. Simple order - chips and queso , salad, a burger (med rare) and pork tenderloin for my friend. Had an 8pm show time to hit. At 7:45 our food arrived and our server took no ownership of the miss and was made aware as we were seated that we had an 8pm show. No manager visit, no apology, couldn’t even refill my water glass. Won’t be back to this spot. 85 minutes to wait for a burger is unacceptable and the lack of service even worse.

Hostess was super accommodating and on top of things. Server was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Kitchen was super slow and we waited 45 minutes for a burger.we had tickets to a show, and we had roughly 20 minutes to enjoy our meal for 2 people.

We had the filet, the rainbow trout, and the burger, and all of them had good portion sizes and tasted amazing. I would also definitely recommend the mac & cheese side. I think our waiter was named Gabriel. He was so nice and caring, and was just an excellent waiter. He definitely added to the positive experience. Thank you for the wonderful time!

Very accommodating, excellent service, albeit a bit rushed. Food was really delicious, especially filet. Interesting and varied offerings. Is definitely recommend it.

We were running late because of an accident on I-35 and had tickets to the Paramount. Eight of us! Roaring Fork held our reservation, got us in and out in time for the show, and didn’t bat an eye on separate checks. Can’t speak highly enough of the service. Our waiter was patient, kind, and had a smile on his face, no matter what we asked. Great dining experience.

Our server Luis was what made the night great. He was always there and shared his recommendations. We ordered: mussels and chorizo that were excellent, bone in ribeye was cooked correctly but the sear was a little too much crust, Mac n cheese and tryffle fries were very good and the pecan pie was solid.

Mediocre at best: Two salads, soup, 2 8 oz filets and two sides and cocktails. Server friendly but absentee most of the time. Helpful with wine selection. Soup very small cup $10 and no spoon so lukewarm once my guest was able to eat. Salads average. Entree and sides served much later and cooked properly- nothing exceptional. I was disappointed as suggested this place to out of town guest. Two large parties seated as we finished our meal and place not exceedingly busy. I didn’t understand the lack of attentiveness. Paint chipped on walls, looked messy. North location previously much better all around. Too many other stellar steakhouses to recommend this place for what is expected to be an above average experience.

Me and my girlfriend went to dinner for her 31st birthday and everything was outstanding. Our server Lauren was amazing she made our evening very special. We ordered a cosmo and old fashion to start they were some of the best drinks we’ve had. We started with the Brussel sprouts and order the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin and cedar salmon they all were just melt in your mouth fantastic. Lauren brought out crème brûlée for dessert with a candle and happy birthday written in chocolate sauce. Couldn’t have had a better dinner anywhere!

Kat did an excellent job serving our table! The food was beautifully plated, steak was good but not as great or as tender as expected for the price. The creamed spinach side was over salted, but everything else was perfect. We’ll be back, but probably not for steak.

I had planned a quiet evening of conversation and dinner with a longtime friend I had not seen in years. The restaurant was so noisy, even sitting next to each other, you could hardly carry on a conversation. Part of this was attributed to the tables being so close together as well as several large tables in a contained seating area. I have always enjoyed the food at Roaring Fork, but for a fine dining restaurant, the noise level far exceeded simply being defined as energetic. It was unacceptable.

I’ve dined here before because it’s convenient when attending a show at the Paramount Theater. I probably won’t go back again for a while. Mediocre food in a noisy atmosphere for the price. Limited vegetarian options. Best part of the meal the Truffle fries!

I have eaten here once before and received outstanding service but this meal was lacking in service and the overall attention to detail which was too bad as I specifically picked it for a special occasion dinner. To start, the women’s bathroom had a broken sink, no soap that I reported to the hostess who said “ I know.” Later in the meal I went back and nothing had been corrected. Our cocktails had to be sent back as the mojitos we ordered didn’t have any sugar and were bitter; and it was halfway through the meal when they reappeared. We didn’t have any knifes at the table for the meal and I asked the waiter and he only brought one?! So after waiting several Minutes for him to return to being more as to the other members of the dinner party, I actually just got up myself and went to find one as my meal was getting cold. We had asked to have a plate split in the kitchen (I understood the upcharge) but it came out non-plated as requested and no offer was made when it was pointed out to correct it. The green beans were raw not dente and our waiter made us feel like we were a bother. When I left there was no one at the hostess desk to speak with so we just left a bit discouraged with our dinner. All of the above could have been corrected but we never had anyone to ask. I drove in from out of town and my friend flew in from out of state so it was a huge disappointment. I hope will be better next time.

I love Roaring fork! Their prices are so reasonable compared to other comparable ones. The best part was the service. The gentleman was our server was absolutely fantastic! The food is delicious too.

The food, drinks and vibes were excellent, service was great too. We went upstairs after to the balcony and smoked cigar and had extra cocktails. It was great.

Our drinks were good, we had appetizers and I just ordered the wedge salad for my entree. I had to send it back because the bacon wasn’t crispy. When it came back out I ate it, but had to pick around the slightly cooked part. It was ok. The last time I dined here it was amazing so I chalk that up to Friday night!

Can I give an eight star rating on a scale of five? The menu is not overlong but full of wonderful choices. The food we tried was EXCELLENT! The poblano cheese grits was fantastic. The green chili stew was marvelous- very rich and unctuous. With a three day stay in Austin, we may well return to try more of the menu. Service was friendly and professional. We watched a table of 12 with unique orders served with aplomb.
