Das Essen war sehr lecker. Leider war der Service an dem Tag unterbesetzt und dadurch etwas überfordert. Die Bedienung die da war war aber sehr engagiert und freundlich.

Perfection from beginning to end. We had the full four course meal including wine selections and everything was a joy. The pork ribs were the best of all time and I normally don't like ribs Location is on a fairly noisy street with a lot of construction but that's not the fault of the restaurant. This place is a little gem that deserves to be far more popular than it is. I have paid far more for far less.

Food was really great as always. The only downside is that server (owner?) seemed a bit unhappy but hey, that's Berlin.

Wir hatten das Sommermenue, das mit 3- bzw. 4-Gängen inkl. Weinbegleitung für 33,- - 44,- Euro ausgesprochen fair kalkuliert war. Der kleine Vorspeisenteller erwies sich für meine Frau schon eher als Hauptgericht, die einzelnen Gerichte schmeckten sehr gut. Der Zwischengang mit einem Königsberger Klops vom Rotbarsch in Kapernsauce mit Roter Bete erwies sich als mächtig und sehr geschmacksstark, was sich einerseits durch den Rotbarsch ergab und andererseits wohl eine Folge der reichlich vorhandenen Kapern war, insgesamt empfanden wir das Gericht aber etwas übersalzen, weniger wäre hier mehr gewesen. Der Hauptgang, geschmortes Rinderbäckchen und kurzgebratenes Medaillon vom Rinderfilet, war so mürbe, dass ein Messer nicht benötigt wurde. Dazu gab es Saisongemüse und handgeschabte Spätzle, alles schmackhaft und gut, hier hätte ich mir nur etwas mehr gehaltvolle Sauce gewünscht. Der Nachtisch mit verschiedenen Leckereien schmeckte gut. Zu allen Gängen gab es jeweils generöse 0,1 l schmackhafter Weine aus Süddeutschland und Österreich. Insgesamt hat es uns in diesem angenehm lichten Restaurant gut gefallen, der Service durch die Hausherrin war äußerst angenehm und nett. Das Preis-Leistungs-Niveau ist hervorragend, allerdings sollte der Hausherr und Koch die Größe der einzelnen Gerichte dem Gesamtmenue anpassen. Kurz gesagt: Ambiente und Service im 1-Sterne-Bereich, Essen gutbürgerlich gut, aber mit Luft nach oben. Wir schwanken in der Bewertung zwischen gut bis sehr gut - also eigentlich 3,5 Open-Table-Sterne.

Exzellente schwäbische Küche, Hausmannskost wie etwa Wurstsalat, saure Nierchen oder Kässpätzle vorzüglich verfeinert. Große Wein-Auswahl aus der Region, auch von offenen Sorten. Kundige, freundliche Bedienung, sehr schön gedeckte Tische mit weißen Tischdecken, Stoffservietten usw. Daher bestes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis!

The service was particularly exceptional here. We had come knowing what we wanted to order from the online menu, and then it wasn’t on the menu there, but they made it for us anyway. They were also very friendly and brought the food quickly. We both ordered the Käsespätzle. The Spätzle is housemade and it was very good.

It was a great local meal. Our hostess/waitress was a delight and very helpful when we couldn't read the menu as well as we expected. A great night out.
