Le Roaring Fork concocte une audacieuse cuisine américaine au feu de bois dans une atmosphère agréable. Temperature in the restaurant was freezing. Service was very slow and it was not busy. Steak undercooked. 2 hours for a 4 person lunch service isn't practical.

The ambience was great. The food was delicious. The service was very good. I will definitely recommend this restaurant in the future.

The beef cut known as filet mignon I had was of unacceptable quality due to the presence of a major nerve running through its center. The mashed potatoes were excessively salty, and the shrimp was tough and rubbery. On previous occasions, we have dined at this establishment in the evening and experienced no issues. However, our most recent visit, which occurred earlier in the day, resulted in a completely unpleasant experience. I was extremely disappointed, especially considering that it was my mother-in-law's first time dining there.

Our food was excellent especially the french onion soup. Our server was Jessica and she is top notch.

My business partner and I come to Austin once a month for work and we always make it a point to try to a new restaurant every time. We decided to try Roaring Fork because we were staying at the Sonesta so we figured why not. We read it was a bit upscale so we hesitated at first because our reservation was so early, it felt weird to speak above a whisper. The restaurant felt upscale and we felt rude if we spoke too loud. That is, until the service started. Our server Andreas is a total gem of a person. He approached us with a welcoming charisma that really cut any tension and made us feel comfortable and at home. It’s a breath of fresh air to have a real human like interaction when you dine at what is considered an “upscale” establishment. Now the food, the food was immaculate. I got a filet while my partner got the salmon. The filet was cooked to the PERFECT temperature while the salmon was glazed to perfection. There are so many dishes that sounded incredible but I’m going to have to save them for the next trip to Austin. All in all, Roaring Fork was a great casual/upscale experience. I’m looking forward to dining here again, something we rarely do when visiting Austin.

The steaks are terrific, as advertised and expected. The cornbread was so good! However, the pork dish was already "sold out" and it was only 6:15p. That makes no sense. One of us had a salad with chicken, and the while the salad and dressing were great, the chicken was actually boiled and no flavor whatsoever. Dessert was fabulous. And our service was great.

10/10 Do Recommend! Everything we ate was absolutely delicious, it was a comfortable environment, and our server, Lauren, was fantastic. My partner and I have left already making plans on returning. Definitely a new favorite for us!
