It’s not that it was bad, it’s just the food was mediocre for the price. I totally understand fine dining but the portions, in conjunction to the insipid flavour, and then when you add on the price for everything, it just doesn’t seem worth going back. It’s “award-winning” but just didn’t fit my palate. For me, there could be a better balance of more robust flavour and slightly larger proportions. Also, what’s this, you have to pay to get upstairs to the lounge? This would literally be the ONLY place that I know of in west loop that charges adults to enter… not my vibe.

Such a cute aesthetic! Love the cherry blossoms! The complimentary saki was a nice touch! We liked the variety of different options on the menu, but was hoping it would taste just a little better. The toro sashimi was great! Will come back and hopefully get to see the lounge upstairs!

It was very slow paced. We had the tasting menu, which was delicious, but we had other plans 3 hours after our reservation started. We were there for 3.5 hours and had to ask them to speed it up in order for us to make our other plans. It was delicious but extremely expensive for the amount of food given. We were not full by the time we left 3.5hrs later. The service was great. There was a million bussers and runners, but I think there was only one server/waitress. The kitchen seemed to be quite slow. I would go back, but know that it will take a very long time, and I will likely not get the tasting menu - too expensive for the amount of food

My friends and I had a very enjoyable Saturday night dinner experience with Chef Chan’s amazing tasting menu! The Lichy Martini was delicious and surprisingly not too sweet!

Our dinner was incredible - this is now my boyfriend and my favorite restaurant in the city, and we agreed it was one of the best restaurants we’ve been to in the world. The service was incredible, they were so attentive and careful with my allergies, and the room was beautiful and calm and quiet even though every table was taken. This is officially our special occasion celebration spot!

it was an amazing experience! there were so many options this week with restaurant week going on but had a few of their plates on the menu. the tenderloin and the nigiri were soooo delicious, will definitely be returning again!

I went for restaurant week, and I was a bit disappointed in the tenderloin but liked their nigiri. The quantity was that of a tasting type meal, the taste experience was below average.

This was our first visit to Komo and it was SO good! We had a 6:30 resy and were able to take advantage of Happy Hour (5-7:00 M-F) food and drink specials. Everything we ate and drank was delicious! The Lychee Martini was really good. Hamachi and the Nigiri flight both beautifully prepared and presented. We had quite a few dishes to share and each was excellent! Loved the experience and will return!

This was an incredible experience; they provide complimentary sake upon arrival, and the interior design is calming and gorgeous. Our server was attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious!

Great date spot / cozy romantic spot. Little further East of Halsted on Randolph, so I've missed this one before. Glad we went! Apparently there is a dance club upstairs; didn't go, but that is a nice option when you're looking for something extra. :)

The food here is not only delicious, but very unique. You're not gonna find a lot of these dishes anywhere else. Very attentive staff, and overall a fantastic experience. Highly recommend if you want an interesting dining experience.

Never fails to amaze me how chef Macku combines flavors and leaves you very satisfied with your food, no matter what you pick. Staff wonderfully plates dishes. Make sure to have a dessert!

Overall a great experience. Our reservation was delayed by about 20 min due to a party ahead of us but Komo was more than accommodating giving us a comped drink and appetizer. Very high class and great business ethics. Would def go here again

We dined at Komo when it first opened two years ago. Tasting menu was delicious and service was excellent. This time around food good, service was fine but a bit noisy and smelled like cleaning fluid slightly. We were not near bathrooms. Disappointing dinner…..

Great cocktail selections. We took advantage of the Tuna Nigiri specials and got great bonus pieces of fatty tuna. I recommend taking as you any special the waiter tells you about.

Amazing service. It was the first time attending and we were celebrating my brothers birthday- the staff was phenomenal. Miranda is phenomenal! She was so fantastic walking us through the menu. Highly recommend and will certainly come back
